A β cyclodextrin derivative bearing seven cationic arms and its singly charged analogue, i.e., per-6- deoxy-f-（1-methylimidazol-3-ium-3-yl）-β-cyclodextrin （3） and mono-fi-deoxy-6-（1-methylimidazol- 3-ium-3-yl）-β-cyclodextrin （4） were synthesized and fully characterized. Their induced aggregation behaviours towards two anionic surfactant, that is, sodium dodecyl sulfonate （SDS） and dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate （Aerosol OT, AOT）, were investigated by UV-vis, NMR, Zeta-potential, dynamic light scattering （DLS）, and transmission electron microscopy. The results revealed that host 3 can induce the molecular aggregation of anionic surfactant at concentration far lower than its original CAC, leading to the larger diameter, the narrower size distribution and the higher thermal stability of the induced aggregate towards the anionic surfactant possessing more hydrophobic tails.

BACKGROUND： Clinical evidence has demonstrated that insulin resistance might be an independent risk factor for ischemic stroke, which has not been recognized. At present, insulin resistance has been proven to be an independent risk factor for coronary arteriosclerotic heart disease. However, the relationship between the onset and prognosis of ischemic stroke remains unclear. OBJECTIVE： This study was designed to analyze the relationship between insulin resistance and ischemic stroke and the correlation between insulin resistance and stroke risk factor, and to investigate the relationship between insulin resistance and ischemic stroke prognosis as well as whether insulin resistance is an independent prognostic factor. DESIGN： A non-randomized concurrent control experiment. SETTING： Department of Geriatric Disease, Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College. PARTICIPANTS： A total of 106 inpatients with ischemic stroke of the cervical internal carotid artery, who had suffered from the disease within the previous 72 hours, were admitted to the Department of Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College from March to December in 2005 and, recruited for the present study. All 106 inpatients corresponded to the diagnostic criteria of ischemic stroke, formulated at the Fourth National Cerebrovascular Disease Conference in 1995, and were confirmed as having had an ischemic stroke by CT/MRI examinations. The patient group consisted of 54 males and 52 females. An additional 50 healthy individuals, who received health examinations simultaneously, were included as controls. Among the control subjects, there were 26 males and 24 females. Informed consent for laboratory measurements was obtained from all subjects; this study was approved by the Hospital Ethics Committee. Polar groups and defects were introduced on the surface of the prepared Nano-Au/CNTs by a mixed acids treatment process, and their electrocatalytic properties were investigated in this study. In the present work,a nanoporous ZnO/n-Si structure has been proposed as a new type infrared *** by one laser pulse with wavelength of 1064 nm,this structure exhibits a double-peak decay of transient ***,the time interval between these two peaks increases linearly with the increase of irradiated pulsed energy,indicating the promising application of this hetero-junction in photo-energy detection of infrared pulsed laser.A possible mechanism for this particular photoresponse has been discussed.

We have studied quantum statistical properties of the exciton in a leaky quasi-mode cavity. It is shown that when the exciton is initially in a squeezed coherent state whereas cavity initially in a vacuum state, there is energy exchange between the exciton and cavity. Both the exciton and cavity may exhibit sub-Poissonian distribution and exist quadrature squeezing. Calculation shows that correlation between the exciton and cavity is classical, which implies that there is not the violation of the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality.

A novel-type material based on metal doped 2D InSe (M@2DInSe) has been proposed for CO *** results reveal that the conventional Blyholder mechanism can be applicable to M@2DInSe systems,and the charge transfer between CO and M@2DInSe can serve as an effective measurement for the adsorption energy of *** M@2DInSe,the response of electronic structures towards CO adsorption is also strongly correlated with the adsorption energy of CO,demonstrating an apparent metal-to-insulator transition for Fe@2DInSe and Mo@2DInSe under the influence of CO *** findings provide a new material-design scheme to detect CO molecules and promising candidates for further experimental studies.
