Sesame is a labor intensive crop with limited mechanized harvesting mainly due to the seed shattering(SS)*** this study,we performed a genetic analysis of the seed-shattering resistance(SR)trait with a SR sesame mutant *** the SS type,the parenchyma cells in the abscission zone of the 12M07 mutant are arranged loosely but adhere to the seed *** analysis of six generations derived from 12M07(SR)×Xiangcheng dazibai(SS)showed that the SR trait is recessive and controlled by a single gene *** mapping of the F2population with 888,619 variants(single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and insertion-deletion(InDels))and 31,884 structural variations(SVs)determined that only SV12002 in the 5′upstream region of gene Sindi0765000(named SiHEC3)in Chr.3 was significantly associated with the SR ***3 encodes the bHLH transcription factor.A 1,049 bp deletion occurred in the 5′UTR of Sihec3 in ***3 is mainly expressed in developing placental tissues,with the expression peaking in capsules at 45 days after pollination.A dual-luciferase reporter assay in tobacco confirmed that the promoter activity of Sihec3 was reduced because of the deletion of the 1,049 bp promoter ***–protein interaction network analysis showed that HEC3 is co-expressed with nine key proteins,such as SHATTERPROOF1(SHP1)and SEEDSTICK(STK)which participate in the secondary wall biosynthesis of the abscission layer in *** findings of this study show the important function of Sihec3corresponding with the SR trait and supply the genetic information for breeding new varieties that are amenable to mechanized harvesting in sesame and other crops.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common chronic arrhythmia in clinical practice, which can cause high disability and mortality with the progress of the disease. Many studies at home and abroad have shown that the incidence of atrial fibrillation gradually increases with age. Clinically, the onset of most AF patients is insidious, which is difficult to capture by routine electrocardiogram, and there is some difficulty in the diagnosis. In order to make the early diagnosis of atrial fibrillation more efficient and accurate, this paper reviews the current status and research progress of detection technology for atrial fibrillation at home and abroad, in order to provide a scientific basis for the early diagnosis of atrial fibrillation.

Vascular etiology is the second most prevalent cause of cognitive impairment ***-1,which is produced and secreted by endothelial cells and astrocytes,is implicated in the pathogenesis of ***,the way in which changes in astrocytic endothelin-1 lead to poststroke cognitive deficits following transient middle cerebral artery occlusion is not well ***,using mice in which astrocytic endothelin-1 was overexpressed,we found that the selective overexpression of endothelin-1 by astrocytic cells led to ischemic stroke-related dementia(1 hour of ischemia;7 days,28 days,or 3 months of reperfusion).We also revealed that astrocytic endothelin-1 overexpression contributed to the role of neural stem cell proliferation but impaired neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus after middle cerebral artery *** proteome profiles and western blot analysis confirmed that levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein and peroxiredoxin 6,which were differentially expressed in the brain,were significantly increased in mice with astrocytic endothelin-1 overexpression in comparison with wild-type mice 28 days after ischemic ***,the levels of the enriched differentially expressed proteins were closely related to lipid metabolism,as indicated by Kyoto Encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway *** chromatography-mass spectrometry nontargeted metabolite profiling of brain tissues showed that astrocytic endothelin-1 overexpression altered lipid metabolism products such as glycerol phosphatidylcholine,sphingomyelin,and phosphatidic ***,this study demonstrates that astrocytic endothelin-1 overexpression can impair hippocampal neurogenesis and that it is correlated with lipid metabolism in poststroke cognitive dysfunction.

The current landscape of chiral covalent organic frameworks(COFs)predominantly centered on constructing asymmetric molecular-scale chirality,often introducing an inherent contradiction to the COF symmetry and limiting ***,we overcome these challenges by achieving chiral transfer between one-dimensional(1D)imine linear polymers(LPs)and two-dimensional(2D)networkβ-ketoenamine COFs composed of achiral *** successfully synthesize several 1D imine LPs with mesoscopic helical chirality,comprising achiral C2-symmetric terephthalaldehyde and diamine linkers in a chiral supramolecular transcription *** the irreversible tautomerism mechanism within the linker replacement approach,terephthalaldehyde(TPA)units in these helical 1D LPs are substituted with C3-symmetric 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(TP),yielding the corresponding 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** and helicity of the resultantβ-ketoenamine COFs intimately hinge on reaction conditions,including the aldehyde stoichiometry of Tp and TPA,as well as the quantity and concentration of the catalyst *** optimized conditions,the nucleation and growth were precisely governed,achieving a harmonious equilibrium of crystallinity and helicity within the generated 2D networkβ-ketoenamine COFs,even with covalent bond rupture,recombination,and topological transition(from[C2+C2]to[C3+C2]).Impressively,the ground state chirality inherent to helical 1D LPs seamlessly transfers to helical 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** study not only offers new perspectives on the development of chiral functional COFs,but also provides fresh insights into the precise control of COFs'microscopic morphology.

Summer precipitation in the Three Rivers Source Region(TRSR)of China is vital for the headwaters of the Yellow,Yangtze,and Lancang rivers and exhibits significant interdecadal *** study investigates the influence of the East Asian westerly jet(EAWJ)on TRSR rainfall.A strong correlation is found between TRSR summer precipitation and the Jet Zonal Position Index(JZPI)of the EAWJ from 1961 to 2019(R=0.619,pg periods when a positive JZPI indicates a westward shift in the EAWJ,enhanced water vapor anomalies,warmer air,and low-level convergence anomalies contribute to increased TRSR summer *** empirical orthogonal function and regression analyses,this research identifies the influence of large-scale circulation anomalies associated with the Atlantic–Eurasian teleconnection(AEA)from the North Atlantic(NA).The interdecadal variability between the NA and central tropical Pacific(CTP)significantly affects TRSR *** influence is mediated through the AEA via a Rossby wave train extending eastward along the EAWJ,and another south of 45°***,the NA–CTP Opposite Phase Index(OPI),which quantifies the difference between the summer mean sea surface temperatures of the NA and the CTP,is identified as a critical factor in modulating the strength of this teleconnection and influencing the zonal position of the EAWJ.

Objective: To validate the effectiveness of a Family-Centered Empowerment Model (FCEM) health education through WeChat on medication compliance and blood pressure among elderly hypertensive patients in rural areas. Methods: One hundred and two rural elderly hypertensive patients aged 65-80 years were selected and randomly divided into an experimental and control group of 51 each. The control group implemented conventional health education, and the experimental group implemented FCEM health education through WeChat platform for 4 consecutive weeks. The Therapeutic Adherence Scale for Hypertensive Patients (TASHP) scores and blood pressure measurements were compared between and within the two groups. Results: After the intervention, there were significant differences in medication compliance and blood pressure between the two groups (P group, before and after the intervention, there was a significant difference in medication compliance (P gnificant difference in blood pressure (P > 0.05). In the experimental group, there were significant differences in medication compliance and blood pressure before and after the intervention (P gh an online social platform significantly improved medication compliance and led to effective blood pressure control in rural elderly hypertensive patients. Therefore, as an effective, safe, and economical model, it is also necessary to explore its effectiveness in improving health problems in other chronic diseases and other age groups.
