Impact of body mass index,weight gain,and metabolic disorders on survival and prognosis in patients with breast cancer who underwent chemotherapy

Background: Weight gain during chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer contributes to their poor prognosis. However, a growing number of studies have found that metabolic disorders seem to play a more important role in breast cancer prognosis than weight gain. This study aimed to explore the prognostic effects of body mass index (BMI), weight gain, and metabolic disorders on the overall survival (OS) and prognosis of patients with breast cancer who underwent ***: Data from the inpatient medical records of patients with breast cancer who underwent chemotherapy at the Beijing Cancer Hospital Breast Cancer Center from January to December 2010 were retrospectively collected, and the patients were followed up until August ***: A total of 438 patients with stages I to III breast cancer met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Forty-nine (11.19%) patients died, while 82 (18.72%) patients had tumor recurrence and metastasis at the last follow-up (August 2020). From the time of diagnosis until after chemotherapy, no significant differences were observed in the body weight (t=4.694,Phe BMI categories and weight change had no effect on the OS. Both univariate (χ^(2)=6.771,P=0.009) and multivariate survival analyses (hazard ratio=2.775, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.326-5.807,P=0.007) showed that low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels at diagnosis had a negative impact on the OS. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the HDL-C level at diagnosis (odds ratio [OR]=2.200, 95% CI: 0.996-4.859,P=0.051) and metabolic disorders after chemotherapy (OR=1.514, 95% CI: 1.047-2.189,P=0.028) are risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with breast ***: Chemotherapy led to weight gain and aggravated the metabolic disorders in patients with breast cancer. Early prediction of pathological outcomes to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients using automated breast ultrasound

Objective： Early assessment of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy （NAC） for breast cancer allows therapy to be individualized. The optimal assessment method has not been established. We investigated the accuracy of automated breast ultrasound （ABUS） to predict pathological outcomes after NAC. Methods： A total of 290 breast cancer patients were eligible for this study. Tumor response after 2 cycles of chemotherapy was assessed using the product change of two largest perpendicular diameters （PC） or the longest diameter change （LDC）. PC and LDC were analyzed on the axial and the coronal planes respectively. Receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves were used to evaluate overall performance of the prediction methods. Youden＇s indexes were calculated to select the optimal cut-off value for each method. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values （PPV and NPV） and the area under the ROC curve （AUC） were calculated ***： ypT0/is was achieved in 42 patients （14.5%） while ypT0 was achieved in 30 patients （10.3%） after NAC. All four prediction methods （PC on axial planes, LDC on axial planes, PC on coronal planes and LDC on coronal planes） displayed high AUCs （all〉0.82）, with the highest of 0.89 [95% confidence interval （95% CI）, 0.83-0.95] when mid-treatment ＆BUS was used to predict final pathological complete remission （pCR）. High sensitivities （85.7%-88.1%） were observed across all four prediction methods while high specificities （81.5%-85.1%） were observed in two methods used PC. The optimal cut-off values defined by our data replicate the WHO and the RECIST criteria. Lower AUCs were observed when mid-treatment ABUS was used to predict poor pathological outcomes. Conclusions：ABUS is a useful tool in early evaluation of pCR after NAC while less reliable when predicting poor pathological outcomes.

Value of pre-treatment biomarkers in prediction of response to neoadjuvant endocrine therapy for hormone receptor-positive postmenopausal breast cancer

Objective： To determine the predictive ability of biomarkers for responses to neoadjuvant endocrine therapy （NET） in postmenopausal breast cancer. Methods： Consecutive 160 postmenopausal women with T 1-3 N 0-1 M 0 hormone receptor （HR）-positive invasive breast cancer were treated with anastrozole for 16 weeks before surgery. New slides of tumor specimens taken before and after treatment were conducted centrally for biomarker analysis and classified using the Applied Imaging Ariol MB-8 system. The pathological response was evaluated using the Miller ＆ Payne classification. The cell cycle response was classified according to the change in the Ki67 index after treatment. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to calculate the combined index of the biomarkers. Receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves were used to determine whether parameters may predict response. Results： The correlation between the pathological and cell cycle responses was low （Spearman correlation coefficient =0.241, P〈0.001; Kappa value =0.119, P=0.032）. The cell cycle response was significantly associated with pre-treatment estrogen receptor （ER） status （P=0.001）, progesterone receptor （PgR） status （P〈0.001）, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 （her-2） status （P=0.050） and the Ki67 index （P〈0.001）, but the pathological response was not correlated with these factors. Pre-treatment ER levels [area under the curve （AUC） =0.634, 95% confidence interval （95% CI）, 0.534-0.735, P=0.008] and combined index of pre-treatment ER and PgR levels （AUC =0.684, 95% CI, 0.591-0.776, P〈0.001） could not predict the cell cycle response, but combined index including per-treatment ER/PR/her-2/Ki67 expression levels could （AUC =0.830, 95% CI, 0.759-0.902, P〈0.001）. Conclusions： The combined use of pre-treatment ER/PgR/her-2/Ki67 expression levels, instead of HR expression levels, may predict the cell cycle response to NET.

A review on covalent organic frameworks for rechargeable zinc-ion batteries

In recent years,rechargeable zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)are considered to be a promising alternative to lithium-ion batteries owing to their high safety and theoretical capacity with low ***,the in-depth development of rechargeable zinc-ion batteries is restricted by a sequence of issues,such as the dissolution and structure collapse of cathode materials,the formation of by-products,severe anode corrosion,passivation,and the growth of zinc *** covalent organic frameworks(COFs)can solve the above problems to a certain extent owing to their ideal characteristics,such as rigid structure,insolubility,high porosity,and abundant active ***,as advanced materials for ZIBs,have attracted researchers'*** this review,we systematically summarized the synthesis methods of COFs and discussed the application of several advanced characterization technologies in COFs,which would provide a reference for the in-depth research of *** addition,we elucidated the use of COFs as cathode materials and anode protective layers in rechargeable ***,we discussed the challenges and solutions in the development of COF materials,which would provide constructive insights into the future direction of COFs.

EmotionIC: emotional inertia and contagion-driven dependency modeling for emotion recognition in conversation

Emotion recognition in conversation(ERC) has attracted growing attention in recent years as a result of the advancement and implementation of human-computer interface technologies. In this paper,we propose an emotional inertia and contagion-driven dependency modeling approach(EmotionIC) for ERC tasks. Our EmotionIC consists of three main components, i.e., identity masked multi-head attention(IMMHA), dialogue-based gated recurrent unit(DiaGRU), and skip-chain conditional random field(SkipCRF).Compared to previous ERC models, EmotionIC can model a conversation more thoroughly at both the feature-extraction and classification levels. The proposed model attempts to integrate the advantages of attention-and recurrence-based methods at the feature-extraction level. Specifically, IMMHA is applied to capture identity-based global contextual dependencies, while Dia GRU is utilized to extract speaker-and temporal-aware local contextual information. At the classification level, SkipCRF can explicitly mine complex emotional flows from higher-order neighboring utterances in the conversation. Experimental results show that our method can significantly outperform the state-of-the-art models on four benchmark *** ablation studies confirm that our modules can effectively model emotional inertia and contagion.

GS-orthogonalization OMP method for space target detection via bistatic space-based radar

A space-based bistatic radar system composed of two space-based radars as the transmitter and the receiver respectively has a wider surveillance region and a better early warning capability for high-speed targets,and it can detect focused space targets more flexibly than the monostatic radar system or the ground-based radar ***,the target echo signal is more difficult to process due to the high-speed motion of both space-based radars and space *** be specific,it will encounter the problems of Range Cell Migration(RCM)and Doppler Frequency Migration(DFM),which degrade the long-time coherent integration performance for target detection and localization *** solve this problem,a novel target detection method based on an improved Gram Schmidt(GS)-orthogonalization Orthogonal Matching Pursuit(OMP)algorithm is proposed in this ***,the echo model for bistatic space-based radar is constructed and the conditions for RCM and DFM are ***,the proposed GS-orthogonalization OMP method is applied to estimate the equivalent motion parameters of space ***,the RCM and DFM are corrected by the compensation function correlated with the estimated motion ***,coherent integration can be achieved by performing the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)operation along the slow time direction on compensated echo *** simulations and real raw data results validate that the proposed GS-orthogonalization OMP algorithm achieves better motion parameter estimation performance and higher detection probability for space targets detection.

目的回顾性分析阳性前哨淋巴结≤2枚乳腺癌非前哨淋巴结状态相关的因素,探索预测其非前哨淋巴结（NSLN）状态的可能性.方法采用北京肿瘤医院乳腺癌预防治疗中心数据库资料,分析2005年7月至2012年2月期间,阳性前哨淋巴结≤2枚并完成腋窝淋巴结清扫且排除SLNB后新辅助化疗不足4轮或行新辅助内分泌治疗的乳腺癌病例资料,分析其非前哨淋巴结状态影响因素.结果 455例患者病历资料纳入分析,单因素分析有统计学意义或接近有统计学意义的因素有前哨淋巴结（SLN）（＋）/SLN比值（P =0.001）,组织学分级（P =0.075）,肿物大小（P=0.023）以及发病年龄（P =0.074）;多因素Logistic回归分析得出SLN（＋）/SLN比值（OR0.502 95％ CI0.322～0.7844）和组织学分级（组织学分级Ⅱ、Ⅲ级及其他类型比较组织学分级Ⅰ级的OR值分别为2.696,2.102,3.662）是NSLN的独立影响因素.ROC曲线下面积为0.62（0.56,0.68）,预测NSLN效果不佳.结论对于阳性前哨淋巴结≤2的乳腺癌,SLN（＋）/SLN比值及病理组织学分级是NSLN状态的独立影响因素,但预测NSLN结果效果不佳.
