Hydrate formation and dissociation processes are always accompanied by water migration in porous media, which is similar to the ice. In our study, a novel pF-meter sensor which could detect the changes of water content inside sand was first applied to hydrate formation and dissociation processes. It also can study the water change characteristics in the core scale of a partially saturated silica sand sample and compare the differences of water changes between the processes of formation and dissociation of methane hydrate and freezing and thawing of ice. The experimental results showed that the water changes in the processes of formation and dissociation of methane hydrate were basically similar to that of the freezing and thawing of ice in sand. When methane hydrate or ice was formed, water changes showed the decrease in water content on the whole and the pF values rose following the formation processes. However, there were very obvious differences between the ice thawing and hydrate dissociation.

Increasing scale leaves a challenging problem for visualizing large attributed networks. This paper proposes a details on demand approach for exploratory visual analysis on large attributed networks. Ma jor structures are located and emphasized at each level, providing clues for user observation. The detailed subnet structure emerges gradually through the exploration *** method dynamically aggregates network with consideration of both structural and attribute properties. It allows a flexible control of the hierarchy structure. A userspecified interaction strategy is introduced to enable users to customize the analysis flow according to different analytic tasks. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed method is effective in extracting global knowledge, locating ma jor structures, and discovering hidden information in networks.

In the absence of formal risk management strategies,agricultural production in China is highly vulnerable to climate *** this study,field experiments were conducted with 344 households in Heilongjiang(Northeast China)and Jiangsu(East China)*** and logistic models and independent sample T-test were used to explore farmers’demand for weather index insurance,in contrast to informal risk management strategies,and the main factors that affect *** results show that the farmers prefer weather index insurance to informal risk management strategies,and farmers’characteristics have significant impacts on their adoption of risk management *** variables non-agricultural labor ratio,farmers’risk perception,education,and agricultural insurance purchase experience significantly affect farmers’weather index insurance *** regression results show that the farmers’weather index insurance demand and the influencing factors in the two provinces are *** in Heilongjiang Province have a higher participation rate than those in Jiangsu *** government should conduct more weather index insurance pilot programs to help farmers understand the mechanism,and insurance companies should provide more types of weather index insurance to meet farmers’diversified needs.

Mercury(Hg)is one of the most dangerous contaminants and has sparked global concern since it poses a health risk to humans when consumed through ***(S)is a crucial component for plant growth,and S may reduce Hg accumulation in rice ***,the detailed effects of S and the mechanisms underlying S-mediated responses in Hg-stressed rice plants remain ***,to investigate the effects of S addition on rice growth,Hg accumulation,physiological indexes,and gene expression profiles,rice seedlings were hydroponically treated with Hg(20μmol/L Hg Cl_(2))and Hg plus elemental sulfur(100 mg/L).S application significantly reduced Hg accumulation in Hg-stressed rice roots and alleviated the inhibitory effects of Hg on rice growth.S addition significantly reduced Hg-induced reactive oxygen species generation,membrane lipid peroxidation levels,and activities of antioxidant enzymes while increasing glutathione content in *** analysis of roots identified 3,411,2,730,and 581 differentially expressed genes in the control(CK)***,CK ***+S,and Hg ***+S datasets,*** pathway of S-mediated biological metabolism fell into six groups:biosynthesis and metabolism,expression regulation,transport,stimulus response,oxidation reduction,and cell wall *** majority of biological process-related genes were upregulated under Hg stress compared with CK treatment,but downregulated in the Hg+S *** results provide transcriptomic and physiological evidence that S may be critical for plant Hg stress resistance and will help to develop strategies for reduction or phytoremediation of Hg contamination.

Contrastive self‐supervised representation learning on attributed graph networks with Graph Neural Networks has attracted considerable research interest ***,there are still two ***,most of the real‐word system are multiple relations,where entities are linked by different types of relations,and each relation is a view of the graph ***,the rich multi‐scale information(structure‐level and feature‐level)of the graph network can be seen as self‐supervised signals,which are not fully exploited.A novel contrastive self‐supervised representation learning framework on attributed multiplex graph networks with multi‐scale(named CoLM^(2)S)information is presented in this *** mainly contains two components:intra‐relation contrast learning and interrelation contrastive ***,the contrastive self‐supervised representation learning framework on attributed single‐layer graph networks with multi‐scale information(CoLMS)framework with the graph convolutional network as encoder to capture the intra‐relation information with multi‐scale structure‐level and feature‐level selfsupervised signals is introduced *** structure‐level information includes the edge structure and sub‐graph structure,and the feature‐level information represents the output of different graph convolutional ***,according to the consensus assumption among inter‐relations,the CoLM^(2)S framework is proposed to jointly learn various graph relations in attributed multiplex graph network to achieve global consensus node *** proposed method can fully distil the graph *** experiments on unsupervised node clustering and graph visualisation tasks demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods,and it outperforms existing competitive baselines.

Economic Structure Transformation and Land Use Change of the Changjiang River Basin

Land, as a key factor of production, is an appropriate indicator of national and regional economic structure transformation. Land use in the Changjiang （Yangtze） River Basin （CRB） since the 1950s has experienced these changes. Industrialization has been the most powerful force of the change in the regional development of the CRB. Virtually all regional resources were put into this effort to modernize the industrial production and urban construction systems of the CRB whose industrialization and urbanization has been a success story, with impressive structural change in both production and land use. These changes are evident ih modem urban areas, but even more in traditionally rural areas. The regression analysis of regional development in the CRB over an extended period shows that the dominant factor in regional land use change is widespread industrialization in rural areas rather than the expansion of urban area. Thus, urbanization has had a limited influence on land use change in the CRB. A major task in realizing more sustainable land use in the future development of CRB is to relocate industrial activities from rural to urban areas.

Effect of rapidly depressurizing and rising temperature on methane hydrate dissociation

Two methods, rapidly depressurizing to 0.1 MPa at a constant temperature and rising temperature under equilibrium P, T conditions, were used to study the dissociation of pure CH4 hydrate formed below the ice point. At a constant temperature with rapidly depressurizing to 0.1 MPa, CH4 hydrate dissociated rapidly at initial dissociation and then the dissociation rate gradually decreased. However, the dissociation of CH4 hydrate at temperatures of 261 to 266 K was much faster than that at temperatures of 269 to 272 K, indicating its anomalous preservation. Under an equilibrium P, T conditions, rising temperature had extensively controlling impact on dissociation of CH4 hydrate at equilibrium pressures of 2.31, 2.16 and 1.96 MPa. In this study, we report the effect of pressure on CH4 hydrate dissociation, especially the effect of equilibrium pressure on dissociation at various melting temperatures. And we find that the ice particles size of CH4 hydrate formed may dominant the CH4 hydrate dissociation. Dissociation of CH4 hydrate formed from ice particles of smaller than 250 μm may not have an anomalous preservation below the ice point, while particles larger than 250 μm may have more extensive anomalous preservation.

Aiming at the anti-eavesdrop security demand and potential safety hazard in Ad hoc, a secure random linear network coding algorithm was proposed. The algorithm has secure source coding and protecting the coding vectors. The information source secure coding method and optimizing the finite region is defined to guarantee that the information is properly protected. Different coding vectors protecting schemes were designed for adapting security path and without. We applied the secure random linear network coding algorithm in Ad Hoc Networks to meet the demand on anti-eavesdrop. The anti-eavesdrop algorithm based on network coding is simulated and analyzed in NS2 platform, the results shown that comparing with the encryption algorithm, the anti-eavesdrop algorithm based on network coding has better performance in end-to-end delay and encryption speed.

Impacts of de-icing salt pollution on urban road greenspace： a case study of Beijing

De-icing salt contamination of urban soil and greenspace has been a common issue of concern in many countries for years. In the 2009/2010 winter, Beijing experienced a contamination accident resulting from the overuse of deicing salt, reported as almost 30000 tons, which severely damaged urban vegetation alongside roadways. The methods of sampling and rating for both soil contamination and response of the plant populations were developed to rapidly assess this emergency environmental event. Results showed that the shrubs were more severely damaged than the arbors in terms of both degree and extent, as almost all of the surveyed shrubs were severely damaged from the salt contamination, while only about 1/4 of the recorded arbors were rated as ＂severely injured＂ according to the integral plant injury index. The rating of the injury level showed that the trees like Pinus bungeana, Sophora japonica, and the shrubs like Euonymus japonicus, Sabina vulgaris showed less tolerance to de-icing salt pollution. The patterns of vegetation damage demonstrated that the ever-green shrubs alongside roads and the deciduous arbors in the center of roads were most vulnerable to the salt damage.

Improved Harris Hawks Algorithm and Its Application in Feature Selection

This research focuses on improving the Harris’Hawks Optimization algorithm(HHO)by tackling several of its shortcomings,including insufficient population diversity,an imbalance in exploration ***,and a lack of thorough exploitation *** tackle these shortcomings,it proposes enhancements from three distinct perspectives:an initialization technique for populations grounded in opposition-based learning,a strategy for updating escape energy factors to improve the equilibrium between exploitation and exploration,and a comprehensive exploitation approach that utilizes variable neighborhood search along with mutation *** effectiveness of the Improved Harris Hawks Optimization algorithm(IHHO)is assessed by comparing it to five leading algorithms across 23 benchmark test *** findings indicate that the IHHO surpasses several contemporary algorithms its problem-solving ***,this paper introduces a feature selection method leveraging the IHHO algorithm(IHHO-FS)to address challenges such as low efficiency in feature selection and high computational costs(time to find the optimal feature combination and model response time)associated with high-dimensional *** analyses between IHHO-FS and six other advanced feature selection methods are conducted across eight *** results demonstrate that IHHO-FS significantly reduces the computational costs associated with classification models by lowering data dimensionality,while also enhancing the efficiency of feature ***,IHHO-FS shows strong competitiveness relative to numerous algorithms.
