OBJECTIVES To evaluate the predictive value of fasting plasma glucose(FPG)for in-hospital mortality in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)with different glucose metabolism *** We selected 5,308 participants with AMI from the prospective,nationwide,multicenter CAMI registry,of which 2,081 were diabetic and 3,227 were *** were divided into high FPG and low FPG groups according to the optim-al cutoff values of FPG to predict in-hospital mortality for diabetic and nondiabetic cohorts,*** primary endpoint was in-hospital *** Overall,94 diabetic patients(4.5%)and 131 nondiabetic patients(4.1%)died during hospitalization,and the optimal FPG thresholds for predicting in-hospital death of the two cohorts were 13.2 mmol/L and 6.4 mmol/L,*** with individuals who had low FPG,those with high FPG were significantly associated with higher in-hospital mortality in diabet-ic cohort(10.1%vs.2.8%;odds ratio[OR]=3.862,95%confidence interval[CI]:2.542-5.869)and nondiabetic cohort(7.4%vs.1.7%;HR=4.542,95%CI:3.041-6.782).After adjusting the potential confounders,this significant association was not ***-more,FPG as a continuous variable was positively associated with in-hospital mortality in single-variable and multivariable models regardless of diabetic *** FPG to the original model showed a significant improvement in C-statistic and net reclassification in diabetic and nondiabetic *** This large-scale registry indicated that there is a strong positive association between FPG and in-hospital mor-tality in AMI patients with and without *** might be useful to stratify patients with AMI.

This paper investigates the effect of blending dimethyl ether(DME)and ethanol on the soot transition periods in ethylene counterflow diffusion flames by using a novel optical diagnostic *** soot critical transition point in different conditions is identified experimentally and *** kinds of flames are carried out to gain the soot critical transition point in counterflow diffusion flames by changing oxygen fraction(Xo)and changing volume flow rates of fuel and oxidizer(Qv).The red-green-blue(RGB)ratio method is used to precisely identify the soot critical transition point,and chemical kinetic simulations are performed to analyze the detailed reaction *** results show that compared to the ethylene flame,the soot critical transition point occurs at a higher Xoand a lower Qvwhen DME or ethanol is *** addition of DME and ethanol can inhibit soot formation,due to the degree of soot formation reaction being lower than the degree of the oxidation reaction in the blending flames.

Analytical computation of magnetic field in coil-dominated superconducting quadrupole magnets based on racetrack coils

Currently,three types of superconducting quadrupole magnets are used in particle accelerators:cos 2θ,CCT,and ***,all three coil configurations have complex spatial geometries,which make magnet manufacturing and strain-sensitive superconductor applications *** with the three existing quadrupole coils,the racetrack quadrupole coil has a simple shape and manufacturing process,but there have been few theoretical *** this paper,the two-dimensional and three-dimensional analytical expressions for the magnetic field in coil-dominated racetrack superconducting quadrupole magnets are *** analytical expressions of the field harmonics and gradient are fully resolved and depend only on the geometric parameters of the coil and current ***,a genetic algorithm is applied to obtain a solution for the coil geometry parameters with field harmonics on the order of 10^(-4).Finally,considering the practical engineering needs of the accelerator interaction region,electromagnetic design examples of racetrack quadrupole magnets with high gradients,large apertures,and small apertures are described,and the application prospects of racetrack quadrupole coils are analyzed.

Shuxuening Injection Inhibits Apoptosis and Reduces Myocardial Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Rats through PI3K/AKT Pathway

Objective: To investigate the main components and potential mechanism of Shuxuening Injection(SXNI) in the treatment of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(MIRI) through network pharmacology and in vivo research. Methods: The Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology(TCMSP) and Pharm Mapper databases were used to extract and evaluate the effective components of Ginkgo biloba leaves, the main component of SXNI. The Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM) and Gene Cards databases were searched for disease targets and obtain the drug target and disease target intersections. The active ingredient-target network was built using Cytoscape 3.9.1 software. The STRING database, Metascape online platform, and R language were used to obtain the key targets and signaling pathways of the anti-MIRI effects of SXNI. In order to verify the therapeutic effect of different concentrations of SXNI on MIRI in rats, 60 rats were first divided into 5 groups according to random number table method: the sham operation group, the model group, SXNI low-dose(3.68 mg/kg), medium-dose(7.35 mg/kg), and high-dose(14.7 mg/kg) groups, with 12 rats in each group. Then, another 60 rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: the sham operation group, the model group, SXNI group(14.7 mg/kg), SXNI+LY294002 group,and LY294002 group, with 12 rats in each group. The drug was then administered intraperitoneally at body weight for 14 days. The main biological processes were validated using in vivo testing. Evans blue/triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC) double staining, hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase d UTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) assay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), and Western blot analysis were used to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of SXNI in MIRI rats. Highly reversible Zn anode enabled by anticatalytic carbon layer with suppressed hydrogen evolution

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） have emerged as a promising high-efficiency energy storage system due to the high energy density,low-cost and environmental ***,the practical application of AZIBs is severely restricted by the challenges faced by the Zn anode,which include uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion and hydrogen evolution ***,a simple and convenient physical vapor deposition（PVD）method is reported for fabricating uniform graphite as a protection layer on the surface of Zn *** high conductivity graphite layer on Zn anode（denoted as Zn@C） not only benefits the uniform distribution of the electric field,but also provides numerous Zn nucleation sites to regulate and navigate Zn-ion stripping/plating ***,the graphite layer with a poor catalytic activity endows the Zn@C anode with a highly suppressed hydrogen ***,a hydrogen and dendrite free anode is achieved with artificial anticatalytic carbon layer on Zn anode,exhibiting a high reversibility and excellent cycling stability over 2600 h at the current density of 5 mA·cm-2with a capacity of 2.5 mAh·cm-2and longtime cycling stability for assembled full *** work strategically designs the properties of the artificial interface layer to effectively address various challenges simultaneously,which presents insights for the future development of high-performance rechargeable AZIBs.

Vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy(V-PDT)is an effective treatment for port wine stains(PWS).However,repeated treatment is usually needed to achieve optimal treatment outcomes,possibly due to the limited treatment light penetration depth in the PWS *** optical clearing technique can increase light penetration in depth by reducing light *** study aimed to investigate the V-PDT in combination with an optical clearing agent(OCA)for the therapeutic enhancement of V-PDT in the rodent skinfold window chamber *** responses were closely monitored with laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI),optical coherence tomography angiography,and stereo microscope before,during,and after the *** further quantitatively demonstrated the effects of V-PDT in combination with OCA on the blood flow and blood vessel size of skin *** combination of OCA and V-PDT resulted in significant vascular damage,including vasoconstriction and the reduction of blood *** results indicate the promising potential of OCA for enhancing V-PDT for treating vascular-related diseases,including PWS.
