In this paper, we study natural boundary reduction for Laplace equation with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary condition in a three-dimensional unbounded domain, which is the outside domain of a prolate spheroid. We express the Poisson integral formula and natural integral operator in a series form explicitly. Thus the original problem is reduced to a boundary integral equation on a prolate spheroid. The variational formula for the reduced problem and its well-posedness are discussed. Boundary element approximation for the variational problem and its error estimates, which have relation to the mesh size and the terms after the series is truncated, are also presented. Two numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and error estimates of this method.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)represent the most promising choice for meeting the ever-growing demand of society for various electric applications,such as electric transportation,portable electronics,and grid ***-rich layered oxides have largely replaced LiCoO_(2)in commercial batteries because of their low cost,high energy density,and good *** nickel-based oxide particles,usually called polycrystal materials,are composed of microsized primary ***,polycrystal particles tend to suffer from pulverization and severe side reactions along grain boundaries during *** phenomena accelerate cell ***-crystal materials,which exhibit robust mechanical strength and a high surface area,have great potential to address the challenges that hinder their polycrystal counterparts.A comprehensive understanding of the growing body of research related to single-crystal materials is imperative to improve the performance of cathodes in *** review highlights origins,recent developments,challenges,and opportunities for single-crystal layered oxide *** synthesis science behind single-crystal materials and comparative studies between single-crystal and polycrystal materials are discussed in *** techniques and facilities are also reviewed in combination with our group’s experiences in single-crystal *** development should focus on facile production with strong control of the particle size and distribution,structural defects,and impurities to fully reap the benefits of single-crystal materials.

A nonlinear method named detrended fluctuation analysis （DFA） was utilized to investigate the scaling behavior of the human electroencephalogram （EEG） in three emotional music conditions （fear, happiness, sadness） and a rest condition （eyes-closed）. The results showed that the EEG exhibited scaling behavior in two regions with two scaling exponents β1 and β2 which represented the complexity of higher and lower frequency activity besides α band respectively. As the emotional intensity decreased the value of β1 increased and the value of β2 decreased. The change of β1 was weakly correlated with the ＇approach-withdrawal＇ model of emotion and both of fear and sad music made certain differences compared with the eyes-closed rest condition. The study shows that music is a powerful elicitor of emotion and that using nonlinear method can potentially contribute to the investigation of emotion.

High-nickel single-crystal layered oxide material has become the most promising cathode material for electric vehicle power battery due to its high energy ***,this material still suffers from structural degradation during cycling and especially the severe interfacial reactions at elevated temperatures that exacerbate irreversible capacity ***,a simple strategy was used to construct a dualfunction Li_(1.5)Al_(0.5)Ge_(1.5)P_(3)O_(12)(LAGP)protective layer on the surface of the high-nickel single-crystal(SC)cathode material,leading to SC@LAGP *** strong Al-O bonding effectively inhibits the release of lattice oxygen(O)at elevated temperatures,which is supported by the positive formation energy of O vacancy from first-principal ***,theoretical calculations demonstrate that the appropriate amount of Al doping accelerates the electron and Li^(+)transport,and thus reduces the kinetic *** addition,the LAGP protective layer alleviates the stress accumulation during cycling and effectively reduces the erosion of materials from the electrolyte decomposition at elevated *** obtained SC@LAGP cathode material demonstrates much enhanced cycling stability even at high voltage(4.6 V)and elevated temperature(55℃),with a high capacity retention of 91.3%after 100 *** work reports a simple dual-function coating strategy that simultaneously stabilizes the structure and interface of the single-crystal cathode material,which can be applied to design other cathode materials.

Ion exchange is a promising synthetic method for alleviating severe cation mixing in traditional layered oxide materials for lithium-ion batteries,leading to enhanced structural ***,the underlying mechanisms of ion exchange are still not fully *** a fundamental study of the ion-exchange mechanism is needed for achieving the controllable synthesis of layered oxides with a stable ***,we thoroughly unearth the underlying mechanism that triggers the ion exchange of Ni-rich materials in aqueous solutions by examining time-resolved structural evolution combined with theoretical *** results reveal that the reaction pathway of ion exchange can be divided into two steps:protonation and *** proton is the key to achieving charge balance in the ion exchange process,as revealed by X-ray adsorption spectroscopy and inductive coupled plasma *** addition,the intermediate product shows high lattice distortion during ion exchange,but it ends up with a most stable product with high lattice *** apparent discrepancies in lattice energy between materials before and after ion exchange emphasize the importance of synthetic design in structural *** work provides new insights into the ion-exchange synthesis of Ni-rich oxide materials,which advances the development of cathode materials for high-performance lithium-ion batteries.

BACKGROUND Autologous fat injection in facial reconstruction is a common cosmetic *** cerebral fat embolism(CFE)as a complication is rare,it carries serious health *** SUMMARY We present a case of a 29-year-old female patient who developed acute CFE following facial fat filling *** the surgery,the patient experienced symptoms including headache,nausea,vomiting,and difficulty breathing,which was followed by neurological symptoms such as slurred speech and left-sided *** physical examination and auxiliary investigations,including blood tests,head and neck computed tomography angiography,and cranial magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging,were performed upon *** clinical diagnosis was acute cerebral embolism following facial fat filling *** included measures to improve cerebral circulation,dehydration for intracranial pressure reduction,nutritional support,and rehabilitation therapy for left limb *** patient showed a significant improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks of *** recovered left limb muscle strength to grade 5,had clear speech,and experienced complete relief of *** Our case highlights the potential occurrence of severe complications in patients undergoing fat injection in facial *** prevent these complications,plastic surgeons should enhance their professional knowledge and skills.

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

Adipogenesis is the healthy expansion of white adipose tissue (WAT),serving as a compensatory response to maintain metabolic homeostasis in the presence of excess energy in the ***,the identification of novel regulatory molecules in adipogenesis,specifically membrane receptors such as G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs),holds significant clinical *** receptors can serve as viable targets for pharmaceuticals,offering potential for restoring metabolic homeostasis in individuals with *** utilized trajectory inference methods to analyze three distinct single-nucleus sequencing (sNuc-seq) datasets of adipose tissue and systematically identified GPCRs with the potential to regulate *** verification in primary adipose progenitor cells (APCs) of mice,we discovered that ADGRD1 promoted the differentiation of APCs,while GPR39 inhibits this *** the obese mouse model induced by a high-fat diet(HFD),both gain-of-function and loss-of-function studies validated that ADGRD1 promoted adipogenesis,thereby improving metabolic homeostasis,while GPR39 inhibited adipogenesis,leading to metabolic ***,through the analysis of 2,400 ChIP-seq data and 1,204 bulk RNA-seq data,we found that the transcription factors (TFs) MEF2D and TCF12 regulated the expression of ADGRD1and GPR39,*** study revealed the regulatory role of GPCRs in adipogenesis,providing novel targets for clinical intervention of metabolic dysfunction in obese patients.
