Clinical analysis of colistin sulfate in the treatment of pneumonia caused by carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria

BACKGROUND Multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria,exacerbated by excessive use of antimicrobials and immunosuppressants,are a major health *** To study the clinical efficacy and safety of colistin sulfate in the treatment of carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacilli-induced pneumonia,and to provide theoretical reference for clinical diagnosis and *** This retrospective analysis involved 54 patients with Gram-negative bacilli pneumonia admitted to intensive care unit of The General Hospital of the Northern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China from August 2020 to June *** bacteriological culture,the patients'airway secretions were collected to confirm the presence of Gram-negative *** patients were divided into the experimental and control groups according to the medication *** research group consisted of 28 patients who received polymyxin sulfate combined with other drugs through intravenous,nebulization,or intravenous combined with nebulization,with a daily dosage of 1.5–3.0 million *** control group consisted of 26 patients who received standard dosages of other antibiotics(including sulbactam sodium for injection,cefoperazone sodium sulbactam for injection,tigecycline,meropenem,or vaborbactam).RESULTS Of the 28 patients included in the research group,26 patients showed improvement,treatment was ineffective for two patients,and one patient died,with the treatment efficacy rate of 92.82%.Of the 26 patients in the control group,18 patients improved,treatment was ineffective for eight patients,and two patients died,with the treatment efficacy rate of 54.9%;significant difference was observed between the two groups(P<0.05).The levels of white blood cell(WBC),procalcitonin(PCT),and C-reactive protein(CRP)in both groups were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of WBC,PCT,and CRP in the research group were significantly lower than those in the control group

Robust microporous metal-organic framework with high moisture tolerance for efficient separation of propylene from propane

Adsorptive separation of propylene(C_(3)H_(6))from propylene/propane(C_(3)H_(8))is desired to replace energy-intensive cryogenic distillation for its energy efficiency,economical viability,and environment *** this work,we report a cupper-based robust microporous metal-organic framework,Cu-Hmpba,constructed by the hard soft acid-base principle using the bifunctional pyridylcarboxylate ligand featuring methyl group,for high-efficient separation of the propylene/propane *** the synergistic effect of the protective group and hard soft acid base principle,Cu-Hmpba possesses good solvents stability,especially water ***-Hmpba exhibits the adsorption capacity of C_(3)H_(6)with 2.10 mmol g^(-1)and good equimolar C_(3)H_(6)/C_(3)H_(8)selectivity with 2.24 at ambient *** gas adsorption experiments,IAST selectivity calculations and theoretical calculations comprehensively support the selective adsorption toward C_(3)H_(6)among C_(3)H_(6)/C_(3)H_(8)***,it could maintain stable under moisture environment,suggesting its potential for the industrial separation of C_(3)H_(6)/C_(3)H_(8)*** results of experiments and simulations demonstrate that the Cu-Hmpba would be a candidate adsorbent for the separation and purification of light hydrocarbons,and this work provides the insight of syn-thesizing stable MOF materials for separating high-value chemicals.

Crystalline-State Solvent:Metal-Organic Frameworks as a Platform for Intercepting Aggregation-Caused Quenching

The sequestration of organic luminescent molecules(OLMs)within cage-based metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)as a dispersion platform has been developed to impede aggregation-caused quenching(ACQ).The homogenous encapsulation of distinct luminescent guests of different sizes and emissive behaviors in the cage structure of a MOF resulted in high fluorescent quantum yields of 44.8%for DAPI@NKU-110(DAPI=4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole),65.4%for TPPA@NKU-110(TPPA=tris(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)amine),31.3%for R6G@NKU-110(R6G=Rhodamine 6G),and 58.3%for PY@NKU-110(PY=Pyronin Y),attributable to the confinement effect caused by the rigid cages of *** significantly,a positive correlation of the encapsulated quantity of OLMs with their concentration in the in-situ solvothermal reaction was unveiled by spectral analysis and utilized to facilely fabricate a white-light-emitting crystal material TPPA+R6G@*** material features a large crystal size on the millimeter-scale,broadband white emission,ideal CIE coordinates(0.33,0.34),and a high quantum yield(49.1%)when excited at 365 ***,such a strategy can be easily generalized to an abundance of other cage-based MOFs and a plentiful volume of OLMs for the future development of colorful,high performance luminescent materials.

Insights into in-situ imbibition behavior of fracturing fluid in propped shale fractures based on nuclear magnetic resonance:A case study from Longmaxi Formation shale,Sichuan Basin,China

Effects of serum inflammatory factors,health index and disease activity scores on ankylosing spondylitis patients with sleep disorder

Blow-up of Smooth Solutions to the Compressible Fluid Models of Korteweg Type

We show the blow-up of smooth solutions to a non-isothermal model of capillary compressible fluids in arbitrary space dimensions with initial density of compact support. This is an extension of Xin＇s result [Xin, Z.： Blow-up of smooth solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations with compact density. Comm. Pure Appl. Math., 51, 229-240 （1998）] to the capillary case but we do not need the condition that the entropy is bounded below. Moreover, from the proof of Theorem 1.2, we also obtain the exact relationship between the size of support of the initial density and the life span of the solutions. We also present a sufficient condition on the blow-up of smooth solutions to the compressible fluid models of Korteweg type when the initial density is positive but has a decay at infinity.

Shape Optimization in Two-Dimensional Viscous Compressible Fluids

We present a method for solving the optimal shape problems for profiles surrounded by viscous compressible fluids in two space dimensions. The class of admissible profiles is quite general including the minimal volume condition and a constraint on the thickness of the boundary. The fluid flow is modelled by the Navier-Stokes system for a general viscous barotropic fluid with the pressure satisfying p（o） = aQlog^d（o） for large Q. Here d 〉 1 and a 〉 0.

Asymptotic Behaviour of Solutions to the Navier-stokes Equations of a Two-dimensional Compressible Flow

In this paper, we are concerned with the asymptotic behaviour of a weak solution to the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible barotropic flow in two space dimensions with the pressure function satisfying p（g） = aglog^d（g） for large g. Here d 〉 2, a 〉 0. We introduce useful tools from the theory of Orlicz spaces and construct a suitable function which approximates the density for time going to infinity. Using properties of this function, we can prove the strong convergence of the density to its limit state. The behaviour of the velocity field and kinetic energy is also briefly discussed.
