Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the medication rules and academic ideas of Professor Wang yu-ying in the treatment of climacteric syndrome(CLS) and to predict new prescriptions. Materials and Methods: The characteristics of frequency, clustering, four properties, and five flavors were analyzed, and new prescriptions were predicted through an artificial intelligence(AI)-based method. The potential pathways of new prescriptions were explored through network pharmacology-based analysis. Results: The top 16 medicinals used by Professor Wang yu-ying in the treatment of CLS included Danggui, Longgu, Muli, Fuling, Chuanxiong, Gancao, Xiangfu, and Tusizi. The AI method was applied to predict the basic prescription for treating CLS: Danggui 15 g, Duanlonggu 30 g, Duanmuli 30 g, Fuling 28 g, Chuanxiong 10 g, Gancao 6 g, Xiangfu 12 g, Tusizi 14 g, etc., Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses showed that the pathogenesis of CLS might be related to the estrogen pathway, involving typical steroid responses. Conclusions: This study summarized Professor Wang's medication experience in the treatment of CLS based on the data mining of clinical diagnoses and treatment cases. The AI method was used to predict the new prescription of CLS treatment, which was found to be reasonable by network pharmacology studies on its multi-target and multi-pathway mechanisms.

Surface modification by ligand growth strategy for dense copper bismuth film as photocathode to enhance hydrogen production activity

Hydrogen production from photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting has been regarded as a promising way to utilize renewable and endless solar energy.However,semiconductor film grown on photoelectrode suffers from numerous challenges,leading to the poor PEC performance.Herein,a straightforward sol-gel method with the ligand-induced growth strategy was employed to obtain dense and homogeneous copper bismuthate photocathodes for PEC hydrogen evolution reaction.By various characterizations,it was found that the nucleation and surface growth of CuBi_(2)O_(4)layer induced by 2-methoxyethanol ligand(2-CuBi_(2)O_(4))demonstrated a decent crystallinity and coverage,as well as a large grain size and a low oxygen vacancy concentration,leading to the good ability of light absorption and carrier migration.Consequently,under simulated sunlight irradiation(AM1.5G,100 mW/cm^(2)),the 2-CuBi_(2)O_(4)photocathode achieved an enhanced photocurrent density of−1.34 mA·cm^(−2)at 0.4 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode and a promising applied bias photon-to-current efficiency of 0.586%.This surface modification by ligand growth strategy will shed light on the future design of advanced photoelectrodes for PEC water splitting.

Osteosarcoma is a very serious primary bone cancer with a high death rate and a dismal prognosis.Since there is no permanent therapy for this condition,it is necessary to develop a cure.Therefore,this investigation was carried out to assess the impacts and biological functions of hydroxysafflor yellow A(HYSA)in osteosarcoma cell lines(MG63).In this investigational study,MG63 cells were utilized.Microarray experiments,quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR),immunofluorescent staining,extracellular acidification rate(ECAR),oxygen consumption rate(OCR),glucose consumption,lactate production,and ATP levels,proliferation assay,5-Ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine(EDU)staining,and Western blot were performed.In MG63 cells,HYSA lowered cell proliferation and metastasis rates,suppressed EDU cell number,and enhanced caspase-3/9 activity levels.HYSA reduced the Warburg effect and induced ferroptosis(FPT)in MG63 cells.Inhibiting ferroptosis diminished HYSA’s anti-cancer activities in MG63 cells.The stimulation of the HIF-1α/SLC7A11 pathway decreased HYSA’s anti-cancer activities in MG63 cells.HIF-1αis one target spot for HYSA in a model of osteosarcoma cancer(OC).HYSA altered HIF-1α’s thermophoretic activity;following binding with HYSA,HIF-1α’s melting point increased from~55°C to~60°C.HYSA significantly enhanced the thermal stability of exogenous WT HIF-1αwhile not affecting Mut HIF-1α,suggesting that ARG-311,GLY-312,GLN-347,and GLN-387 may be involved in the interaction between HIF-1αand HYSA.Conclusively,our study revealed that HYSA induced FPT and reduced the Warburg effect of OC through mitochondrial damage by HIF-1α/HK2/SLC7A11 pathway.HYSA is a possible therapeutic option for OC or other cancers.

With morphological features resembling hepatocellular carcinoma,hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the lung(HAL)is a rare and aggressive subtype of lung cancer with a 5-year survival of only 8%.1 Most HAL patients present increased serum alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)levels that are commonly related to poor prognosis.Most insights into HAL have come from case series or reports,and TP53 is frequently mutated in HAL.The heterogeneity of HAL complicates the diagnosis.With no established standard,the management of HAL is modeled on that of classical lung adenocarcinoma,although with dismal outcomes.2 Herein,we reported the effective management of a stage IIIb HAL patient with perioperative chemoimmunotherapy and curative-intent surgery.The patient remained disease-free and minimal residual disease(MRD)-negative for more than one year after surgery.

Cavity-enhanced single quantum dots(QDs)are the main approach towards ultra-high-performance solid-state quantum light sources for scalable photonic quantum technologies.Nevertheless,harnessing the Purcell effect requires precise spectral and spatial alignment of the QDs’emission with the cavity mode,which is challenging for most cavities.Here we have successfully integrated miniaturized Fabry-Perot microcavities with a piezoelectric actuator,and demonstrated a bright single-photon source derived from a deterministically coupled QD within this microcavity.Leveraging the cavity-membrane structures,we have achieved large spectral tunability via strain tuning.On resonance,a high Purcell factor of~9 is attained.The source delivers single photons with simultaneous high extraction efficiency of 0.58,high purity of 0.956(2)and high indistinguishability of 0.922(4).Together with its compact footprint,our scheme facilitates the scalable integration of indistinguishable quantum light sources on-chip,therefore removing a major barrier to the development of solid-state quantum information platforms based on QDs.

Vγ9Vδ2 T cells are specialized effector cells that have gained prominence as immunotherapy agents due to their ability to target and kill cells with altered pyrophosphate metabolites.In our effort to understand how cancer cells evade the cell-killing activity of Vγ9Vδ2 T cells,we performed a comprehensive genome-scale CRISPR screening of cancer cells.We found that four molecules belonging to the butyrophilin(BTN)family,specifically BTN2A1,BTN3A1,BTN3A2,and BTN3A3,are critically important and play unique,nonoverlapping roles in facilitating the destruction of cancer cells by primary Vγ9Vδ2 T cells.The coordinated function of these BTN molecules was driven by synchronized gene expression,which was regulated by IFN-γsignaling and the RFX complex.Additionally,an enzyme called QPCTL was shown to play a key role in modifying the N-terminal glutamine of these BTN proteins and was found to be a crucial factor in Vγ9Vδ2 T cell killing of cancer cells.Through our research,we offer a detailed overview of the functional genomic mechanisms that underlie how cancer cells escape Vγ9Vδ2 T cells.Moreover,our findings shed light on the importance of the harmonized expression and function of gene family members in modulating T-cell activity.

Intramedullary tumors are a class of central nervous system tumors with an incidence of 2 to 4%.As they are located very deep and frequently cause postoperative neurological complications,surgical resection is difficult.In recent years,many surgeons have performed electrophysiological monitoring to effectively reduce the occurrence of post-operative neurological complications.Modern electrophysiological monitoring technology has advanced considerably,leading to the development of many monitoring methods,such as SSEPs,MEPs,DCM,and EMG,to monitor intramedullary tumors.However,electrophysiological monitoring in tumor resection is still being studied.In this article,we discussed the different monitoring methods and their role in monitoring intramedullary tumors by reviewing previous studies.Intratumorally tumors need to be monitored for a summary of the condition of the patient.Only by using various monitoring methods flexibly and through clear communication between surgeons and neurophysiological experts can good decisions be made during surgery and positive surgical results be achieved.

Carbon enhanced nucleophilicity of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3):A general approach for dendrite-free zinc metal anodes

Zincophilic property and high electrical conductivity are both very important parameters to design novel Zn anode for aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs).However,single material is difficult to exhibit zincophilic property and high electrical conductivity at the same time.Herein,originating from theoretical calculation,a zincophilic particle regulation strategy is proposed to address these limitations and carbon coated Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)is taken as an example to be a protective layer on zinc metal(NVPC@Zn).Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP)is a common cathode material for Zn-ion batteries,which is zincophilic.Carbon materials not only offer an electron pathway to help Zn deposition onto NVPC surface,but also enhance the zinc nucleophilicity of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3).Hence,this hybrid coating layer can tune zinc deposition and resist side reactions such as hydrogen generation and Zn metal corrosion.Experimentally,a symmetrical battery with NVPC@Zn electrode displays highly reversible plating/stripping behavior with a long cycle lifespan over 1800 h at2 mA cm^(-2),much better than carbon and Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)solely modified Zn electrodes.When the Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)is replaced with zincophobic Al2O3or zincophilic V2O3,the stability of the modified zinc anodes is also prolonged.This strategy expands the option of zincophilic materials and provides a general and effective way to stabilize the Zn electrode.

Incorporating topological physics into the realm of quantum photonics holds the promise of developing quantum light emitters with inherent topological robustness and immunity to backscattering.Nonetheless,the deterministic interaction of quantum emitters with topologically nontrivial resonances remains largely unexplored.Here we present a single photon emitter that utilizes a single semiconductor quantum dot,deterministically coupled to a second-order topological corner state in a photonic crystal cavity.By investigating the Purcell enhancement of both single photon count and emission rate within this topological cavity,we achieve an experimental Purcell factor of Fp=3.7.Furthermore,we demonstrate the on-demand emission of polarized single photons,with a second-order autocorrelation function g(2)(0)as low as 0.024±0.103.Our approach facilitates the customization of light-matter interactions in topologically nontrivial environments,thereby offering promising applications in the field of quantum photonics.

BACKGROUND The incidence of cholecystolithiasis is on the rise.Use of information,motivation,and behavioral skills can play a positive role in promoting changes in individual health behaviors.However,reports on the effects of information-motivationbehavioral(IMB)skills model based high-quality nursing as a perioperative nursing intervention for patients with gallstones are nonexistent.AIM To explore the application of IMB skills model based high-quality nursing in patients with gallstones.METHODS Two hundred and sixteen patients with cholecystolithiasis treated at our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were enrolled and divided into a control,highquality,and combined nursing groups,with 72 patients in each group.The control,high-quality,and combination groups received conventional,high-quality,and IMB skills model based perioperative nursing services,respectively.Differences in clinical indicators,stress levels,degree of pain,emotional state,and quality of life were observed,and complications and nursing satisfaction among the three groups were evaluated.RESULTS After nursing,the time to recovery of gastrointestinal function in the high-quality and combined nursing groups was significantly shorter than that of the control group,with the recovery of gastrointestinal function being the fastest in the combined nursing group(P<0.05).After nursing intervention,cortisol and norepinephrine levels in the high-quality and combined nursing groups were closer to normal than those of the control group 24 h after surgery,with the combined nursing group having the closest to normal levels(P<0.05).After 3 and 7 d of intervention,the patients’pain significantly improved,which was more prominent in the highquality and combination groups.Meanwhile,the pain score in the combination group was significantly lower than those of the control and high-quality nursing groups(P<0.05).After nursing intervention,the emotional states of all patients improved,and the scores of patients in the combination group were significantly lower
