Phenotypic Classification of Well-Differentiated Gastric Adenocarcinoma

Objective： To investigate the genotypes of well-differentiated non-cardiac gastric adenocarcinoma and their clinicopathological significance. Methods： Sixty-four cases of well-differentiated non-cardiac gastric adenocarcinoma were included in this study. The expressions of intestinal phenotypic markers including CDX2, MUC2, li-cadherin, CD10, Hepatocyte（Hep） and Villin, and gastric phenotypic markers including MUC5AC and pS2 were detected immunohistochemically. Based on the expressions of phenotypic markers, 64 cases can be divided into four phenotypes. Cases only expressing intestinal phenotypic markers were classified as intestinal phenotype; cases only expressing gastric phenotypic markers as gastric phenotype; cases expressing both intestinal and gastric phenotypic markers as gastrointestinal phenotype; and cases expressing neither intestinal nor gastric phenotypic marker as null phenotype. The association of phenotype and clinic-pathological parameters was analyzed. We also detected the expressions of markers related to the development and progression of cancer, including Rb, P53, c-Met, MIF, TGF-β-RII, β-catenin, CD44v6 and E-cadherin. Results： Of 64 cases, 33（51.6%） were intestinal type, 3（4.7%） were gastric type, 25（39.1%） were gastrointestinal type and 3（4.7%） were null type. Fifty-eight cases were either intestinal or gastrointestinal type, which accounted for 90.6% of all the cases. In addition, there was an association between phenotype and biological behaviors （invasion or metastasis）. The biological behaviors of intestinal and gastrointestinal type were better than gastric type. Compared with intestinal, gastric and gastrointestinal types, the biological behaviors of null type were the most aggressive. The biological behaviors of gastric carcinoma tended to be better as the number of expression of intestinal markers increased. A Hybrid Signal Processing Method Combining Mathematical Morphology and Walsh Theory for Power Quality Disturbance Detection and Classification

In this paper, a novel signal processing method combining mathematical morphology (MM) and Walsh theory is proposed, which uses Walsh functions to control the structuring element (SE) and MM operators. Based on the Walsh-MM method, a scheme for power quality disturbances detection and classification is developed, which involves three steps: denoising, feature extraction and morphological clustering. First, various evolution rules of Walsh function are used to generate groups of SEs for the multiscale Walsh-ordered morphological operation, so the original signal can be denoised. Next, the fundamental wave of the denoised signal is suppressed by Hadamard matrix;thus, disturbances can be extracted. Finally, the Walsh power spectrum of the waveform extracted in the previous step is calculated, and the parameters of which are taken by morphological clustering to classify the disturbances. Simulation results reveal the proposed scheme can effectively detect and classify disturbances, and the Walsh-MM method is less affected by noise and only involves simple calculation, which has a potential to be implemented in hardware and more suitable for real-time application.

Intermetallic Compounds Formation in Dissimilar Friction Stir Welding of Mg/Cu Alloys

Joining dissimilar Mg/Cu alloys was still an intractable problem because of the excessive intermetallic compounds(IMCs)and poor mechanical properties using conventional welding *** the present study,friction stir welding was employed for the butt joining of dissimilar AZ31B Mg-alloy and T2 pure Cu ***-free Mg/Cu joints were obtained with Mg-RS and Cu-AS configuration,at a welding speed of 50 mm/min and tool rotating speeds of 325 r/min,625 r/min and 925 r/*** the joining interface,both Mg_(2)Cu and MgCu_(2) IMC phases were observed,with a clear,uniform and continuous IMCs layer composed of two sub-layers,layer-A of Mg+Mg_(2)Cu and layer-B of Mg_(2)Cu+MgCu_(2).The maximum ultimate tensile strength of the Mg/Cu friction stir welding joint reached 130 MPa at 925 r/min due to enhanced mechanical interlocking between Mg and Cu,as well as sufficient metallurgical bonding at the joining interface with an IMCs layer thickness in the range of 1.0-2.0μm.

Gravity assistance is a critical factor influencing CO_(2)-Oil mixing and miscible flow during EOR and CO_(2)geological *** on the Navier-Stokes equation,component mass conservation equation,and fluid property-composition relationship,a mathematical model for pore-scale CO_(2) injection in oilsaturated porous media was developed in this *** model can reflect the effects of gravity assistance,component diffusion,fluid density variation,and velocity change on EOR and CO_(2) *** nonhomogeneous porous media,the gravity influence and large density difference help to minimize the velocity difference between the main flow path and the surrounding area,thus improving the oil recovery and CO_(2) *** CO_(2) injection angles and oil-CO_(2) density differences can increase the oil recovery by 22.6% and 4.2%,respectively,and increase CO_(2) storage by 37.9% and 4.7%,*** diffusion facilitates the transportation of the oil components from the low-velocity region to the main flow path,thereby reducing the oil/CO_(2) concentration difference within the porous *** diffusion can increase oil recovery and CO_(2) storage by 5.7% and 6.9%,*** addition,combined with the component diffusion,a low CO_(2) injection rate creates a more uniform spatial distribution of the oil/CO_(2) component,resulting in increases of 9.5% oil recovery and 15.7% CO_(2) storage,*** study provides theoretical support for improving the geological CO_(2) storage and EOR processes.

Effect of Nb-content on the corrosion resistance of Co-free high entropy alloys in chloride environment

This study investigated the effect of Nb-content on the corrosion behavior of the Al7Cr20Fe35-xNi35Mo3Nbx（x=0,1 and 2）high-entropy alloys in a *** results indicated that only the face centered cubic phase existed in the NbO and Nbl alloys,while the emergence of Laves phase was observed when Nb-content reached 2 at.%.The NbO and Nb1alloys exhibited pitting corrosion,while the NiAl-rich phase experienced localized preferential corrosion in the Nb2 *** electrochemical results revealed that the corrosion current density of the Nbx（x=0,1 and 2） alloys fell within the range of 10-8-10-7A·cm-2,with a pitting corrosion potential exceeding 700 ***,the Nb1 alloy exhibited the most impressive corrosion resistance,as its corrosion current density(7 × 10-8A·cm-2) was merely half that of 316LN stainless *** is attributed to its rapid passivation process,resulting in the development of a protective film characterized by an increased Cr2O3/Al2O3+Cr（OH）*** study highlighted that the addition of Nb contributed to gram refinement,decreased corrosion current density,and elevated pitting potential,favoring passivation and improving corrosion ***,excessive Nb-content resulted in the emergence of the Laves phase,inducing galvanic corrosion and diminishing resistance to corrosion.

Semantic segmentation-based semantic communication system for image transmission

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the widespread use of the Internet of Things, semantic communication, as an emerging communication paradigm, has been attracting great interest. Taking image transmission as an example, from the semantic communication's view, not all pixels in the images are equally important for certain receivers. The existing semantic communication systems directly perform semantic encoding and decoding on the whole image, in which the region of interest cannot be identified. In this paper, we propose a novel semantic communication system for image transmission that can distinguish between Regions Of Interest (ROI) and Regions Of Non-Interest (RONI) based on semantic segmentation, where a semantic segmentation algorithm is used to classify each pixel of the image and distinguish ROI and RONI. The system also enables high-quality transmission of ROI with lower communication overheads by transmissions through different semantic communication networks with different bandwidth requirements. An improved metric θPSNR is proposed to evaluate the transmission accuracy of the novel semantic transmission network. Experimental results show that our proposed system achieves a significant performance improvement compared with existing approaches, namely, existing semantic communication approaches and the conventional approach without semantics.

Constructing hierarchical ZSM-5 coated with small ZSM-5 crystals via oriented-attachment and in situ assembly for methanol-to-aromatics reaction

Developing hierarchical and nanoscale ZSM-5 catalysts for diffusion-limited reactions has received ever-increasing attention. Here, ZSM-5 architecture integrated with hierarchical pores and nanoscale crystals was successfully prepared via in situ self-assembly of nanoparticles-coated silicalite-1. First, the oriented attachment of amorphous nanoparticles on external surface of silicalite-1 was achieved by controlling the alkalinity of Si-Al coating solution. The partial exposure of the external surface of silicalite-1 ensured the uniform removal of silicon in the bulk phase for the creation of hierarchical pores during the subsequent desilication-recrystallization. The uniform removal of silicon species in the bulk phase was mainly due to the synergistic effect of surface protection and alkaline etching, which could be balanced by regulating the relative amount of tetrapropylammonium cation and OH– in desilication-recrystallization solution. Importantly, the removed silicon from silicalite-1 recrystallized and in situ assembled into final ZSM-5 nanocrystals induced by surface Si-Al nanoparticles. The hierarchical pores and nanoscale crystals on this integrated architecture not only promoted the removal of coke precursors from micropores but also provided large external specific surface (91 m^(2)·g^(-1)) for coke deposition. Consequently, a much longer catalytic lifetime was achieved for methanol-to-aromatics reaction compared to conventional hollow structure ZSM-5 (84 h vs 46 h), with relatively high stability.
