Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a class of regulatory non-coding RNAs characterized by the presence of covalently closed ends.A growing body of evidence suggests that circRNAs play important roles in physiology and pathology.In particular,accumulating data on circRNA functions in various central nervous system(CNS)diseases and their correlations indicate that circRNAs are critical contributors to the onset and development of brain disorders.In this review,we focus on the regulatory and functional roles of circRNAs in CNS diseases,highlighting their diagnostic and therapeutic potential,with the aim of providing new insights into CNS diseases.

The Sepsis Coagulopathy Asahi Recombinant LE Thrombomodulin(SCARLET)trial has many defects,and thus cannot be the terminator of recombinant thrombomodulin(rTM).On the contrary,it provides sufficient evidence for further research.Based on analysis focusing on the failure of SCARLET and several previous anticoagulant studies,it is most important for new studies to grasp the following two points:(1)The enrolled cases should have sufficient disease severity and a clear standard for disseminated intravascular coagulation;(2)Heparin should not be used in combination with the investigated drugs.Multiple post-hoc analyses show that no combination of heparin will not increase the risk of thromboembolism.In fact,the combination of heparin can mask the true efficacy of the investigated drug.Due to the complexity of sepsis treatment and the limitations of clinical studies,the results of all treatment studies should be repeatedly verified,rather than be determined at one stroke.Some research conclusions contrary to disease physiology,pharmacology and clinical practice may be deceptive,and should be cautious rather than be simply accepted.On the other hand,the dissenting voices in the"consensus"scene are often well discussed by the authors and should be highly valued.

Trauma-induced pulmonary thromboembolism is the second leading cause of death in severe trauma patients. Primary fibrinolytic hyperactivity combined with hemorrhage and consequential hypercoagulability in severe trauma patients create a huge challenge for clinicians. It is crucial to ensure a safe anticoagulant therapy for trauma patients, but a series of clinical issues need to be answered first, for example, what are the risk factors for traumatic venous thromboembolism? How to assess and determine the status of coagulation dysfunction of patients? When is the optimal timing to initiate pharmacologic prophylaxis for venous thromboembolism? What types of prophylactic agents should be used? How to manage the anticoagulation-related hemorrhage and to determine the optimal timing of restarting chemoprophylaxis? The present review attempts to answer the above questions.

刘亚群(下称刘):虹影老师,您好。作为女性主义作家,您曾说女性写作应进入一个新领域,中国作家需要革自己的命。您所谓的“女性写作的新领域”具体指的是一种什么样的写作呢?虹影(下称虹):女性写作领域现在到了一个新的时期,但是作品好像没有跟上。我们女性写作者的思想要高于我们的作品这个当然很难,全世界也都是一样,目前超越伍尔芙和苏珊·桑塔格的作品还比较少,像波伏娃《第二性》这样的我们虽然早期也出现过,比如九十年代的中国女性文学里面有女性身体写作,但目前现阶段没有特别突出的作品。

Thrombophilia denotes a condition,whether acquired or hereditary,characterized by increased susceptibility to hypercoagulation.[1]This condition was first described in 1965,coinciding with the discovery of an inherited predisposition to venous thromboembolism(VTE)in patients deficient in antithrombin III.[2]While arterial and venous thromboses are common in hospitalized patients,acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and pulmonary embolism(PE)stand out as lifethreateningconditions.However,theoccurrenceof AMI complicated by PE is exceedingly rare,especially when considering cases where paradoxical embolism originating from a patent foramen ovale is absent.This report presents a case of AMI complicated with PE.A comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of this rare yet critical condition is important for ensuring prompt diagnosis and treatment.

Due to the advantages such as low line cost,low transmission loss,and high power supply reliability,DC distribution networks have become the main development trend for future distribution networks.In this paper,a typical DC distribution network with multiple voltage levels is considered as a research object.It is proposed that the interface converters between DC buses with different voltage levels be implemented through the series-parallel combination of full-bridge LLC resonant converters.To realize the decentralized self-discipline control of DC voltage under various working conditions,different slack buses are prepared according to the voltage ranges of the DC buses,and the voltage regulation modes of the DC distribution network are divided into main voltage regulation mode,backup voltage regulation mode,and off-grid voltage droop regulation mode.By introducing a voltage coefficient related to DC voltage deviation as a basis for mode switching,the voltage fluctuations caused by slow switching between control modes in the method of traditional voltage margin control is reduced,facilitating fast and smooth switching between different voltage regulation modes.Finally,a simulation model for DC distribution networks is constructed utilizing MATLAB/Simulink.Simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed voltage regulation modes and switching methods for DC distribution networks.Finally,an experimental platform is also constructed to verify the feasibility of the mode switching method proposed in this paper.

To the Editor:Cervical disc degenerative disease(CDDD)is a common clinical spinal disease,which has a great impact on the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly patients.[1,2]Although it is challenged by advanced surgical techniques,anterior cervical discectomy and fusion(ACDF)is still the best choice for most patients with CDDD.[3,4]In most cases,the focus of ACDF surgery is“decompression.”However,for patients with preoperatively poor curvature,in addition to the decompression of the nerve to relieve symptoms,it is also vital to improve the cervical curvature.

The phase behavior of nanoparticle-filled ABC star triblock copolymers was investigated by dissipative particle dynamics simulation.Two typical structures,the three-color lamella and polygonal tiling structures,were selected to demonstrate the effect of filling the nanoparticle.Results showed that the filling effects were obvious on the lamellar structure but not on the tiling structure,where the high concentration of fillers can destroy the lamellar structures.The dynamic processes of nanoparticle filling were investigated for the lamellar and tiling structures,where three stages can be sorted by analyzing the system energies and chain conformations.Moreover,the mechanical properties were evaluated for the lamellar structures by exploring the interface tensions.The findings can help us understand the potential applications of microstructures based on complex block copolymers and nanoparticle mixtures.

Antiphospholipid syndrome(APS)is a systemic autoimmune disease defined by thrombotic or obstetrical events and persistent antiphospholipid antibodies(aPLs).Chemokine-like factor-like MARVEL transmembrane domain-containing family(CMTM)is widely expressed in the immune system and may closely related to APS.This review aimed to systematically summarize the possible effects of CMTM on APS.Publications were collected from PubMed and Web of Science databases up to August 2020.CKLF,CKLFSF,CMTM,antiphospholipid syndrome,immune cells,and immune molecules were used as search criteria.Immune cells,including neutrophil,dendritic cells(DCs),T-cells,B-cells,and inflammatory cytokines,play an important role in the development of APS.Chemokine-like factor 1(CKLF1)has a chemotactic effect on many cells and can affect the expression of inflammatory cytokines and adhesion molecules through the nuclear factor-kB(NF-kB)pathway or mitogen-activated protein kinase(MARK)pathway.CKLF1 can participate in the maturation of DCs,T lymphocyte activation,and the activation of neutrophils through the MAPK pathway.CMTM1 may act on Annexin A2 by regulating Ca^(2+) signaling.CMTM2 and CMTM6 are up-regulated in neutrophils of APS patients.Some CMTM family members influence the activation and accumulation of platelets.CMTM3 and CMTM7 are binding partners of B-cell linker protein(BLNK),thereby linking B cell receptor(BCR)and activating BLNK-mediated signal transduction in B cells.Moreover,CMTM3 and CMTM7 can act on DCs and B-1a cell development,respectively.CMTM may have potential effects on the development of APS by acting on immune cells and immune molecules.Thus,CMTM may act as a novel prognostic factor or immunomodulatory treatment option of APS.
