Background： Follistatin-like I （FSTL 1） is a novel profibrogenic factor that induces pulmonary fibrosis （PF） through the transforming growth factor-beta 1 （TGF-[B 1 ）/Smad signaling. Little is known about its effects on PF through the non-Smad signaling, like the mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK） pathway. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the role ofFSTL 1 in PF through the MAPK signaling pathway and its mechanisms in lung fibrogenesis. Methods： PF was induced in Fstll~ and wild-type （WT） C57BL/6 mice with bleomycin. After 14 days, the mice were sacrificed, and lung tissues were stained with hematoxylin and eosin; the hydroxyproline content was measured to confirm PF. The mRNA and protein level of FSTLI and the change of MAPK phosphorylation were measured by quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting. The effect of Fst11 deficiency on fibroblasts differentiation was measured by Western blotting and cell immunofluorescence. MAPK signaling activation was measured by Western blotting in Fst11＋/ and WT fibroblasts treated with recombinant human FSTLI protein. We pretreated mouse lung fibroblast cells with inhibitors of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase （ERK）, p38, and Jun N-terminal kinase （JNK） signaling and analyzed their differentiation, proliferation, migration, and invasion by Western blotting, 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide analysis, and transwell assays. The Student＇s t-test was used to compare the differences between two groups. Results： Fstll deficiency attenuated phosphorylation of the ERK, p38, and JNK signaling in bleomycin-induced fibrotic lung tissue 14 days after injury （0.67 ± 0.05 vs. 1.22 ± 0.03, t = 14.92, P = 0.0001; 0.41 ± 0.01 vs. 1.15 ± 0.07; t = 11.19; P = 0.0004; and 0.41 ± 0.01 vs. 1.07± 0.07, t = 8.92, P = 0.0009; respectively）, compared with WT lungs at the same time and in primary lung fibroblasts （0.82 ± 0.01 vs. 1.01 ±0.04, t = 4.06, P = 0.0150; 1.04 ±0.03 vs. 1.24 ± 0.0

Potential natural vegetation(PNV)is a valuable reference for ecosystem renovation and has garnered increasing attention ***,there is limited knowledge on the spatio-temporal distributions,transitional processes,and underlying mechanisms of global natural vegetation,particularly in the case of ongoing climate *** this study,we visualize the spatio-temporal pattern and inter-transition procedure of global PNV,analyse the shifting distances and directions of global PNV under the influence of climatic disturbance,and explore the mechanisms of global PNV in response to temperature and precipitation *** achieve this,we utilize meteorological data,mainly temperature and precipitation,from six phases:the Last Inter-Glacial(LIG),the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM),the Mid Holocene(MH),the Present Day(PD),2030(20212040)and 2090(2081–2100),and employ a widely-accepted comprehensive and sequential classification sy–stem(CSCS)for global PNV *** find that the spatial patterns of five PNV groups(forest,shrubland,savanna,grassland and tundra)generally align with their respective ecotopes,although their distributions have shifted due to fluctuating temperature and ***,we observe an unexpected transition between tundra and savanna despite their geographical *** shifts in distance and direction of five PNV groups are mainly driven by temperature and precipitation,although there is heterogeneity among these shifts for each ***,the heterogeneity observed among different global PNV groups suggests that they may possess varying capacities to adjust to and withstand the impacts of changing *** spatio-temporal distributions,mutual transitions and shift tendencies of global PNV and its underlying mechanism in face of changing climate,as revealed in this study,can significantly contribute to the development of strategies for mitigating warming and promoting re-vegetation in degraded regions worldwide.

The step-up resonant converters are widely adopted to provide high voltage in kV-level for electric propulsion system due to their high efficiency,low mass,modularisation,and high-power *** bipolar Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier(BiCWVM)is a major circuit that steps up the voltage in the resonant ***,the diode nonlinearity in BiCWVM can introduce self-sustained quasi-periodic oscillations in the voltage and current waveforms,which is commonly known as the Deane and Hamill(DH)*** oscillation can lead to higher magnetic loss and control failure,and it is more likely to present in the gallium nitride-based converter due to the highfrequency *** authors aim to investigate and mitigate the DH phenomenon systematically so that proper mitigation can be *** facilitate the investigation,the circuit before the BiCWVM in the converter is derived and modelled as a voltage source v_(m)and a series inductor L_(sy).Also,the reverse recovery process of the diode in the BiCWVM can be represented by a piecewise-linear(PWL)model,with the simplified circuit and PWL model,the relationship between voltage and current under different operating conditions can be determined with *** relationship allows to understand the mechanism of diode reverse recovery in BiCWVM that leads to DH ***,a hybrid-/full-silicon carbide(SiC)design is proposed to mitigate the DH phenomenon,which is verified experimentally for a 300-kHz,5-W,20-V/1.5-kV GaN-based step-up resonant converter.

Forest fires are natural disasters that can occur suddenly and can be very damaging,burning thousands of square *** is better than suppression and prediction models of forest fire occurrence have developed from the logistic regression model,the geographical weighted logistic regression model,the Lasso regression model,the random forest model,and the support vector machine model based on historical forest fire data from 2000 to 2019 in Jilin *** models,along with a distribution map are presented in this paper to provide a theoretical basis for forest fire management in this *** studies show that the prediction accuracies of the two machine learning models are higher than those of the three generalized linear regression *** accuracies of the random forest model,the support vector machine model,geographical weighted logistic regression model,the Lasso regression model,and logistic model were 88.7%,87.7%,86.0%,85.0%and 84.6%,*** is the main factor affecting forest fires,while the impacts of topography factors,human and social-economic factors on fire occurrence were similar.

Study on the influence of mechanism dispersion on transient recovery voltage distribution of modular DC vacuum circuit breakers

A simulation analysis and an experiment are carried out to investigate how the gap difference between the breaks of a direct current vacuum circuit breakers with multi-breaks(MB-DC VCB)caused by the mechanism dispersion of the breaker influences the distribution of TRV among the *** interruption model of MB-DC VCB,combining the continuous transition model,is established to analyse the rising rate of transient recovery voltage and the dielectric strength recovery speed of the breaks for MB-DC VCB under different gap difference *** on the experimental platform of dual break DC vacuum circuit breaker breaking,the correctness of the simulation model is verified on a DC VCB with the double-breaks interruption experimental ***,a model is applied to the non-synchronous interruption simulation of a DC VCB with *** relationship between the TRVs of the breaks under different gap difference conditions is analysed using the comparative analysis method,obtaining the maximum gap difference at the moment of breaking *** results of this study show that large-gap breaks have a higher TRV than small-gap breaks(the fracture of the action delay module),with double fractures reaching 1.4 times and triple fractures reaching a maximum of 1.52 times;the ability of small-gap breaks to withstand TRV is weak,giving rise to re-breakdown or even interruption failure;as the number of fractures increases,the maximum gap difference also *** the synchronous interruption ability of the MB-DC VCB is conducive to improving the interruption performance and interruption success rate of this type of a circuit breaker.

Vortex wave and plane wave,as two most fundamental forms of wave propagation,are widely applied in various research ***,there is currently a lack of basic mechanism to enable arbitrary conversion between *** this paper,we propose a new paradigm of extremely anisotropic acoustic metasurface(AM)to achieve the efficient conversion from 2D vortex waves with arbitrary orbital angular momentum(OAM)to plane *** underlying physics of this conversion process is ensured by the symmetry shift of AM medium parameters and the directional compensation of ***,this novel phenomenon is further verified by analytical calculations,numerical demonstrations,and acoustic experiments,and the deflection angle and direction of the converted plane waves are qualitatively and quantitatively confirmed by a simple *** work provides new possibilities for arbitrary manipulation of acoustic vortex,and holds potential applications in acoustic communication and OAM-based devices.
