Refracturing is an importa nt technique to tap the potential of reservoirs and boost production in depleted oil and gas ***,fracture propagation during refracturing,including both conventional refracturing and temporary-plugging refracturing remains poorly understood,especially for cases with non-uniform distribution of formation pressure due to long-term oil production and water ***,taking pilot tests of refracturing with sidetracking horizontal wells in tight reservoirs in the Changqing Oilfield,China as an example,we establish a three-dimensional numerical model of conventional refracturing and a numerical model of temporary-plugging refracturing based on the discrete lattice ***-uniform distributions of formation pressure are imported in these *** discuss the effects of key operating parameters such as injection rate,cluster spacing,and number of clusters on the propagation of multi-cluster fractures for conventional *** temporaryplugging refracturing,we examine the impacts of controlling factors such as the timing and number of temporary plugging on fracture *** addition,we analyze a field case of temporaryplugging refracturing using well P3 in the Changqing *** results show that fractures during re fracturing tend to propagate preferentially and dominantly in the depleted *** stimulation effect can be obtained with an optimal injection rate and a critical cluster *** proposed model of temporary-plugging refracturing can well describe the temporary plugging of dominant existingfractures and the creation of new-fractures after fracturing fluid is forced to divert into other clusters from previous dominant *** temporary plugging can improve the balanced propagation of multi-cluster fractures and obtain the maximum fracture *** established numerical model and research results provide theoretical guidance for the design and optimization of key operating pa

Reflection and transmission(R/T)responses characterize the propagation and energy distribution of incident and reflected waves on both sides of an interface which is crucial for imaging,amplitude variation with offset(AVO),and seismic inversion *** media are typically characterized by anisotropy which can have a significant impact on the R/T response,even at small incident ***,anisotropic media problems including reflection,transmission,and inversion are generally discussed under a weak anisotropy ***,this assumption is no longer valid in cases of large angles where anisotropy enhancement exacerbates the error of the conventional R/T coefficient *** R/T coefficient approximation method for strong VTI media was proposed based on the assumption of weak-contrast of the *** contrast to the conventional approach,which simplifies the phase velocity and polarization in an anisotropic background,the phase velocity and polarization at the weak-contrast interface of the elasticity and anisotropy parameters were approximated using a combination of the anisotropic background and perturbation ***,a first-order approximation of the R/T coefficients for the VTI media characterized by elastic and anisotropic parameters was derived using Cramer's law to invert the anisotropic background matrix,avoiding the assumption of weak ***,the exact solution of the Zoeppritz equations was used to correct the isotropic part,improving the accuracy of the R/T coefficients at interfaces with high-velocity *** tests on four classes of typical interfaces showed that the derived equations can be degraded to the Aki approximation in isotropic media,while exhibiting high accuracy in strong VTI *** analyses showed that a linear approximation that facilitates seismic inversion can be obtained by taking the S-to P-velocity ratio and anisotropy parameters in the coefficient terms a

This paper aims to present the configuration design approach and the energy management strategy （EMS） of a series-parallel hybrid electric transit bus （SPHEB） jointly developed by Shanghai Automotive Industry Co. Ltd. （SAIC） and Shanghai Jiao Tong University （SJTU）, China. A major feature of this SPHEB is that a novel manual transmission is designed to switch the powertrain configuration between series and parallel types. To reduce the fuel consumption as well as sustain the battery state of charge, an EMS including seven energy flow modes is designed and applied to this SPHEB. Governed by this EMS, the engine is maintained to operate in high efficiency regions. The experimental test carded on the transit bus city driving cycle is described and analyzed. The experimental results demonstrate the technical feasibility and fuel economy of this approach.

This paper considers fluid mixing driven by inflows connected to a circular shallow lake using a numerical framework consisting of a shallow water hydrodynamic model and a passive particle-tracking *** the flow field driven by alternate inflows predicted by a shallow water model,particle trajectories are traced out using a particle tracking *** horizontal fluid mixing dynamics are then interpreted using dynamics system analysis approaches including finite-time Lyapunov exponent(FTLE)and Lagrangian coherent structure(LCS).From the simulation results,it is confirmed that periodic inflows are able to create a weak dynamic system in an idealised circular lake,with the particle dynamics controlled by a single dimensionless parameter associated with the inflow *** mixing and transport property of the lake changes from regular to chaotic as the value of the dimensionless parameter increases until global chaotic particle dynamics is *** further analysing the advection of particles injected continuously to the inflows(freshwater),the fate of“freshwater”particles in a“polluted”lake is tracked and *** results provide useful guidance for engineering applications,i.e.,transferring freshwater from rivers to improve the water quality in polluted water bodies such as *** presented approach will be able to facilitate the design of‘optimised’schemes for such engineering implementation.

Inflammation is a driving force of hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs) aging, causing irreversible exhaustion of functional HSCs. However, the underlying mechanism of HSCs erosion by inflammatory insult remains poorly understood. Here, we find that transient LPS exposure primes aged HSCs to undergo accelerated differentiation at the expense of self-renewal, leading to depletion of HSCs. Meanwhile, the central regulator nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) mediating functional impairment by inflammation insult induces differential transcriptional response in aged HSCs compared with young HSCs, with precocious activation of myeloid lineage genes. Altered compartmentalization and chromatin loop formation are associated with aging-related differential transcriptional response in HSCs upon lipopolysaccharide(LPS)stimulation. Mechanistically, enhancer and promoter regions of myeloid lineage genes in aged HSCs are more accessible and display more rapid and prominent CTCF occupancy upon LPS stimulation. Our study provides comprehensive resources for the three-dimensional(3D)genome structure of HSCs and sheds light into the ordered genome organization and the associated transcriptome signature underlying HSCs aging.

Ore particles,especially fine interlayers,commonly segregate in heap stacking,leading to undesirable flow paths and changeable flow velocity fields of packed *** tomography(CT),COMSOL Multiphysics,and MATLAB were utilized to quantify pore structures and visualize flow behavior inside packed beds with segregated fine *** formation of fine interlayers was accompanied with the segregation of particles in packed *** particles reached the upper position of the packed beds during *** revealed that the average porosity of fine interlayers(24.21%)was significantly lower than that of the heap packed by coarse ores(37.42%),which directly affected the formation of flow ***,the potential flow paths in the internal regions of fine interlayers were *** flowed and bypassed the fine interlayers and along the sides of the packed *** velocity also indicated that the flow paths easily gathered in the pore throat where flow velocity(1.8×10^-5 m/s)suddenly *** stagnant regions with a flow velocity lower than 0.2×10^-5 m/s appeared in flow paths with a large diameter.

Key-value （KV） stores have become a backbone of large-scale applications in today＇s data centers. Write- optimized data structures like the Log-Structured Merge-tree （LSM-tree） and their variants are widely used in KV storage systems like BigTable and RocksDB. Conventional LSM-tree organizes KV items into multiple, successively larger components, and uses compaction to push KV items from one smaller component to another adjacent larger component until the KV items reach the largest component. Unfortunately, current compaction scheme incurs significant write amplification due to repeated KV item reads and writes, and then results in poor throughput. We propose a new compaction scheme, delayed compaction （dCompaction） that decreases write amplification, dCompaction postpones some compactions and gathers them into the following compaction. In this way, it avoids KV item reads and writes during compaction, and consequently improves the throughput of LSM-tree based KV stores. We implement dCompaction on RocksDB, and conduct extensive experiments. Validation using YCSB framework shows that compared with RocksDB, dCompaction has about 40% write performance improvements and also comparable read performance.
