Lysosomes are the degradation centers and signaling hubs in the cell. Lysosomes undergo adaptation to maintain cell homeostasis in response to a wide variety of cues. Dysfunction of lysosomes leads to aging and severe diseases including lysosomal storage diseases(LSDs), neurodegenerative disorders,and cancer. To understand the complexity of lysosome biology, many research approaches and tools have been developed to investigate lysosomal functions and regulatory mechanisms in diverse experimental systems. This review summarizes the current approaches and tools adopted for studying lysosomes, and aims to provide a methodological overview of lysosomal research and related fields.

Viscoelastic surfactants(VES)are often used as viscous diverters in acidizing stimulation to prolong the acid consumption time and maximize zonal coverage of the acid for improving well ***,the ceiling temperature of commercial VES cannot exceed 120℃in practical use because of the poor thermal stability and fragile molecular structure,hindering their implementation in hightemperature oil reservoirs,i.e.,≥150℃.Here we synthesized a novel c22-tailed diamine,N-erucaminopropyl-N,N-dimethylamine(EDPA),and examined comparatively its rheological behavior,assemblies morphology and molecular stability in 20 wt%Hcl with a commercial VES,erucyl dimethyl amidopropyl betaine(EDAB).The feasibility of EDPA for acidizing stimulation was assessed by acid etching of carbonate rock with its Hcl solution at 150℃.Rheological results showed that the 2.5 wt%EDPA—20 wt%Hcl solution maintains stable viscosity of 90 m Pa s at 150℃for 60 min,while that of 2.0 wt%EDAB Hcl solution is just 1 m Pa s under identical conditions.1H NMR spectra and cryo-TEM observations revealed that the chemical structure and self-assembled architectures of EDPA remained intact in such context,but the EDAB suffered from degradation due to the hydrolysis of the amide group,accounting for the poor heat-resistance and *** reaction rate of 2.5 wt%EDPA Hcl solution with carbonate rock was one order of magnitude lower than that of 20 wt%Hcl solution at 150℃,underpinning the potential of EDPA to be used in the high-temperature reservoirs *** work improved the thermal tolerance of VES in highly concentrated Hcl solution,paving a feasible way for the acidization of high-temperature reservoir environments(~150℃).

Patterns of taxonomic and phylogenetic beta diversity and their relationships with environmental correlates can help reveal the origin and evolutionary history of regional *** Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)harbors an exceptionally diverse flora,however,a phylogenetic perspective has rarely been used to investigate its beta diversity and floristic *** this study,we used a phylogenetic approach to identify patterns of beta diversity and quantitatively delimit floristic regions on the Qinghai-Tibet *** also examined the relationships between multifaceted beta diversity,geographical distance,and climatic difference,and evaluated the relative importance of various factors(i.e.,climate,topography and history)in shaping patterns of beta diversity.Sørensen dissimilarity indices indicated that patterns of species turnover among sites dominated the *** also found that patterns of both taxonomic and phylogenetic beta diversity were significantly related to geographical distance and climatic *** environmental factors that contributed most to these patterns of beta diversity include annual precipitation,mean annual temperature,climatic gradients and climatic *** dendrograms of dissimilarity and non-metric multidimensional scaling ordination based on phylogenetic beta diversity data identified ten floristic subregions in the *** results suggest that the contemporary environment and historical climate changes have filtered species composition among sites and eventually determined beta diversity patterns of plants in the QTP.

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed hybrid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they compete with each *** the target is not completely ionized,the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely ionized,this situation is ***,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high *** energy fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify the proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.

composite insulators have been widely used in transmission *** being removed from transmission lines,their housing silicone material cannot degrade *** tackle this problem,this paper proposes an effective method to recycle waste insulators by pyrolysis to obtain mullite(3Al_(2)O_(3)·2SiO_(2))with high purity and compact *** recycling process studied will not generate tox.c.*** thermal degradation process of housing material is investigated by analyzing its degradation products including the gas and residues in *** experimental results indicate that the colorant agent Fe2O3 inside the housing material is beneficial for the generation of mullite by decreasing the temperature of ***,since the transitional alumina generated by the dehydration of aluminum hydroxide(ATH)has a smaller diameter and can better dissolute into the silica phases,ATH is a better choice as the additional aluminum *** comparing the components,structure,and particle size of grains formed at different calcination temperatures,the proposed pyrolysis temperatures of the two stages are 1400◦c and 1600◦c,respectively.

Ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxides are promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their relatively high capacity and low ***,the high nickel content would induce bulk structure degradation and interfacial environment deterioration,and the absence of co element reduces the lithium diffusion kinetics,severely limiting the performance liberation of this kind of ***,a multifunctional Ti/Zr dual cation co-doping strategy has been employed to improve the lithium storage performance of LiNi_(0.9)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NM91)*** the one hand,the Ti/Zr co-doping weakens the Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing through magnetic interactions due to the inexistence of unpaired electrons for Ti^(4+)and Zr^(4+),increasing the lithium diffusion rate and suppressing the harmful coexistence of H1 and H2 *** the other hand,they enhance the lattice oxygen stability because of the strong Ti-O and Zr-O bonds,inhibiting the undesired H3 phase transition and lattice oxygen loss,improving the bulk structure and cathode-electrolyte interface *** a result,the Ti/Zr co-doped NM91(NMTZ)exhibits a 91.2%capacity retention rate after 100 cycles,while that of NM91 is only82.9%.Also,the NMTZ displays better rate performance than NM91 with output capacities of 115 and93 mA h g^(-1)at a high current density of 5 c,***,the designed NMTZ could enable the full battery to deliver an energy density up to 263 W h kg^(-1),making the ultra-high nickel cobaltfree lithium layered oxide cathode closer to practical applications.

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)is considered to be one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies for producing components with geometries and high geometrical precision that are unattainable by traditional *** superalloy exhibits exceptional mechanical and high-temperature performances,rendering it a prime candidate for advanced aero-engine *** the high demand for LPBF-manufactured superalloys,the superalloy is one of the materials manufactured difficultly by LPBF due to their large laser absorptivity fluctuation,poor molten pool stability and sharp temperature ***,superalloys are characterized by severe pores,undesirable coarse columnar grains and poor mechanical *** this work,the effect of nano-TiN particles on defects,molten pool characteristics and microstructure and performance of the composites were *** 4.5 wt%TiN/Haynes230 samples exhibited exceptional nanohardness and elastic modulus with maximum values reaching 5.53 GPa and 240.03 GPa,*** superior mechanical properties were attributed to the combined effects of spatter and gas pore inhibition,grain refinement and duplex nanophases ***,the stability of molten pool was enhanced,and spatter was effectively suppressed by adding nano-TiN particles,while grain refinement and columnar to equiaxed transitions were ***,the matrix exhibited a high dislocation density due to a significant hindrance of dislocation movement caused by massive nano-phases(e.g.,TiN and M_(23)c_(6)),resulting in the formation of extensive dislocation tangles and *** work offers novel insights into the role of nanoparticles reinforced superalloy composites by LPBF.

Tannery sludge with high chromium content has been identified as hazardous solid waste due to its potential tox.c.*** safety disposal and valorization of the tannery sludge remains a *** this study,the chromium stabilization mechanism was systematically investigated during chromium-rich tannery sludge was converted to biochar and the removal performance of the sludge biochar(SBc)for cr(Ⅵ)from tannery wastewater was also *** results showed that increase in pyrolysis temperature was conductive to the stabilization of cr and significant reduction of the proportion of cr(Ⅵ)in *** was confirmed that the stabilization of chromium mainly was attributed to the embedding of chromium in the c matrix and the transformation of the chromium-containing substances from the amorphous cr(OH)_(3)to the crystalline state,such as(FeMg)cr_(2)O_(5).The biochar presented high adsorption capacity of cr(Ⅵ)at low pH and the maximal theoretical adsorption capacity of SBc produced at 800°c can reach 352 mg cr(Ⅵ)/g,the process of which can be well expressed by Langmuir adsorption isotherm and pseudo second order *** electrostatic effect and reduction reaction were dominantly responsible for the cr(Ⅵ)adsorption by ***,this study provided a novel strategy for the harmless disposal and resource utilization for the solid waste containing chromium in leather industry.

Introducing and stabilizing oxygen vacancies in oxide catalysts is considered to be a promising strategy for improving catalytic activity and ***,we quantitatively create oxygen vacancies in the lattice of porous single-crystallineβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)monoliths by reduction treatments and stabilize them through the long-range ordering of crystal lattice to enhance catalytic activity and *** combination analysis of time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction and extended x-ray absorption fine structure discloses that the preferential generation of oxygen vacancy tends to occur at the site of tetrahedral coordination oxygen ions(O_(Ⅲ)sites),which contributes to the formation of unsaturated Ga-O coordination in the monoclinic *** oxygen vacancies are randomly distributed in lattice even though some of them are present in the form of domain defect in the PSc Ga_(2)O_(3)monoliths after the reduction *** number of oxygen vacancies in the reduced monoliths gives 2.32×10^(13),2.87×10^(13),and 3.45×10^(13)mg^(-1)for the Ga_(2)O_(2.952),Ga_(2)O_(2.895),and Ga_(2)O_(2.880),*** therefore demonstrate the exceptionally high c_(2)H_(4)selectivity of~100%at the c_(2)H_(6)conversion of~37%for nonoxidative dehydrogenation of c_(2)H_(6)to c_(2)H_(4).We further demonstrate the excellent durability even at 620℃for 240 h of continuous operation.
