Zinc(II) complexes of new macrocyclic tetraamines (cyclam derivatives) having a strategically appended phenolate group, have ben examined as catalyst for the hyd rolysis of 4nitrophenyl acetate(NA). It ovas proven that coordinated phenolate can serve as a good nucleophile that efficiently catalyze 4-nitrophenyl acetate(NA) hydrolysis.

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed hybrid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they compete with each *** the target is not completely ionized,the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely ionized,this situation is ***,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high *** energy fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify the proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.

Objective: The aim of the work described here was to evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (cEUS) in response evaluation for unresectable advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (Hcc) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody therapy. Methods: A prospective cohort of consecutive patients with Hcc who received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unresectable Hcc between January 2022 and October 2022 was included in this study. The patients underwent unenhanced ultrasound (US) and cEUS examinations before treatment and at follow-up. changes in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanced US and the largest diameters of the enhancing target tumors on cEUS were evaluated. Response Evaluation criteria in Solid Tumors (REcIST) version 1.1 with unenhanced US and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomography (MRI/cT) and modified REcIST (mREcIST) with cEUS and cEMRI/cT were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 Hcc patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barcelona clinic Liver cancer stage c, 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic target tumors) were studied. calculations of degree of necrosis in the target tumors revealed no significant differences between cEUS and cEMRI/cT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between REcIST version 1.1 of unenhanced US and mREcIST-cEUS was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of concordance between mREcIST-cEUS and mREcIST-cEMRI/cT (κ coefficient = 0.812). conclusion: cEUS proved to be superior to baseline US and is comparable to cEMRI/cT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody therapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

To improve the nitriding resistance of Zr_(2)Fe alloy,the ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(1-x)Ni_(x))(x=0,0.15,0.3,0.5)alloys were prepared by magnetic levitation melting *** effects of Ni substitution for Fe on the phase structure,hydrogen and nitrogen absorption properties of the alloys were investigated by x-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and p-c isotherm *** experimental results show that Ni substitution can effectively inhibit the formation of both α-Zr and ZrFe_(2) phases and promote the formation of c16 structure Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,causing Ni-substituted alloys to exhibit low nitrogen absorption rate and *** 623 K under 0.5 MPa nitrogen pressure,the nitrogen absorption capacity of ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy reaches to 0.8 mL/g,much lower than that of Zr_(2)Fe alloy(1.5 mL/g).Ni substitution decreases the crystal cell volume of the c_(16)Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,resulting in an increase in the hydrogen absorption equilibrium *** 623 K under 0.05 MPa hydrogen pressure,the hydrogen absorption capacity decreases from 1.46 wt%of Zr_(2)Fe alloy to 1.41 wt%of ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy.

Biocatalysis in organic solvents(OSs)has numerous important applications,but native enzymes in OSs often exhibit limited catalytic ***,we proposed a computation-aided surface charge engineering strategy to improve the catalytic performance of haloalkane dehalogenase DhaA in OSs based on the energetic analysis of substrate binding to the DhaA *** variants with enhanced OS resistance were obtained by replacing negative charged residues on the surface with positive charged residue(Arg).Particularly,a four-substitution variant E16R/E93R/E121R/E257R exhibited the best catalytic performance(five-fold improvement in OS resistance and seven-fold half-life increase in 40%(vol)dimethylsulfoxide).As a result,the overall catalytic performance of the variant could be at least 26 times higher than the wild-type *** spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulation studies revealed that the residue substitution mainly enhanced OS resistance from four aspects:(a)improved the overall structural stability,(b)increased the hydrophobicity of the local microenvironment around the catalytic triad,(c)enriched the hydrophobic substrate around the enzyme molecule,and(d)lowered the contact frequency between OS molecules and the catalytic *** findings validate that computationaided surface charge engineering is an effective and ingenious rational strategy for tailoring enzyme performance in OSs.

The performance of massive MIMO systems relies heavily on the availability of channel State Information at the Transmitter(cSIT).A large amount of work has been devoted to reducing the cSIT acquisition overhead at the pilot training and/or csI feedback *** fact,the downlink communication generally includes three stages,i.e.,pilot training,csI feedback,and data *** three stages are mutually related and jointly determine the overall system ***,there exist few studies on the reduction of csIT acquisition overhead from the global point of *** this paper,we integrate the Minimum Mean Square Error(MMSE)channel estimation,Random Vector Quantization(RVQ)based limited feedback and Maximal Ratio combining(MRc)precoding into a unified framework for investigating the resource allocation *** particular,we first approximate the covariance matrix of the quantization error with a simple expression and derive an analytical expression of the received Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR)based on the deterministic equivalence *** the three performance metrics(the spectral efficiency,energy efficiency,and total energy consumption)oriented problems are formulated *** practical system requirements,these three metrics can be collaboratively ***,we propose an optimization solver to derive the optimal partition of channel coherence *** results verify the benefits of the proposed resource allocation schemes under three different scenarios and illustrate the tradeoff of resource allocation between three stages.

Objectiveperitoneal free cancer cells can negatively impact disease progression and patient outcomes in gastric cancer. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of using golden-angle radial sampling dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (GRASP DcE-MRI) to predict the presence of peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer *** enrolled patients were consecutively divided into analysis and validation groups. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and perfusion were performed in patients with gastric cancer undergoing surgery, and peritoneal lavage specimens were collected for examination. Based on the peritoneal lavage cytology (PLc) results, patients were divided into negative and positive lavage fluid groups. The data collected included clinical and MR information. A nomogram prediction model was constructed to predict the positive rate of peritoneal lavage fluid, and the validity of the model was verified based on data from the verification *** was no statistical difference between the proportion of PLc-positive cases predicted by GRASP DcE-MR and the actual PLc test. MR tumor stage, tumor thickness, and perfusion parameter Tofts-Ketty model volume transfer constant (Ktrans) were independent predictors of positive peritoneal lavage fluid. The nomogram model featured a concordance index (c-index) of 0.785 and 0.742 for the modeling and validation groups, *** DcE-MR could effectively predict peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer patients. The nomogram model constructed using these predictors may help clinicians to better predict the risk of peritoneal free cancer cells being present in gastric cancer patients.
