Photoacoustic/ultrasound dual-modal imaging of human nails: A pilot study

Traditional diagnostic techniques including visual examination,ultrasound(US),and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)have limitations of in-depth information for the detection of nail disorders,resolution,and *** pilot study,for thefirst time,evaluates a dualmodality imaging system that combines photoacoustic tomography(PAT)with the US for the multiparametric quantitative assessment of human *** study involved a small cohort offive healthy volunteers who underwent PAT/US imaging for acquiring the nail unit *** PAT/US dual-modality imaging successfully revealed thefine anatomical structures and microvascular distribution within the nail and nail ***,this system utilized multispectral PAT to analyze functional tissue parameters,including oxygenated hemoglobin,deoxyhemoglobin,oxygen saturation,and collagen under tourniquet and cold stimulus tests to evaluate changes in the microcirculation of the nail *** quantitative analysis of multispectral PAT reconstructed images demonstrated heightened sensitivity in detecting alterations in blood oxygenation levels and collagen content within the nail bed,under simulated different physiological *** pilot study highlights the potential of PAT/US dual-modality imaging as a real-time,noninvasive diagnostic modality for evaluating human nail health and for early detection of nail bed pathologies.

Since nickel in the environment can damage aquatic ecosystems and accumulate in the human body through the food chain,it is important to develop probes with high selectivity and sensitivity for nickel ions(Ni).It has been well recognized that porphyrin has strong coordination ability which can coordinate with all the metal ions,therefore,it has its own advantages in metal ion *** describe here a hydrogen-bonded organic framework(HOF),HOF-13 b,based on a porphyrin-based building block(TDPP) with diaminotriazine moieties has been successfully constructed and structurally characterized(TDPP =5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-(2,4-diaminotriazinyl) phenyl) porphyrin).It is obtained by a single crystal to single crystal conversion process due to the diversity of hydrogen bonding modes of the diaminotriazine ***-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that HOF-13 b is composed of TDPP connected by the intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions among the diaminotriazine moieties,showing three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded *** fluorescence of HOF-13 b could be quenched or enhanced by different metal ions,especially exhibits highly sensitive and selective sensing for Ni,thus making it as potential chemical ***-bonded organic frameworks(HOFs) as an emerging material,mainly used for gas storage and *** hope our strategy to construct HOF-13 b can inspire more ideas to design and synthesize functional HOFs to expand the possible applications in other fields.

The nuclear safety has stimulated advances across various scientific disciplines. Particularly, volatile radionuclides from nuclear and medical waste stream are one kind important pollutant that should be paid more attention. Radionuclide iodine, as a volatile element, gains considerable attention due to its long life-time and severe damage on the human health. Researchers have been working to efficiently capture radioactive iodine using porous materials in recent years. Porous material constructed by hydrogen bonding, hydrogen bonded organic frameworks(HOFs), has the characteristics of design, modification, and easy function, which makes it have good application prospects in storage, separation and identification. Based on this, we chose a diaminotriazine porphyrin precursor with abundant heteroatoms to construct a three-dimensional framework HOF(13 b) and explore its capture capability for iodine. Compared to other porous materials, The HOF(13 b) featured excellent iodine affinity with uptake capacities up to 540 wt %. Our study might provide a new possibility for the design and synthesis of functional HOFs containing nitrogen-rich building units for effective capture of volatile iodine to address environmental issues.

In Vivo Efficacy of Neuropeptide S on the Expression of Cytokines Indeced by Influenza A Virurs in Ducks

Neuropeptide S(NPS)is involved in severe pathological *** evidence showed NPS regulates the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines in *** study investigated the effect of NPS on the secretion of inflammatory cytokines in ducks with H9N2 infection via intramuscular injection with NPS or NPS receptor(NPSR)*** ducks received 15 nM NPS or 10 nM NPSR antagonist in *** were collected to analyze the expression levels of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,IFN-α,NPS,and the H9N2 gene NP by RT-PCR and real time RT-PCR;samples were fixed to observe the histopathological changes by hematoxylin-eosin *** blood samples were collected(every 30 min,starting 1 h before injections and lasting until 2 h after injections)to measure the serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,and IFN-αby *** RT-PCR confirmed that the expression of NPS mRNA was increased in H9N2 infection *** data showed NPS treatment could reverse the pathological changes in the duck bursa induced by H9N2 *** the results of real time quantitative RT-PCR and ELISA methods showed NPS and NPSR antagonist treatments could significantly regulate the expression of IFN-α,but not of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α;meanwhile,the levels of increased IFN-α and decreased NP were further prompted by NPS,and NPSR antagonist ***,NPS is involved in the innate immunity response to H9N2 infection via the IFN-αpathway in ducks in *** results indicate NPS affects the immune homeostasis and provides an alternative for anti-H9N2 drugs.

Marine red yeast supplementation improves laying performance by regulating small intestinal homeostasis in aging chickens

Recent studies have shown that age-related aging evolution is accompanied by imbalances in intestinal *** red yeast(MRY)is a functional probiotic that has been shown to have antioxidant,immune and other ***,we chose 900 healthy Hy-Line Brown hens at 433 d old as the research subjects and evaluated the correlation between intestinal health,laying performance,and egg quality in aged hens through the supplementation of *** laying hens were assigned into 5 groups and received diet supplementation with 0%,0.5%,1.0%,1.5%,and 2%MRY for 12 *** results showed that MRY supplementation increased egg production rate,average egg weight,and egg quality,and decreased feed conversion ratio and daily feed intake(P<0.05).The MRY supplement improved antioxidant indicators such as superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),stimulated villus height,and increased the villus height to crypt depth ratio(V/C ratio)in the intestine(P<0.05).It also regulated the expression of intestinal inflammatory factors(transforming growth factor-β[TGF-β],interleukin[IL]-1β,IL-8,tumor necrosis factor-α[TNF-α])while increasing serum immunoglobulin G(IgG)levels(P<0.05).Furthermore,MRY supplementation upregulated the mRNA expression of tight junction proteins(occludin and zonula occludens-1[ZO-1]),anti-apoptotic gene(Bcl-2),and autophagy-related proteins(beclin-1 and light chain 3I[LC3I])in the intestine(P<0.05).The MRY supplement also led to an increase in the concentration of short-chain fatty acids in the cecum,and the relative abundance of the phylum Bacteroidetes,and genera Bacteroides and Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut_*** LEfSe analysis revealed an enrichment of Sutterella and Akkermansia *** conclusion,the results of this experiment indicated that the additional supplementation of MRY can improve the production performance of laying hens and may contribute to the restoration and balance of intestinal homeostasis,which sup

高效铣削加工过程中,受高频、断续切削载荷作用,铣刀与工件接触角度、姿态频繁变动,使得刀工界面相对摩擦力及其引起的应力波传播、衰减过程动态变化,导致高效铣削过程摩擦磨损、磨损寿命难以准确识别及预测。构建刀齿误差和铣削振动影响下的铣刀-工件动态接触关系模型,解算铣刀刀齿后刀面摩擦力,根据一维弦线理论,提出刀齿后刀面摩擦应力波传播距离、变化速率与衰减率的解算方法。结果表明,靠近刀尖处应力波峰值和变化速率更大,高效铣刀摩擦应力波衰减过程呈偏态指数型衰减。应力波解算方法的关联度验证结果表明,刀齿后刀面特征点能量与试验累积磨损深度的关联度大于0.8,验证了模型的准确性。

Facile preparation of low shrinkage polybenzoxazine aerogels for high efficiency thermal insulation

High performance thermal insulation materials are urgently demanded for energy saving and thermal protection *** aerogels are considered as promising and highly efficient thermal insulation materials,but high shrinkage has been a major obstacle to limit their development and ***,by a co-polymerization of formaldehyde(F)and benzoxazine prepolymers,polybenzoxazine with increased crosslink density and thus enhanced gel strength was formed,leading to low shrinkage polybenzoxazine(PBOF)aerogels with hierarchical micro/*** hierarchical porous nanoskeleton of PBOF aerogels,composed of stacked thick-united spherical nanoparticles,was formed due to the different solubility of the reactants in N,N-dimethylformamide and F aqueous *** from the low shrinkage(13.22%,exceeding 60%reduction),the PBOF aerogels exhibit a low thermal conductivity of 0.0397 W m^(−1)K^(−1)at room temperature and outstanding thermal protection ability at high temperature.A 13 mm thick sample could resist a butane flame of 1300°C for 90 s,and the hand was not burn when touching the *** strategy enables PBOF aerogels with a new perspective for their applications in civil and military fields.

In this review paper,the applications of biomineralization in environmental geotechnics are *** environmental geotechnics scenarios,namely heavy metal contamination immobilization and removal,waste and CO_(2)containment,and recycled use of industrial byproducts,are discussed and evaluated regarding current trends and *** biomineralization process,specifically the Microbially Induced Carbonate Precipitation(MICP)technology,is an effective solution for immobilizing heavy metals through co-precipitation with calcium carbonate,with successful results in cleaning up contaminated *** nature of biomineralization enhances earth material strength and decreases permeability,making it suitable for waste and CO_(2)***,using industrial byproducts in MICP technology can improve the physical,mechanical,and hydraulic properties of earth materials,making it a potential solution for efficient waste *** conclusion,the applications of biomineralization in environmental geotechnics hold great promise for solving various environmental ***,further research is needed to better understand the control and consistency of biomineralization processes,the durability of biominerals,the scale of applications,and environmental concerns.

Direct Visualization of Deforming Atomic Wavefunction in Ultraintense High-Frequency Laser Pulses

Interaction of intense laser fields with atoms distorts the bound-state electron *** the temporal response of the electron cloud to the laser field is of fundamental importance for understanding the ultrafast dynamics of various nonlinear phenomena of matter,but it is particularly ***,we show that the ultrafast response of the atomic electron cloud to the intense high-frequency laser pulses can be probed with the attosecond time-resolved photoelectron *** this method,an infrared laser pulse is employed to trigger tunneling ionization of the deforming *** shape of the deforming electron cloud is encoded in the hologram of the photoelectron momentum *** a demonstration,by solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation,we show that the adiabatic deforming of the bound-state electron cloud,as well as the nonadiabatic transition among the distorted states,is successfully tracked with attosecond *** work films the formation process of the metastable Kramers-Henneberger states in the intense high-frequency laser *** establishes a novel approach for time-resolved imaging of the ultrafast bound-state electron processes in intense laser fields.
