OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Astragaloside IV(AS-IV)on radiation-induced liver inflammation in mice.METHODS:The mice were divided into normal group,dimethyl sulfoxide solvent group,irradiation group(IR),irradiation+AS-IV(20 mg/kg)group(IR+AS-20)and irradiation+AS-IV(40 mg/kg)group(IR+AS-40).One month after intraperitoneal injection of AS-IV,the mice were irradiated with 8Gry Co60γ,the blood was collected for biochemical analysis,and the liver was collected for hematoxylin-eosin staining,immunofluorescence and electron microscopic observation,oxidative stress,and Western blot analysis.RESULTS:The AS-IV treatment significantly ameliorated the pathological morphology of liver and reduced the alanine aminotransferase and aspertate aminotransferase levels in serum induced by radiation;AS-IV treatment also significantly reduced the expression of inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 6 and antagonized malonaldehyde content and superoxide dismutase activity in liver caused by radiation;in addition,AS-IV treatment can significantly inhibited the positive expression of thioredoxin-interacting protein(TXNIP)and nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome in liver tissue after radiation;The expression of TXNIP,NLRP3 inflammasome,apoptosisassociated speck-like protein containing a CARD,cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinase 1 and interleukin 1beta in the AS-IV prevention group decreased significantly compared to the radiation group.CONCLUSIONS:These findings suggested that Co60γradiation can cause structural and functional damage to the liver,which may be related to the NLRP3 mediated inflammatory pathway;AS-IV may play a protective role by inhibiting the TXNIP/NLRP3 inflammasome signaling pathway in the radiation-induced liver injury model.

A Physical Layer Network Coding Based Tag Anti-Collision Algorithm for RFID System

In RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification)system,when multiple tags are in the operating range of one reader and send their information to the reader simultaneously,the signals of these tags are superimposed in the air,which results in a collision and leads to the degrading of tags identifying efficiency.To improve the multiple tags’identifying efficiency due to collision,a physical layer network coding based binary search tree algorithm(PNBA)is proposed in this paper.PNBA pushes the conflicting signal information of multiple tags into a stack,which is discarded by the traditional anti-collision algorithm.In addition,physical layer network coding is exploited by PNBA to obtain unread tag information through the decoding operation of physical layer network coding using the conflicting information in the stack.Therefore,PNBA reduces the number of interactions between reader and tags,and improves the tags identification efficiency.Theoretical analysis and simulation results using MATLAB demonstrate that PNBA reduces the number of readings,and improve RFID identification efficiency.Especially,when the number of tags to be identified is 100,the average needed reading number of PNBA is 83%lower than the basic binary search tree algorithm,43%lower than reverse binary search tree algorithm,and its reading efficiency reaches 0.93.

In the age of artificial intelligence,firms'internal data are increasingly valuable when merged with each other for inter-firm analysis and predictions.However,the inter-firm data transactions represent a novel challenge on pricing due to the complex nature of data,such as quality information asymmetry,lack of pricing standards,and the negligible marginal cost.This paper conducts a case study at Shanghai Data Exchange to explore the factors that can facilitate the data transactions between buyers and providers.We use interview transcripts from 18 participating firms to construct our three theoretical dimensions:increasing the perceived value,mitigating the cost,and improving the market design.We then browse through 18 factors to assess their value for further improvements.The managerial implications are also discussed.

interactions,many flowers are known to display their attractive qualities,such as scent emission,flower rewards and floral vertical direction,in a rhythmic fashion.However,less is known about how plants regulate the relationship between these flower traits to adapt to pollinator visiting behavior and increase reproduction success.Here we investigated the adaptive significance of the flower bending from erect to downward in Trifolium repens.We observed the flowering dynamic characteristics(changes of vertical direction of florets,flowering number,pollen grain numbers,pollen viability and stigma receptivity over time after blossom)and the factors affecting the rate of flower bending in T.repens.Then we altered the vertical direction of florets in inflorescence of different types(upright and downward),and compared the pollinator behaviors and female reproductive success.Our results showed that florets opened sequentially in inflorescence,and then bend downwards slowly after flowering.The bending speed of florets was mainly influenced by pollination,and bending angle increased with the prolongation of flowering time,while the pollen germination rate,stigma receptivity and nectar secretion has a rhythm of“lowhigh-low”during the whole period with the time going.The visiting frequency of all the four species of pollinators on upward flowers was significantly higher than that of downward flowers,and they especially prefer to visit flowers with a bending angle of 30°–60°,when the flowers was exactly of the highest flower rewards(nectar secretion and number of pollen grains),stigma receptivity and pollen germination rate.The seed set ratio and fruit set ratio of upward flowers were significantly higher than downward flowers,but significantly lower than unmanipulated flowers.Our results indicated that the T.repens could increase female and male fitness by accurate pollination.The most suitable flower angle saves pollinators’visiting energy and enables them to obtain the highest nectar rewards.This coordination between plant

The shock-induced reaction mechanism and characteristics of Ni/Al system,considering an Al nanoparticle-embedded Ni single crystal,are investigated through molecular dynamics simulation.For the shock melting of Al nanoparticle,interfacial crystallization and dissolution are the main characteristics.The reaction degree of Al particle first increases linearly and then logarithmically with time driven by rapid mechanical mixing and following dissolution.The reaction rate increases with the decrease of particle diameter,however,the reaction is seriously hindered by interfacial crystallization when the diameter is lower than 9 nm in our simulations.Meanwhile,we found a negative exponential growth in the fraction of crystallized Al atoms,and the crystallinity of B2-NiAl(up to 20%)is positively correlated with the specific surface area of Al particle.This can be attributed to the formation mechanism of B2-NiAl by structural evolution of finite mixing layer near the collapsed interface.For shock melting of both Al particle and Ni matrix,the liquid-liquid phase inter-diffusion is the main reaction mechanism that can be enhanced by the formation of internal jet.In addition,the enhanced diffusion is manifested in the logarithmic growth law of mean square displacement,which results in an almost constant reaction rate similar to the mechanical mixing process.

Sorafenib,a molecular targeted multi-kinase inhibitor,has received considerable interests in recent years due to its significant profiles of efficacy in cancer therapy.However,poor pharmacokinetic properties such as limited water solubility,rapid elimination and metabolism lead to low bioavailability,restricting its further clinical application.Over the past decade,with substantial progress achieved in the development of nanotechnology,various types of smart sorafenib nanoformulations have been developed to improve the targetability as well as the bioavailability of sorafenib.In this review,we summarize various aspects from the preparation and characterization to the evaluation of antitumor efficacy of numerous stimuli-responsive sorafenib nanodelivery systems,particularly with emphasis on their mechanism of drug release and tumor microenvironment response.In addition,this review makes great effort to summarize the nanosystem-based combination therapy of sorafenib with other antitumor agents,which can provide detailed information for further synergistic cancer therapy.In the final section of this review,we also provide a detailed discussion of future challenges and prospects of designing and developing ideal sorafenib nanoformulations for clinical cancer therapy.

Photocatalysis is considered as an ideal strategy for water pollution treatment.However,it remains challenging to design a highly efficient photo-catalytic system through regulating the charge flow via a precise approach.In this work,a novel NH2-MIL-125(Ti)/Bi2WO6 composite was constructed via self-assembly growing Bi2WO6 nanosheets on NH2-MIL-125(Ti)material.The characterization results demonstrated that NH2-MIL-125(Ti)was successfully incorporated into Bi2WO6 and the photoexcited carriers could be efficiently separated and transferred between the two components.NH2-MIL-125(Ti)/Bi2WO6 composites displayed enhanced photocatalytic activity for the removal of rhodamine B(RhB)and tetracycline(TC)under visible light irradiation,and the optimal weight ratio of NH2-MIL-125(Ti)was determined to be 7 wt%.The introduction of NH2-MIL-125(Ti)into Bi2WO6 could raise the absorption of visible light,accelerate the separation and transfer of charge carriers,and boost photocatalytic activity.This research presents a wide range of possibilities for the further development of novel composites in the field of environment purification.

Cullin-RING ligases(CRLs)recognize and interact with substrates for ubiquitination and degradation,and can be targeted for disease treatment when the abnormal expression of substrates involves pathologic processes.Phosphorylation,either of substrates or receptors of CRLs,can alter their interaction.Phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination and proteasome degradation influence various cellular processes and can contribute to the occurrence of various diseases,most often tumorigenesis.These processes have the potential to be used for tumor intervention through the regulation of the activities of related kinases,along with the regulation of the stability of specific oncoproteins and tumor suppressors.This review describes the mechanisms and biological functions of crosstalk between phosphorylation and ubiquitination,and most importantly its influence on tumorigenesis,to provide new directions and strategies for tumor therapy.

This work presents an electrochemical study of enhanced electronic communication based on intermolecular hydrogen-bonding in ferrocenemethanol （described as FcCH2OH） molecular clusters. The enhanced electronic communication in FcCH2OH clusters is confirmed and further investigated by differential-pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. A key finding is that this enhanced electronic communication increases the standard rate constant of the electron transfer process.
