The unstructured data such as visual information,natural language,and human behaviors opens up a wide array of opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence(Al).The memory-centric neuromorphic computing(MNC)has been proposed for the efficient processing of unstructured data,bypassing the von Neumann bottleneck of current computing *** development of MNC would provide massively parallel processing of unstructured data,realizing the cognitive Al in edge and wearable *** this review,recent advances in memory-centric neuromorphic devices are discussed in terms of emerging nonvolatile memories,volatile switches,synaptic plasticity,neuronal models,and memristive neural network.

Malignant mesothelioma of the greater omentum mimicking omental infarction:A case report

Mesothelioma develops most commonly in the pleura, and less frequently in the peritoneum. Usually, it manifests as diffuse peritoneal thickening and multiple nodules, and rarely as a solitary mass. We report a rare case of primary malignant mesothelioma of the greater omentum, which mimicked omental infarct. A 54-year-old Korean man was admitted because of severe abdominal pain of sudden onset. A tender mass with indistinct margins was palpated in the upper abdomen. Abdominal ultrasound and computed tomography showed an ill- def ined mass in the greater omentum and little ascites in the peri-hepatic space, and neutrophil-dominant exudates were documented on paracentesis. Intravenous antibiotics and analgesics were given for omental infarction with superimposed infection, which resulted in symptomatic improvement. The imaging studies after a week revealed a growing mass and ascites. Laparoscopic surgery was performed and an 8 cm×3.3 cm greater omental mass was found, with multiple small nodules on the peritoneum, diaphragm, and pelvic cavity wall. Histological examination showed proliferating malignant epithelioid cells that stained strongly for calretinin, which was compatible with malignant mesothelioma. We recommend that primary omental mesothelioma should be included in the differential diagnosis of patients with omental infarction, despite its rarity.

BACKGROUND Optimal treatment for iliopsoas tendinitis after total hip arthroplasty(THA)with cup malposition,iliopsoas release alone or with cup revision,is controversial,particularly in young,active ***,arthroscopic iliopsoas tendon(IPT)release in these patients has been rarely described,and midterm effects of this procedure on THA longevity and groin pain recurrence remain *** performed arthroscopic IPT release after THA and report midterm outcomes in two young patients with acetabular cup *** SUMMARY In the two patients,groin pain started early after *** examination revealed nonspecific findings,and laboratory tests showed no evidence of *** and computed tomography showed reduced acetabular component anteversion angle and anterior cup prominence of more than 16 *** therapeutic diagnosis,ultrasonography-guided lidocaine with steroid was injected into the IPT *** both patients,groin pain improved initially but worsened after a few ***,the patients underwent arthroscopic IPT release under spinal *** revealed synovitis with fibrous tissues around the IPT and various lesions related to the implants after *** tenotomy and debridement with biopsy were performed;histopathologic studies showed chronic inflammation with synovial *** patients were encouraged to start walking immediately after surgery,and they returned to complete daily function early after *** experienced no recurrence of groin pain or any implant-related problems 5 years *** Arthroscopic IPT release for cup malposition produced excellent midterm outcomes without recurrence of groin pain and implant-related problems.

Objective: To identify the source of infection and determine the clinical features and laboratory finding of measles infection,Methods: In 27 measles patients,except for 3 adult patients,the rest of 24 pediatric measles cases were analyzed with regard to age,sex,immunization status,transmission routes and molecular genotyping of measles virus,Eighteen measles patients who admitted in isolation ward were set apart to investigate clinical findings and its correlation with laboratory characteristics,Retrospective analysis of cases was conducted in this study,Results: Of the 24 pediatric patients,23(95.8%) had not received any measles-containing vaccine(MCV),Sixteen of the patients(66.7%) were aged <12 months,The suspicious index case of a girl aged 34 months was not vaccinated with MCV1 and got measles after a trip to Philippines,and molecular genotype was revealed as B3,Measles outbreaks in the community such as a restaurant were followed by this one imported case,According to analysis of 18 patients admitted in isolation ward,the median level of C-reactive protein(CRP) was 0.38 mg/d L and that of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) was 1 200 IU/L,All of the 18 patients had LDH levels above the normal range,Age correlated with CRP(ρ = 0.528,P = 0.024) and LDH(ρ = 0.501,P = 0.034),The duration of fever was correlated with the duration of fever before rash(ρ = 0.898,P < 0.01),The duration of hospitalization was correlated with CRP(ρ = 0.586,P = 0.011),The white blood cell counts were correlated with the levels of LDH(ρ = 0.505,P = 0.033),aspartate aminotransferase(ρ = 0.507,P = 0.032),and alanine aminotransferase(ρ = 0.481,P = 0.043),Conclusions: Early weaning of maternally derived measles antibodies therefore vaccination of MCV1 at a young age from 9 months to 12 months should be considered in situations of early exposure,Furthermore there is a call for consideration of scheduling an earlier age for the first dose of MMR vaccine in Europe,It is necessary for Korea to investigat

Nuclear masses ranging from O to Ti isotopes are systematically investigated with relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov(RCHB)theory,which can provide a proper treatment of pairing correlations in the presence of the *** O to Ti isotopes,there are 402 nuclei predicted to be bound by the density functional *** the 234 nuclei with mass measured,the root mean square(rms)deviation is 2.23 *** is found that the proton drip-lines predicted with various mass models are roughly the same and basically agree with the *** neutron drip-lines predicted,however,are quite *** to the continuum couplings,the neutron drip-line nuclei predicted are extended further neutron-rich than other mass *** comparison with finite-range droplet model(FRDM),the neutron drip-line nucleus predicted by RCHB theory has respectively2(O),10(Ne),10(Na),6(Mg),8(Al),6(Si),8(P),6(S),14(K),10(Ca),10(Sc),and 12(Ti)more neutrons.

The Toll signaling pathway is responsible for defense against both Grampositive bacteria and ***-negative binding protein 3(GNBP3)has a strong affinity for the fungal cell wall component,β-1,3-glucan,which can activate the prophenoloxidase (proPO)cascade and induce the Toll signaling *** differentiation factor 88 (MyD88)is an intracellular adaptor protein involved in the Toll signaling *** this study,we monitored the response of 5 key genes (TmGNBP3,TmMyD88,and Tenecin 1,2, and 3)in the Toll pathway of the mealworm Tenebrio molitor immune system against the fungus Beauveria bassiana JEF-007 using ***3,Tenecin 1,and Tenecin 2 were significantly upregulated after fungal *** better understand the roles of the Toll signaling pathway in the mealworm immune system,TmGNBP3and TmMyD88 were knocked down by RNAi *** gene expression levels decreased at 2 d postknockdown and were dramatically reduced at 6 d post-dsRNA ***, mealworms were compromised by *** JEF-007at 6d post-dsRNA injection. Silencing of TmMyD88 and TmGNBP3 resulted in reduced resistance of tilde host to fun- gal ***,reducing TmGNBP3 levels obviously downregulated Tenecin 1 and Tenecin 2expression levels,whereas silencing TmMyD88 expression resulted in de- creased Tenecin 2 *** results indicate that TmGNBP3 is essential to induce downstream antifungal peptide Tenecin i expression against *** JEF-007.

研究高压铸造Al-6Si-3Ni(SN63)及Al-6Si-3Ni-2Cu(SNC632)合金在3.5%(质量分数)NaCl水溶液中的腐蚀行为。X射线衍射及显微组织分析表明,单相Si及Al3Ni/Al3Ni2二元相分布在合金的晶界处,并且在SNC632合金晶界处析出单相Cu。电化学腐蚀实验结果表明,与SN63合金相比,SNC632合金表现出高的腐蚀电位(φcorr),低的腐蚀电流密度(Jcorr)及高的耐腐蚀性。电化学阻抗谱(EIS)等效电路曲线拟合分析表明,电解质与衬底之间存在两个界面,而SNC632合金的电荷转移电阻(Rct)要比SN63合金的高。浸泡腐蚀试验与电化学腐蚀结果一致,SNC632合金表现出较高的耐腐蚀性。Cu元素的添加导致在SNC632合金并未出现含金属间化合物的次生铜相而出现单相Cu,进而提高其抗腐蚀性。
