Combination of steam-enhanced extraction and electrical resistance heating for efficient remediation of perchloroethylene-contaminated soil:Coupling merits and energy consumption

In situ thermal desorption(ISTD)technology effectively remediates soil contaminated by dense nonaqueous phase liquids(DNAPLs).However,more efforts are required to minimize the energy consumption of ISTD *** study developed a laboratory-scale experimental device to explore the coupling merits of two traditional desorption technologies:steam-enhanced extraction(SEE)and electrical resistance heating(ERH).The results showed that injecting high-density steam(>1 g/min)into loam or clay with relatively high moisture content(>13.3%)could fracture the soil matrix and lead to the occurrence of the preferential flow of *** ERH alone,the electrical resistance and soil moisture loss were critical factors influencing heating *** ERH and SEE were combined,preheating soil by ERH could increase soil permeability,effectively alleviating the problem of preferential flow of ***,steam injection heated the soil and provided moisture for maintaining soil electrical conductivity,thereby ensuring power stability in the ERH *** with ERH alone(8 V/cm)and SEE alone(1 g/min steam),the energy consumption of combined method in remediating perchloroethylene-contaminated soil was reduced by 39.3%and 52.9%,*** findings indicate that the combined method is more favorable than ERH or SEE alone for remediating DNAPL-contaminated subsurfaces when considering ISTD technology.

旅游虚拟社区意见领袖是同时占据位置优势和资源优势的社区参与成员,他们能够控制和制约网络中其他成员的行为,进而产生网络权力。文章以去哪儿网为例,利用Python 3.0网络爬虫技术采集香港都会海逸酒店2016—2019年点评问答社区中用户发布或者回复的帖子;运用Ucinet 6.0分析软件建立旅游虚拟社区参与成员互动关系网络,利用中心度和结构洞指标测度网络结构权力,确定意见领袖。随后,文章重点聚焦于意见领袖的形成过程,采用文本分析的方法,探究意见领袖的网络权力特征及形成机制。研究发现:旅游虚拟社区意见领袖的网络权力具有自赋与他给、非强制与非显性、中介控制性与小范围性、动态性与非对称性4个表现特征。进一步研究发现,意见领袖的网络权力形成于专门话题讨论,基于旅游虚拟社区平台平等的参与环境和成员间持续有效的互动,某些成员在原有声望基础上,凭借个人魅力、专业知识等吸引和控制着其他参与成员,逐步占据了网络中的核心位置,成为网络中的活跃分子并具有了网络权力,网络权力在网络位置优势下被持续放大,活跃分子继续凝聚网络成员,在不断地跟帖与回帖互动中影响他人的旅游行为决策和思想意识,成为网络意见领袖,并深化和扩大着网络权力。

Challenges and prospects for room temperature solid-state sodiumsulfur batteries

Room temperature sodium-sulfur(Na-S)batteries,known for their high energy density and low cost,are one of the most promising next-generation energy storage ***,the polysulfide shuttling and uncontrollable Na dendrite growth as well as safety issues caused by the use of organic liquid electrolytes in Na-S cells,have severely hindered their ***-state electrolytes instead of liquid electrolytes are considered to be the most direct and effective solution to solve the above ***,its practical application is still greatly challenged due to the poor interfacial compatibility between the all-solid-state electrolytes and the anode/cathode,ionic conductivity,and the shuttle effect caused by the presence of liquid phase in the quasi-solid-state *** paper presents a comprehensive review of solid-state Na-S batteries from the perspective of regulating interfacial compatibility and improving ionic conductivity as well as suppressing polysulfide *** to different components,solid-state electrolytes were divided into five categories:solid inorganic electrolytes,solid polymer electrolytes,polymer/inorganic solid hybrid electrolytes,gel polymer electrolytes,and liquid–solid inorganic hybrid ***,the prospect of developing high performance solid-state electrolytes to improve the cycling stability of room temperature Na-S cells is envisaged.

Enhanced service stability and thermoelectric performance in Cu_(2)−δSebased composites

Thermoelectric(TE)materials can directly convert the industrial waste heat into useful electricity based on the Seebeck effect,providing a promising way to tackle the environmental pollution and global energy crisis[1].In the past several decades,many new high-performance TE materials have been discovered to enrich the TE *** them,Cu_(2)−δSe-based TE materials,which are in line with the“phonon-liquid electron-crystal”concept,have sparked widespread interest due to the high TE figure-of-merit(ZT)and the combination of elements that are nontoxic and earth-abundant[2].In 2012,Liu et al.[3]reported a ZT of 1.5 at 1000 K in the stoichiometric Cu_(2)*** alloying S at the Se-site,the ZT was enhanced to around 2.0 at 1000 K[4].Via incorporating carbon nanotubes,the ZT was further enhanced to 2.4 at 1000 K[5].Moreover,Yang et al.[6]and Zhou et al.[7]reported that the ZT of Cu_(2)Se/BiCuSeO composites can reach 2.7–2.8 around 1000 K.

An oscillation-free Hermite WENO scheme for hyperbolic conservation laws

In this paper, the sixth-order oscillation-free Hermite weighted essentially non-oscillatory (OFHWENO) scheme is proposed for hyperbolic conservation laws on structured meshes, where the zeroth- andfirst-order moments are the variables for the governing equations. The main difference from other HWENOschemes existing in the literature is that we add high-order numerical damping terms in the first-order momentequations to control spurious oscillations for the OF-HWENO scheme. The OF-HWENO scheme not only canachieve the designed optimal numerical order, but also can be easily implemented as we use only one set ofstencils in the reconstruction procedure and the same reconstructed polynomials are applied for the zeroth- andfirst-order moment equations. In order to obtain the adaptive order resolution when facing discontinuities, atransition polynomial is added in the reconstruction, where the associated linear weights can also be any positivenumbers as long as their summation equals one. In addition, the OF-HWENO scheme still keeps compactnessas only immediate neighbor values are needed in the space discretization. Some benchmark numerical tests areperformed to illustrate the high-order accuracy, high resolution and robustness of the proposed scheme.

Carbon enhanced nucleophilicity of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3):A general approach for dendrite-free zinc metal anodes

Zincophilic property and high electrical conductivity are both very important parameters to design novel Zn anode for aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs).However,single material is difficult to exhibit zincophilic property and high electrical conductivity at the same ***,originating from theoretical calculation,a zincophilic particle regulation strategy is proposed to address these limitations and carbon coated Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)is taken as an example to be a protective layer on zinc metal(NVPC@Zn).Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP)is a common cathode material for Zn-ion batteries,which is *** materials not only offer an electron pathway to help Zn deposition onto NVPC surface,but also enhance the zinc nucleophilicity of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3).Hence,this hybrid coating layer can tune zinc deposition and resist side reactions such as hydrogen generation and Zn metal ***,a symmetrical battery with NVPC@Zn electrode displays highly reversible plating/stripping behavior with a long cycle lifespan over 1800 h at2 mA cm^(-2),much better than carbon and Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)solely modified Zn *** the Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)is replaced with zincophobic Al2O3or zincophilic V2O3,the stability of the modified zinc anodes is also *** strategy expands the option of zincophilic materials and provides a general and effective way to stabilize the Zn electrode.

Seismicity changes and numerical simulation of coseismic deformation following the 2022 M_(s)6.8 Luding earthquake in Sichuan,China

The Xianshuihe fault is a major tectonic boundary between the Sichuan-Yunnan rhombic and Bayanhar blocks in Southwest *** an average left-lateral strike-slip movement of 10–15 mm/yr,it is a fast-moving strike-slip continental *** September 5,2022,the Ms6.8 Luding earthquake occurred along the Moxi segment of the Xianshuihe fault,reaching a maximum intensity of IX and resulting in a significant number of casualties and severe property *** earthquake broke the long-standing seismic quiescence of the Xianshuihe fault,which lasted for more than 40 years,and was followed by a significant number of *** outstanding question is how the behavior of the Xianshuihe fault and major earthquakes changed following this *** this study,we examined the changes in regional seismicity following the Luding earthquake and identified the potential for future strong earthquakes along the Xianshuihe *** used a finite element numerical method to simulate the environment of the seismogenic fault and its adjacent *** addition,we used the coseismic slip model of the Luding earthquake with the split-node method to calculate how the stress and strain fields in the surrounding area were affected by the2022 *** stress changes were resolved in the main faults,and the seismicity of adjacent faults was analyzed in conjunction with the observed seismic *** results indicate that regional tectonic movement primarily occurred to the southeast along the Moxi *** stress field is approximately north-south in tension and east-west in *** in the stress field in the epicentral region of the Luding earthquake exceeded 1 *** maximum displacement of the coseismic deformation field was concentrated between Moxi town and Tuanjie village,and the Coulomb stress of the fault zone in this region experienced the largest ***,the b-value of the Gutenberg-Richter magnitude-frequency relationship at the epicenter a

Tensor perturbations from bounce inflation scenario in f(Q)gravity

In this paper,we construct a bounce inflation cosmological scenario in the framework of the modified symmetric teleparallel gravity,namely f(Q)theory,and investigate the tensor perturbations *** is well-known,the tensor perturbations generated in the very early Universe(inflation and pre-inflation regions)can account for the primordial gravitational waves(PGWs)that are to be detected by the next generation of GW *** discuss the stability condition of the tensor perturbations in the bounce inflation process and investigate in detail the evolution of the perturbation *** general form of the tensor power spectrum is obtained both for large as well as small scale *** a result,we show both kinds of modes(short or long wavelength modes),and the tensor spectrum may get a positive tilt in the parametric range where the tensor perturbation proves to be stable—this interestingly hints an enhancement of gravitational waves’amplitude in the background of the f(Q)bounce-inflation ***,we study the LQC-like scenario as a specific case of our model,in which,the primordial tensor power spectrum turns out to be nearly scale-invariant on both small and large scales.
