A novel approach to with a preparing ultra-lightweight ceramsite large amount of fly ash

The disposal of fly ash has become a serious problem in China due to its rapid increase in volume in recent *** most common method of fly ash disposal is solidification-stabilization-landfill,and the most common reuse is low-value-added building materials.A novel processing method for preparing ultra-lightweight ceramsite with fly ash was *** results show that the optimal parameters for preparation of ultra-lightweight ceramsite are as follows:mass ratio of fly ash:kaolin:diatomite=80:15:5,preheating temperature of 800℃,preheating time of 5 min,sintering temperatiire of 1220℃,and sintering time of 10 *** expansion agent is perlite,at 10 wt.% ***,a ceramsite with bulk density of 340 kg/m3,particle density of 0.68 g/cm3,and cylinder compressive strength of 1.02 MPa was *** of its low density and high porosity,ultra-lightweight ceramsite has excellent thermal insulation performance,and its strength is generally low,so it is usually used in the production of thermal insulation concrete and its *** formation of a liquid-phase component on the surface,and generation of a gas phase inside ceramsite during the sintering process,make it possible to control the production of the suitable liquid phase and gas in this system,resulting in an optimization of the expansion behavior and microstructure of *** characteristics show the feasibility of industrial applications of fly ash for the production of ultralightweight ceramsite,which could not only produce economic benefits,but also conserve land resources and protect the environment.

A multi-objective reinforcement learning algorithm for deadline constrained scientific workflow scheduling in clouds

High throughput relay policy in wireless cooperative relaying networks based on stochastic control theory

This paper proposes a distributed relay and modulation and coding scheme （MCS） selection in wireless cooperative relaying networks where the adaptive modulation and coding （AMC） scheme is applied. First-order finite-state Markov channels （FSMCs） are used to model the wireless channels and make prediction. The objective of the relay policy is to select one relay and MCS among different alternatives in each time-slot according to their channel state information （CSI） with the goal of maximizing the throughput of the whole transmission period. The procedure of relay and MCS selection can be formulated as a discounted Markov decision chain, and the relay policy can be obtained with recent advances in stochastic control algorithms. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Enhanced microwave absorption property of silver decorated biomass ordered porous carbon composite materials with frequency selective surface incorporation

Porous carbon(PC)is a promising electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbing material thanks to its light weight,large specific surface area as well as good dissipating *** further improve its microwave absorbing performance,silver coated porous carbon(Ag@PC)is synthesized by one-step hydro-thermal synthesis process making use of fir as a biomass *** compositions,morphological structure,and microwave absorption capability of the Ag@PC has been *** results show that the metallic Ag was successfully reduced and the particles are evenly distributed inward the pores of the carbon formwork,which accelerates graphitization process of the amorphous *** Ag@PC composite without adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)exhibits higher dielectric constant and better EM wave dissipating *** is because the larger particles of Ag give rise to higher electric *** combing with frequency selective surface(FSS),the EM wave absorbing performance is further improved and the frequency region below-10 d B is located in8.20-11.75 GHz,and the minimal reflection loss value is-22.5 *** work indicates that incorporating metallic Ag particles and FSS provides a valid way to strengthen EM wave absorbing capacity of PC material.

This paper investigates the coordinated attitude control problem for flexible spacecraft formation with the consideration of actuator configuration ***,an integral-type sliding mode adaptive control law is designed to compensate the effects of flexible mode,environmental disturbance and actuator installation *** basic idea of the Integral-type Sliding Mode Control(ISMC)is to design a proper sliding manifold so that the sliding mode starts from the initial time instant,and thus the robustness of the system can be guaranteed from the beginning of the process and the reaching phase is ***,considering the nominal system of spacecraft formation based on directed topology,an attitude cooperative control strategy is developed for the nominal system with or without communication *** proposed control law can guarantee that for each spacecraft in the spacecraft formation,the desired attitude objective can be achieved and the attitude synchronization can be maintained with other spacecraft in the ***,simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

Recovery of gold from refractory gold ores: Effect of pyrite on the stability of the thiourea leaching system

The extraction of gold from refractory gold ores(RGOs)without side reactions is an extremely promising ***,most RGOs contain large amounts of sulfide,such as ***,investigation of the influence of sulfide on the gold leaching process is important to maximize the utilization of *** this work,the effects of pyrite on the stability of the thiourea system were systematically investigated under different *** showed that the decomposition rate of thiourea was accelerated sharply in the presence of *** effect of pyrite on gold recovery in thiourea leaching systems was then confirmed via a series of *** decomposition efficiency of thiourea decreased by 40%and the recovery efficiency of gold increased by 56%after the removal of sulfide by *** optimal conditions,the efficiency of the gold recovery system increased to 83.69%and only 57.92%of thiourea decomposition was *** high consumption of thiourea by the leaching system may be attributed to not only adsorption by mineral particles but also catalytic decomposition by some impurities in the ores,such as pyrite and soluble ferric oxide.

Experimental research on inorganic solidified foam for sealing air leakage in coal mines

In order to efficiently seal air leakages and control spontaneous combustion of coal, solidified foam was developed by adding a certain compound additive to fly coal ash and cement as the main materials. It was prepared basing on the foaming characteristic through physical and mechanical system. We studied the effects of the different types of foaming agents, the mass ratio of cement to fly ash, and the mass ratio of solid to water and content of cellulose on the performance of solidified foam. The results show that when adding the composite protein, surfactant and cellulose foaming agents. The cement-fly ash ratio of 0.75:1, the water solid ratio as large as 2:1, and the solidified foam with high properties and density of only 516 kg/m 3 and compressive strength of up to 12.68 MPa were prepared. But the initial setting time, identity and compressive strength may be changed by varying the water solid ratio and/or the additives. We theoretically analyzed the influence mechanism of foam density, compressive strength and water solid ratio. The solidified foam is especially suitable for sealing surface leakage channels and filling the goaf with a wide application prospects.

Using coupled Gross–Pitaevksii(GP)equations,we simulate the output of one-dimensional pulsed atom laser in space *** get two atom laser pulses propagating in opposite directions with one pulsed RF *** with atom laser under gravity,the laser pulse in microgravity shows much slower moving speed,which is suitable to be used for long-term *** also simulate the output flux at different coupling strengths.

Strategy against micrometastasis of epithelial cancer: Detection and elimination

Tumor metastasis is generally agreed to be the major cause of cancer death. Over the last few years, studies of new diagnosis techniques and tumor immunotherapy have made great progress. Recent clinical studies on the occult metastases of breast, lung and colorectal cancer all suggested that the detection of micrometastases in bone marrow is prognostically important and provides substantial evidence of tumor dissemination. On the other hand, two kinds of the mAb-based immunotherapy have been approved for the treatment against epithelial cancer. Monoclonal antibody (mAb) 17-1A for colorectal carcinomas and mAb herceptin for breast cancer both have produced good curative effects. Potential therapeutics based on some antibodies with prominent antitumor activity also has shown obvious clinical effect. These studies indicate that detection of micrometasta-sis in circulatory system and immunotherapy by eliminating metastatic malignant cells suggested a new strategy against the metastatic cancer.

CO emission in the air return corner of the working face in shallow burial mining areas

In shallow burial mining areas, abnormal CO emission and the spontaneous combustion of coal are great threats to safety production at a fully-mechanised working face. In order to prevent the CO concentration in the air return corner from exceeding the critical limit, the paper studied the CO emission regularity and characteristics through theoretical analysis, experimental research and field observation. The results show that the main sources of CO emission were the spontaneous combustion of coal in the goaf and the exhaust emissions coming from underground motorised vehicles. The effect factors of CO emission were also investigated, such as seasonal climate changes, the advancing distance and advancing speed of the working face, the number of underground motorised vehicles and some other factors. In addition to these basic analyses, the influence mechanism of each influence factor was also summarised theoretically. Finally, this study researched the distribution and change law of CO concentration in the fully-mechanised working face in two aspects: controlling the change of monitoring points and time respectively. The research results provide a theoretical basis for preventing the CO concentration from exceeding the critical limit in the air return corner and reducing the possibility of spontaneous combustion of coal. Additionally, the results also provide important theoretical and practical guidelines for protecting miners' health in modern mines featuring high production and high efficiency all over the world.
