AIM: To investigate the protective effect of melatonin on liver after intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. METHODS: One hundred and fifty male Wistar rats, weighing 190-210 g, aged 7 wk, were randomly divided into melatonin exposure group, alcohol solvent control group and normal saline control group. Rats in the melatonin exposure group received intraperitoneal (IP) melatonin (20 mg/kg) 30 min before intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (IR), rats in the alcohol solvent control group received the same concentration and volume of alcohol, and rats in the normal saline control group received the same volume of normal saline. Serum samples were collected from each group 0.5, 1, 6, 12, and 24 h after intestinal IR. Levels of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were measured with an auto-biochemical analyzer. Serum TNF-α was tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (EliSA). Malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver was detected by colorimetric assay. Pathological changes in liver and immunohistochemical straining of ICAM-1 were observed under an optical microscope. RESULTS: The levels of ALT measured at various time points after intestinal IR in the melatonin exposure group were significantly lower than those in the other two control groups (P liver after intestinal IR injury, thus improving the liver function.

AIM:To investigate the morphological characteristics of retinal vessels in patients with different severity of diabetic retinopathy(DR)and in patients with or without diabetic macular edema(DME).METHODS:The 239 eyes of DR patients and 100 eyes of healthy individuals were recruited for the *** severity of DR patients was graded as mild,moderate and severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)according to the international clinical diabetic retinopathy(ICDR)disease severity scale classification,and retinal vascular morphology was quantitatively analyzed in ultra-wide field images using RU-net and transfer learning *** presence of DME was determined by optical coherence tomography(OCT),and differences in vascular morphological characteristics were compared between patients with and without ***:Retinal vessel segmentation using RU-net and transfer learning system had an accuracy of 99%and a Dice metric of *** with the healthy group,the DR group had smaller vessel angles(33.68±3.01 vs 37.78±1.60),smaller fractal dimension(Df)values(1.33±0.05 vs 1.41±0.03),less vessel density(1.12±0.44 vs 2.09±0.36)and fewer vascular branches(206.1±88.8 vs 396.5±91.3),all Pligence retinal vessel segmentation system is used with 99%accuracy,thus providing with relatively satisfactory performance in the evaluation of quantitative vascular *** patients have a tendency of vascular occlusion and *** presence of DME does not compromise the integral retinal vascular pattern.

The similar densities of dark matter and baryons in the universe imply that they may arise from the same ultraviolet model.B-Mesogenesis,which assumes dark matter is charged under the baryon number,attempts to simultaneously explain the origin of baryon asymmetry and dark matter in the *** particular,B-Mesogenesis may induce bottom-baryon decays into invisible or semi-invisible final states,which provide a distinctive signal for probing this *** this work,we systematically study the invisible decays of bottom baryons into dark matter and the semi-invisible decays of bottom baryons into a meson or a photon together with a dark matter *** particular,the fully invisible decay can reveal the stable particles in *** QCD-based frameworks are used to calculate the hadronic matrix elements under the B-Mesogenesis *** estimate the constraints on the Wilson coefficients or the product of some new physics couplings with the Wilson coefficients according to the semi-invisible and invisible decays of bottom baryons detectable at future colliders.

Traditional image-sentence cross-modal retrieval methods usually aim to learn consistent representations of heterogeneous modalities,thereby to search similar instances in one modality according to the query from another modality in *** basic assumption behind these methods is that parallel multi-modal data(i.e.,different modalities of the same example are aligned)can be obtained in *** other words,the image-sentence cross-modal retrieval task is a supervised task with the alignments as ***,in many real-world applications,it is difficult to realign a large amount of parallel data for new scenarios due to the substantial labor costs,leading the non-parallel multi-modal data and existing methods cannot be used *** the other hand,there actually exists auxiliary parallel multi-modal data with similar semantics,which can assist the non-parallel data to learn the consistent ***,in this paper,we aim at“Alignment Efficient Image-Sentence Retrieval”(AEIR),which recurs to the auxiliary parallel image-sentence data as the source domain data,and takes the non-parallel data as the target domain *** single-modal transfer learning,AEIR learns consistent image-sentence cross-modal representations of target domain by transferring the alignments of existing parallel ***,AEIR learns the image-sentence consistent representations in source domain with parallel data,while transferring the alignment knowledge across domains by jointly optimizing a novel designed cross-domain cross-modal metric learning based constraint with intra-modal domain adversarial ***,we can effectively learn the consistent representations for target domain considering both the structure and semantic ***,extensive experiments on different transfer scenarios validate that AEIR can achieve better retrieval results comparing with the baselines.

A new scour countermeasure using solidified slurry for offshore foundation has been proposed *** solidified slurry is pumped to seabed area around foundation for scour protection or pumped into the developed scour holes for scour repair as the fluidized material solidifies *** the pumping operation and solidification,the engineering behaviors of solidified slurry require to be considered synthetically for the reliable application in scour repair and protection of ocean engineering such as the pumpability related flow value,flow diffusion behavior related rheological property,anti-scour performance related retention rate in solidification and bearing capacity related strength property after *** this study,a series of laboratory tests are conducted to investigate the effects of mix proportion(initial water content and binder content)on the flow value,rheological properties,density,retention rate of solidified slurry and unconfined compressive strength(UCS).The results reveal that the flow value increases with the water content and decreases with the binder *** the solidified slurry exhibits Bingham plastic behavior when the shear rate is larger than 5 s^(-1).The Bingham model has been employed to fit the rheology test results,and empirical formulas for obtaining the density,yield stress and viscosity are established,providing scientific support for the numerical assessment of flow and diffusion of solidified *** rate of solidified slurry decreases with the water flow velocity and flow value,which means the pumpability of solidified slurry is contrary to anti-scour *** unconfined compressive strength after solidification reduces as the water content increases and binder content decreases.A design and application procedure of solidified soil for scour repair and protection is also proposed for engineering reference.

Automatic modulation recognition(AMR)of radiation source signals is a research focus in the field of cognitive ***,the AMR of radiation source signals at low SNRs still faces a great ***,the AMR method of radiation source signals based on two-dimensional data matrix and improved residual neural network is proposed in this ***,the time series of the radiation source signals are reconstructed into two-dimensional data matrix,which greatly simplifies the signal preprocessing ***,the depthwise convolution and large-size convolutional kernels based residual neural network(DLRNet)is proposed to improve the feature extraction capability of the AMR ***,the model performs feature extraction and classification on the two-dimensional data matrix to obtain the recognition vector that represents the signal modulation *** analysis and simulation results show that the AMR method based on two-dimensional data matrix and improved residual network can significantly improve the accuracy of the AMR *** recognition accuracy of the proposed method maintains a high level greater than 90% even at -14 dB SNR.
