The Tibetan Plateau(TP)is the headwater of the Yangtze,Yellow,and the transboundary Yarlung Zangbo,Lancang,and Nujiang Rivers,providing essential and pristine freshwater to around 1.6 billion people in Southeast and South ***,the temperature rise TP has experienced is almost three times that of the global warming *** rising temperature has resulted in glacier retreat,snow cover reduction,permafrost layer thawing,and so *** we show,based on the longest observed streamflow data available for the region so far,that changing climatic conditions in the TP already had significant impacts on the streamflow in the headwater basins in the *** analysis indicated that the annual average temperature in the headwater basins of these five major rivers has been rising on a trend averaging 0.38℃-decade^(-1) since 1998,almost triple the rate before 1998,and the change of streamflow has been predominantly impacted by precipitation in these headwater *** a result,streamflow in the Yangtze,Yarlung Zangbo,Lancang,and Nujiang River headwater areas is on a decreasing trend with a reduction of flow ranging from 3.0-10^(9)-5.9-10^(9) m^(3)·decade^(-1)(-9.12%to-16.89%per decade)since *** increased precipitation in the Tangnahai(TNH)and Lanzhou(LZ)Basins contributed to the increase of their streamflows at 8.04%and 14.29%per decade,*** the increased streamflow in the headwater basins of the Yellow River may ease some of the water resources concerns,the decreasing trend of streamflow in the headwater areas of the southeastern TP region since 1998 could lead to a water crisis in transboundary river basins for billions of people in Southeast and South Asia.

BACKGROUND The common cause of sodium nitrite poisoning has shifted from previous accidental intoxication by exposure or ingestion of contaminated water and food to recent alarming intentional intoxication as an employed method of suicide/*** subsequent formation of methemoglobin(MetHb)restricts oxygen transport and utilization in the body,resulting in functional hypoxia at the tissue *** clinical practice,a mismatch of cyanotic appearance and oxygen partial pressure usually contributes to the identification of *** recognition of characteristic mismatch and accurate diagnosis of sodium nitrite poisoning are prerequisites for the implementation of standardized systemic *** SUMMARY A pregnant woman was admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University due to consciousness disorders and drowsiness 2 h before ***,she developed vomiting and cyanotic *** woman underwent orotracheal intubation,invasive mechanical ventilation(IMV),and correction of internal environment disturbance in the *** premature infant was born with a higher-than-normal MetHb level of 3.3%,and received detoxification with methylene blue and vitamin C,supplemental vitamin K1,an infusion of fresh frozen plasma,as well as respiratory support via orotracheal intubation and *** day 3 after admission,the puerpera regained consciousness,evacuated the IMV,and resumed enteral *** was then transferred to the maternity ward 24 h *** day 7 after admission,the woman recovered and was discharged without any *** MetHb can cross through the placental *** of MetHb both reflects severity of the sodium nitrite poisoning and serves as feedback on therapeutic effectiveness.

物理忆阻器具有不对称的紧磁滞回线,为了更加简便地模拟物理忆阻器的不对称紧磁滞曲线,本文提出了一种含有偏置电压源的分数阶二极管桥忆阻器模型,其具有可连续调控磁滞回线的能力.首先,结合分数阶微积分理论,建立了含有偏置电压源的二极管桥忆阻器的分数阶模型,并对其电气特性进行分析.其次,将其与Jerk混沌电路相融合,建立了含有偏置电压源的非齐次分数阶忆阻混沌电路模型,研究了偏置电压对其系统动态行为的影响.再次,在PSpice中搭建了分数阶的等效电路模型,并对其进行电路仿真验证,实验结果与数值仿真基本一致.最后,在Lab VIEW中完成了电路实验,验证了理论分析的正确性与可行性.结果表明,含有偏置电压源的分数阶忆阻器,可以通过调控偏置电压源的电压,连续获得不对称紧磁滞回线.随着偏置电源电压的改变,非齐次分数阶忆阻混沌系统由于对称性的破环,表现出由倍周期分岔进入混沌的行为.

AIM:To observe the effects of N-acetylserotonin(NAS)administration on retinal ischemia-reperfusion(RIR)injury in rats and explore the underlying mechanisms involving the high mobility group box 1(HMGB1)/receptor for advanced glycation end-products(RAGE)/nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling ***:A rat model of RIR was developed by increasing the pressure of the anterior chamber of the *** male Sprague Dawley were randomly divided into five groups:sham group(n=8),RIR group(n=28),RIR+NAS group(n=28),RIR+FPS-ZM1 group(n=8)and RIR+NAS+FPS-ZM1 group(n=8).The therapeutic effects of NAS were examined by hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining,and retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)*** expression of interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β),HMGB1,RAGE,and nod-like receptor 3(NLRP3)proteins and the phosphorylation of nuclear factorkappa B(p-NF-κB)were analyzed by immunohistochemistry staining and Western blot *** expression of HMGB1 protein was also detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).RESULTS:H&E staining results showed that NAS significantly reduced retinal edema and increased the number of RGCs in RIR *** NAS therapy,the HMGB1 and RAGE expression decreased significantly,and the activation of the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway was antagonized along with the inhibition of p-NF-κB and NLRP3 protein ***,NAS exhibited an anti-inflammatory effect by reducing IL-1β*** inhibitory of RAGE binding to HMGB1 by RAGE inhibitor FPS-ZM1 led to a significant decrease of p-NF-κB and NLRP3 expression,so as to the IL-1βexpression and retinal edema,accompanied by an increase of RGCs in RIR ***:NAS may exhibit a neuroprotective effect against RIR via the HMGB1/RAGE/NF-κB signaling pathway,which may be a useful therapeutic target for retinal disease.

Topological phases and edge modes of an uneven ladder

We investigate the topological properties of a two-chain quantum ladder with uneven legs,i.e.,the two chains differ in their periods by a factor of *** an uneven ladder presents rich band structures classified by the closure of either direct or indirect *** also provides opportunities to explore fundamental concepts concerning band topology and edge modes,including the difference of intracellular and intercellular Zak phases,and the role of the inversion symmetry(IS).We calculate the Zak phases of the two kinds and find excellent agreement with the dipole moment and extra charge *** also find that configurations with IS feature a pair of degenerate two-side edge modes emerging as the closure of the direct bandgap,while configurations without IS feature one-side edge modes emerging as not only the closure of both direct and indirect bandgaps but also within the band ***,by projecting to the two sublattices,we find that the effective Bloch Hamiltonian corresponds to that of a generalized Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model or the Rice–Mele model whose hopping amplitudes depend on the *** this way,the topological phases can be efficiently extracted through winding *** propose that uneven ladders can be realized by spin-dependent optical lattices and their rich topological characteristics can be examined by near future experiments.
