●Multiple evanescent white dot syndrome(MEWDS)is a rare fundus disease,characterized by acute vision loss and visual field *** previous studies have explained the possible pathogenesis and clinical features of primary ***,as the number of reported cases increases,secondary MEWDS occurs in other related retinal diseases and injuries,exhibiting some special *** associated retinal diseases include multifocal choroiditis/punctate inner choroidopathy(MFC/PIC),acute zonal occult outer retinopathy,best vitelliform macular dystrophy,pseudoxanthoma elasticum,and ocular *** related retinal injury is laser photocoagulation,surgery,and *** primary MEWDS often have a self-limiting course,secondary MEWDS may require treatment in some cases,according to the severity of concomitant diseases and ***,MEWDS secondary to MFC/PIC that is prone to forming choroidal neovascularization and focal choroidal excavation,needs positive treatment with *** possible underlying pathogenesis of secondary MEWDS is the exposure of choroidal antigen after the disruption of Bruch’s *** MEWDS-related features in secondary MEWDS are still evanescent under most *** prognosis and treatment depend on the severity of *** studies propose that the etiology is associated with immune factors,including viral infection,inflammation in choroid and Bruch’s membrane,and antigen exposure caused by retinal and/or choroidal *** pathogenic studies should be conducted in the *** diagnosis for secondary MEWDS could benefit patients in aspects of management and prognosis.

Safety and efficacy of a programmed cell death 1 inhibitor combined with oxaliplatin plus S-1 in patients with Borrmann large type III and IV gastric cancers

BACKgROUND gastric cancer(gC)is the fifth most common and the fourth most lethal malignant tumour in the *** patients are already in the advanced stage when they are diagnosed,which also leads to poor overall *** effect of posto-perative adjuvant chemotherapy for advanced gC is unsatisfactory with a high rate of distant metastasis and local *** To investigate the safety and efficacy of a programmed cell death 1(PD-1)inhibitor combined with oxaliplatin and S-1(SOX)in the treatment of Borrmann large type III and IV *** A retrospective analysis(IRB-2022-371)was performed on 89 patients with Borrmann large type III and IV gCs who received neoadjuvant therapy(NAT)from January 2020 to December *** to the different neoadjuvant treatment regimens,the patients were divided into the SOX group(61 patients)and the PD-1+SOX(P-SOX)group(28 patients).RESULTS The pathological response(tumor regression grade 0/1)in the P-SOX group was significantly higher than that in the SOX group(42.86%vs 18.03%,P=0.013).The incidence of ypN0 in the P-SOX group was higher than that in the SOX group(39.29%vs 19.67%,P=0.05).The use of PD-1 inhibitors was an independent factor affecting tumor regression ***,the use of PD-1 did not increase postoperative complications or the adverse effects of *** A PD-1 inhibitor combined with SOX could significantly improve the rate of tumour regression during NAT for patients with Borrmann large type III and IV gCs.

To promote charge transfer and separation for efficient photocatalysis,a direct Z-scheme heterostructure was constructed by coupling polymeric carbon nitride(PCN) and WO_(3).Interestingly,the obtained PCN/WO_(3)Z-scheme heterostructure could photocataly tic ally produce hydrogen and value-added chemicals(e.g.,formate and acetate) by reforming of plastic polylactic acid(PLA) in alkaline aqueous *** optimizing WO_(3) contents and reaction conditions,the obtained PCN/WO_(3)heterostructure exhibits much increased photocatalytic activity for PLA photoreforming under visible light,with hydrogen evolution rate reaching 402.90 μmol·g~(-1)·h~(-1),which is 3.5 times that of *** is revealed that the Z-scheme charge transfer between PCN and WO_(3) mainly contributes to the promoted charge separation and thus the improved photocatalytic ***,with h+and·OH experimentally evidenced as the predominant active species,a possible reaction pathway for the reforming of PLA into value-added chemicals(e.g.,formate and acetate)over PCN/WO_(3) Z-scheme heterostructure is cleared by monitoring the reaction intermediates and *** work paves a carbon neutrality and scalable route toward the synergistical production of hydrogen and value-added chemicals by utilizing and recycling plastic waste.

TSC prediction and dynamic control of BOF steelmaking with state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning methods

Mathematical(data-driven)models based on state-of-the-art(SOTA)machine learning and deep learning models and data collected from 12,786 heats were established to predict the values of temperature,sample,and carbon(TSC)test,including temperature of molten steel(TSC-Temp),carbon content(TSC-C)and phosphorus content(TSC-P),which made prepa-ration for eliminating the TSC *** maximize the prediction accuracy of the proposed approach,various models with different inputs were implemented and compared,and the best models were applied to the production process of a Hesteel group steelmaking plant in China in the *** number of tabular features(hot metal information,scrap,additives,blowing practices,and preset values)was expanded,and time series(off-gas profiles and blowing practice curves)that could reflect the entire steelmaking process were introduced as ***,the latest machine learning models(LightgBM,CatBoost,TabNet,and NODE)were used to make predictions with tabular features,and the best coefficient of determination R^(2)values obtained for TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp predictions were 0.435(LightgBM),0.857(Cat-Boost)and 0.678(LightgBM),respectively,which were higher than those of classic models(backpropagation and support vector machine).Then,making predictions was performed by using SOTA time series regression models(SCINet,DLinear,Informer,and MLSTM-FCN)with original time series,SOTA image regression models(NesT,CaiT,ResNeXt,and googLeNet)with resized time series,and the proposed Concatenate-Model and Parallel-Model with both tabular features and time *** optimization and comparisons,it was finally determined that the Concatenate-Model with MLSTM-FCN,SCINet and Informer as feature extractors performed the best,and its R^(2)values for predicting TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp reached 0.470,0.858 and 0.710,*** field test accuracies for TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp were 0.459,0.850 and 0.685,respectively.A related importance analysis was carri

Background:g-protein coupled receptors(gPCRs)are recognized as attractive targets for drug ***,it remains poorly understood how gPCRs,except for a few chemokine receptors,regulate the progression of liver ***,we aimed to reveal the role of gPR65,a proton-sensing receptor,in liver fibrosis and to elucidate the underlying ***:The expression level of gPR65 was evaluated in both human and mouse fibrotic ***,gpr65-deficient mice were treated with either bile duct ligation(BDL)for 21 d or carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)for 8 weeks to investigate the role of gPR65 in liver fibrosis.A combination of experimental approaches,including Western blotting,quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),confocal microscopy and rescue studies,were used to explore the underlying mechanisms of gPR65’s action in liver ***,the therapeutic potential of gPR65 inhibitor in the development of liver fibrosis was ***:We found that hepatic macrophage(HM)-enriched gPR65 was upregulated in both human and mouse fibrotic ***,knockout of gpr65 significantly alleviated BDL-and CCl4-induced liver inflammation,injury and fibrosis in vivo,and mouse bone marrow transplantation(BMT)experiments further demonstrated that the protective effect of gpr65knockout is primarily mediated by bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMMs).Additionally,in vitro data demonstrated that gpr65 silencing and gPR65 antagonist inhibited,while gPR65 overexpression and application of gPR65 endogenous and exogenous agonists enhanced the expression and release of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and transforming growth factor-β(TgF-β),all of which subsequently promoted the activation of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)and the damage of hepatocytes(HCs).Mechanistically,gPR65 overexpression,the acidic pH and gPR65 exogenous agonist induced up-regulation of

Neutron resonance imaging(NRI)has recently emerged as an appealing technique for neutron *** complexity surpasses that of conventional transmission imaging,as it requires a high demand for both a neutron source and ***,the progression of NRI technology has been sluggish since its inception in the 1980s,particularly considering the limited studies analyzing the neutron energy range above *** white neutron source(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)provides favorable beam conditions for the development of the NRI technique over a wide neutron energy range from eV to ***-sensitive microchannel plates(MCP)have emerged as a cutting-edge tool in the field of neutron detection owing to their high temporal and spatial resolutions,high detection efficiency,and low *** this study,we report the development of a 10B-doped MCP detector,along with its associated electronics,data processing system,and NRI experiments at the *** heavy elements such as gold,silver,tungsten,and indium can be easily identified in the transmission images by their characteristic resonance peaks in the 1–100 eV energy range;the more difficult medium-weight elements such as iron,copper,and aluminum with resonance peaks in the 1–100 keV energy range can also be *** particular,results in the neutron energy range of dozens of keV(Aluminum)are reported here for the first time.
