We present here the development of cholesterol(Chol)-modified dendrimer system for targeted chemotherapy of folate(FA)receptor-expressing cancer cells. In our study, poly(amidoamine)(PAMAM) dendrimers of generation 5(G5) were functionalized stepby-step with Chol, fluorescein isothiocyanate(FI), and FA via a poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG) spacer(PEG-FA), and then acetamide to shield their remaining surface amines. The synthesized ***-Chol-FI-PEG-FA(for short, G5-CFPF) dendrimers were utilized to encapsulate 10-hydroxycamptothecin(HCP), a hydrophobic anticancer drug. We find that each G5-CFPF dendrimer can encapsulate 13.8 HCP molecules. The complexes show a slower release profiles of HCP in a pH-dependent manner than the control complexes formed using the same dendrimers without Chol under the same conditions. Thanks to the targeting role played by FA, the complexes display a specific inhibition efficacy to FA receptor-expressing cervical cancer cells. The designed Chol-modified dendrimers may be adopted as a promising carrier for application in targeted cancer therapy.

The effect of F,K,and Na on the solid phase reaction of the Baiyunebo iron ore was investigated by differential thermal analysis （DTA） and X-ray diffraction（XRD）.It has been identified that alkaline elements K and Na in the Baiyunebo ore instigate the formation of low melting point compounds Na2SiO3 and Na2O·Fe2O3 and the generation of molten state in the solid phase *** F in the Baiyunebo ore facilitates the formation of cuspidine compound 3CaO·2SiO2·CaF2 in the solid phase *** cuspidine compound is kept in solid as one of the final products through the entire sintering process due to its high melting *** the sintering process,CaF2and SiO2 react with CaO first and form 3CaO·2SiO2·CaF2 and 3CaO·2SiO2,so the formation of ferrites,Na2O·Fe2O3,and 2CaO·Fe2O3 is inhibited.

Selenium(Se)is a promising cathode material for lithium batteries due to its high volumetric energy density(2528 Wh·L^(-1)).However,its practical application is restricted by rapid capacity fading resulting from the shuttle effect and slow reaction ***,a N/Co co-doped three-dimensional porous carbon(Co-NC)is prepared and used as Se host for lithium-selenium batteries(LSeBs).Co-NC displays a high specific surface area of1201 m^(2)·g^(-1)which benefits from N and Co *** N and Co not only enhance the electrical conductivity of porous carbon but also possess an adsorption effect on ***,Se/Co-NC electrode exhibits excellent cycling performance(a stable specific capacity of 480 mAh·g^(-1)after 200 cycles at 1.0C with a much lowcapacity decay of 0.028%per cycle)and outstanding rate performance(a high specific capacity of 414 mAh·g^(-1)at5.0C).This work inspires highly stable Se cathode design for LSeBs.

In recent years, there have been a number of reports on the phenomenon in which ferric iron（Fe（Ⅲ）） is reduced to ferrous iron [Fe（Ⅱ）] in anaerobic environments, accompanied by simultaneous oxidation of ammonia to NO2-, NO3-, or ***, studies on the relevant reaction characteristics and mechanisms are rare. Recently, in research on the effect of Fe（Ⅲ） on the activity of Anammox sludge, excess ammonia oxidization has also been ***, in the present study, Fe（Ⅲ） was used to serve as the electron acceptor instead of NO2-,and the feasibility and characteristics of Anammox coupled to Fe（Ⅲ） reduction（termed Feammox） were investigated. After 160 days of cultivation, the conversion rate of ammonia in the reactor was above 80%, accompanied by the production of a large amount of NO3-and a small amount of NO2-. The total nitrogen removal rate was up to 71.8%. Furthermore,quantities of Fe（Ⅱ） were detected in the sludge fluorescence in situ hybridization（FISH） and denaturated gradient gel electrophoresis（DGGE） analyses further revealed that in the sludge, some Anammox bacteria were retained, and some microbes were enriched during the acclimatization process. We thus deduced that in Anammox sludge, Fe（Ⅲ） reduction takes place together with ammonia oxidation to NO2-and NO3-along with the Anammox process.

The 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three scientists who have made great contributions in discovery of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). The LIBs with graphite as anode have dominated the rechargeable battery markets of portable electronics and electric vehicles(EVs). For the next-generation batteries, high energy density is the important trend of development. Thus lithium metal is considered as the most promising anode owing to its highest theoretical capacity and the lowest electrochemical potential. However, the severe safety concerns hinder its practical application. The uncontrollable growth of lithium dendrites leads to capacity decay, low Coulombic efficiency, possible short circuit and thermal runaway. In this perspective, various methods to protect Li metal anode have been analyzed. The development of solid-state electrolytes(SSEs) and the role of lithium anode in SSEs are discussed. Several new strategies for improving the safety of Li metal based batteries are proposed to realize the real market-oriented security applications.

This paper deals with an in-line network security processor （NSP） design that implements the Intemet Protocol Security （IPSec） protocol processing for the 10 Gbps Ethernet. The 10 Gbps high speed data transfer, the IPSec processing in- cluding the crypto-operation, the database query, and IPSec header processing are integrated in the design. The in-line NSP is implemented using 65 nm CMOS technology and the layout area is 2.5 mm^3 mm with 360 million gates. A configurable crossbar data transfer skeleton implementing an iSLIP scheduling algorithm is proposed, which enables simultaneous data transfer between the heterogeneous multiple cores. There are, in addition, a high speed input/output data buffering mechanism and design of high performance hardware structures for modules, wherein the transfer efficiency and the resource utilization are maximized and the IPSec protocol processing achieves 10 Gbps line speed. A high speed and low power hardware look-up method is proposed, which effectively reduces the area and power dissipation. The post simulation results demonstrate that the design gives a peak throughput for the Authentication Header （AH） transport mode of 10.06 Gbps with the average test packet length of 512 bytes under the clock rate of 250 MHz, and power dissipation less than 1 W is obtained. An FPGA prototype is constructed to verify the function of the design. A test bench is being set up for performance and function verification.

Gallbladder cancer comprises mostly of biliary tract malig- nancy which is the seventh most common digestive system cancers. The prognosis of gallbladder cancer is poor, whose five-year survival was reported 5%-10%. Many risk factors for gallbladder cancer have been identified in plenty of studies. There has been a definitive association between gallstones and gallbladder cancer. Gallbladder polyps and bacterial-induced chronic inflammation are also established risk factors for gallbladder cancer. Some specific occupa- tional exposures, petroleum refining for example, increase the incidence of gallbladder cancer. Other associated risk factors include sex, age, postmenopausal status, cigarette smoking and so on, most of which might cause the mucosal lesion of gallbladder. Tea, which derived from the leaves of the plant Camellia sinensis, is one of the most popular bev- erages worldly. The green popular. Numerous in vitro tea and black tea are the most and animal studies have proved that the compounds in tea, especially polyphenols, play a significant antimutagenic role in various cancer. Up to date, there have been several epidemiologic studies on the asso- ciation between tea and gallbladder cancer, which are not consistent or even contradictory. There has been no system-atic meta-analysis to elucidate the role of tea consumption on gallbladder cancer so far. Therefore, we carry out this meta-analysis to evaluate the association.

The accumulation of excessive reactive oxygen species can exacerbate any injury of retinal tissue because free radicals can trigger lipid peroxidation,protein damage and DNA *** oxidative stress is associated with the common pathological process of many eye diseases,such as glaucoma,diabetic retinopathy and ischemic optic *** studies have demonstrated that Lycium barbarum polysaccharides(LBP)protects against oxidative injury in numerous cells and *** the model of hypoxia we used cultured retinal ganglion cells and induced hypoxia by incubating with 200μM cobalt chloride(CoCl2)for 24 *** investigate the protective effect of LBP and its mechanism of action against oxidative stress injury,the retinal tissue was pretreated with 0.5 mg/mL LBP for 24 *** results of flow cytometric analysis showed LBP could effectively reduce the CoCl2-induced retinal ganglion cell apoptosis,inhibited the generation of reactive oxygen species and the reduction of mitochondrial membrane *** findings suggested that LBP could protect retinal ganglion cells from CoCl2-induced apoptosis by reducing mitochondrial membrane potential and reactive oxygen species.
