The research on the coupling method of non-spherical granular materials and fluids aims to predict the particle-fluid interaction in this study.A coupling method based on superquadric elements is developed to describe the interaction between non-spherical solid particles and *** discrete element method(DEM)and the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)are adopted to simulate granular materials and *** repulsive force model is adopted to calculate the coupling force and then a contact detection method is established for the interaction between the superquadric element and the fluid *** contact detection method captures the shape of superquadric element and calculates the distance from the fluid particle to the surface of superquadric *** cases focusing on the coupling force model,energy transfer,and large-scale calculations have been implemented to verify the validity of the proposed coupling *** coupling force model accurately represents the water entry process of a spherical solid particle,and reasonably reflects the difference of solid particles with different *** the water entry process of multiple solid particles,the total energy of the water entry process of multiple solid particles tends to be *** collapse process of the partially submerged granular column is simulated and analyzed under different ***,this coupling method is suitable to simulate fluid-particle systems containing solid particles with multiple shapes.

This study aimed to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of TixZrVNb(x=1,1.5,2)refractory high-entropy alloys at room and elevated *** TiZrVNb alloy consisted of the body-centered cubic(bcc)matrix with a small amount of V2Zr *** Ti1.5ZrVNb and Ti2ZrVNb alloys exhibited a single-phase bcc *** room temperature,the tensile ductility of the as-cast alloys increased from 3.5%to 12.3%with the increase in the Ti *** TixZrVNb alloys exhibited high yield strength at 600°C,and the ultimate yield strength was more than 900 *** occurred at 800°C,but the ultimate yield strength could still exceed 200 ***,the TixZrVNb alloys displayed low densities but high specific yield strengths(SYSs).The lowest density of TixZrVNb alloys was only 6.12 g/cm^3,but the SYS could reach about 180 MPa·cm^3·g^−1,which is better than those of most reported high-entropy alloys(HEAs).

We designed a novel Co-free AlCrFe2Ni2Ti0.5 high-entropy alloy(HEA)that features an excellent combination of strength and ductility in this *** as-cast AlCrFe2Ni2Ti0.5 alloy showed equiaxed grains undergoing spinodal decomposition,which consisted of ultrafine-grained laminated body-centered cubic(bcc)phases and an ordered body-centered cubic(b2)phase,and some precipitates embedded in the b2 *** bcc and b2 phases also feature a coherent *** unique structure impedes mobile dislocations and hinders the formation of cracks,thereby giving the AlCrFe2Ni2Ti0.5 HEA both high strength and *** room temperature,the as-cast AlCrFe2Ni2Ti0.5 alloy exhibited a compressive yield strength of 1714 MPa,an ultimate strength of 3307 MPa,and an elongation of 43%.These mechanical properties are superior to those of most reported HEAs.

Depression is a prevalent mental disorder that is associated with aging and contributes to increased mortality and *** overall prevalence of geriatric depression with clinically significant symptoms is currently on the *** studies have demonstrated that altered expressions of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)in the brain affect neurodevelopment and manifest modulating functions during the ***,most lncRNAs have not yet been ***,we analyzed the transcriptome of dysregulated lncRNAs to reveal their expressions in a mouse model exhibiting depressive-like behaviors,as well as their corresponding response following antidepressant fluoxetine treatment.A chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)mouse model was applied.A sixweek fluoxetine intervention in CUMS-induced mice attenuated depressive-like *** addition,differential expression analysis of lncRNAs was performed following RNA-sequencing.A total of 282 lncRNAs(134 up-regulated and 148 down-regulated)were differentially expressed in CUMS-induced mice relative to non-stressed counterparts(Pluoxetine *** Ontology(GO)analyses showed an association between significantly dysregulated lncRNAs and protein binding,oxygen binding,and transport activity,while the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)analysis indicated that these dysregulated lncRNAs might be involved in inflammatory response *** effectively ameliorated the symptoms of depression in CUMS-induced mice by regulating the expression of lncRNAs in the *** findings herein provide valuable insights into the potential mechanism underlying depression in elderly people.

AIM: To assess the clinical outcomes of pre-, pro-and synbiotics therapy in patients with acute pancreatitis. METHODS: The databases including Medline, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science and Chinese Biomedicine Database were searched for all relevant randomized controlled trials that studied the effects of pre-, pro- or synbiotics in patients with acute pancreatitis. Main outcome measures were postoperative infections, pancreatic infections, multiple organ failure (MOF), systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), length of hospital stay, antibiotic therapy and mortality. RESULTS: Seven randomized studies with 559 acute pancreatic patients were included. Pre-, pro-or synbiot-ics treatment showed no influence on the incidence of postoperative infections [odds ratios (OR) 0.30, 95% conf idence interval (CI): 0.09-1.02, P = 0.05], pancre- atic infection (OR 0.50, 95% CI: 0.12-2.17, P = 0.36), MOF (OR 0.88, 95% CI: 0.35-2.21, P = 0.79) and SIRS (OR 0.78, 95% CI: 0.20-2.98, P = 0.71). There were also no signif icant differences in the length of antibiotic therapy (OR 0.75, 95% CI: 0.50-1.14, P = 0.18) and the mortality (OR 0.75, 95% CI: 0.25-2.24, P = 0.61). However, Pre-, pro-or synbiotics treatment was associ- ated with a reduced length of hospital stay (OR -3.87, 95% CI: -6.20 to -1.54, P = 0.001). When stratifying for the severity of acute pancreatitis, the main results were similar. CONCluSION: Pre-, pro-or synbiotics treatment shows no significant influence on patients with acute pancreatitis. There is a lack of evidence to support the use of probiotics/synbiotics in this area.

Prussian blue nanoparticles (PB NPs) have exhibited favorable anti-inflammatory effects in animal models,and have been proved to mimic three antioxidant enzymes: peroxidase,catalase,and superoxide *** the oxidase-like activity of PB NPs has not been *** this work,PB NPs with outstanding oxidase-like activity were demonstrated by virtue of the colorimetric substrate o-phenylenediamine (OPD).Interestingly,based on the oxidase-like activity,PB NPs can also catalytically oxidize vitamin B1 (VB1) to strongly fluorescent product in the physiological environment without the addition of other *** that VB1 has no toxicity and carcinogenicity comparing with OPD,a novel PB NPs-VB1 fluorescent sensor was further developed for simple,nontoxic,and rapid detection of ascorbic acid (AA) in foods and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in human serum samples by taking advantage of the reduction of PB NPs to Prussian White by AA or enzymatic hydrolysate of ALP and ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (AA2P);leading to the decrease of fluorescence *** extremely low detection limits of 44 nmol/L for AA and 72 mU/L for ALP as well as the excellent applicability in real samples were both ***,we envision that such a novel fluorescent probe would be potentially applied in the food analysis and clinic diagnosis fields.

Mutually unbiased bases (MUBs) and symmetric informationally complete (SIC) positive operator-valued measurements (POVMs) are two related topics in quantum information theory. They are generalized to mutually unbiased measurements (MUMs) and general symmetric informationally complete (GSIC) measurements, respectively, that are both not necessarily rank 1. We study the quantum separability problem by using these measurements and present separability criteria for bipartite systems with arbitrary dimensions and multipartite systems of multi-level subsystems. These criteria are proved to be more effective than previous criteria especially when the dimensions of the subsystems are different. Furthermore, full quantum state tomography is not needed when these criteria are implemented in experiment.
