Superhydrophobic coatings with high non-wetting properties are widely applied in anti-icing ***,the micro-nanostructures on the surfaces of superhydrophobic coatings are fragile under external forces,resulting in reduced ***,mechanical strength and durability play a crucial role in the utilization of superhydrophobic *** this study,we employed a two-step spraying method to fabricate superhydrophobic FEVE-based coatings with exceptional mechanical durability,utilizing fluorinated TiO_(2)nanoparticles and fluorinated Al_(2)O_(3)microwhiskers as the *** composite coating exhibited commendable non-wetting properties,displaying a contact angle of 164.84°and a sliding angle of 4.3°.On this basis,the stability of coatings was significantly improved due to the interlocking effect of Al_(2)O_(3)*** 500 tape peeling cycles,500 sandpaper abrasion tests,and 50 kg falling sand impact tests,the coatings retained superhydrophobicity,exhibiting excellent durability and application ***,the ice adhesion strength on the coatings was measured at only 65.4 kPa,while the icing delay time reached 271.8 s at-15℃.In addition,throughout 500 freezing/melting cycles,statistical analysis revealed that the superhydrophobic coatings exhibited a freezing initiation temperature as low as-17.25℃.

The human wrist, a complex articulation of skeletal muscles and two-carpal rows, substantially contributes to improvements in maneuverability by agilely performing three-degree-of-freedom(3-DOF) orienting tasks and regulating stiffness according to variations in interaction forces. However, few soft robotic wrists simultaneously demonstrate dexterous 3-DOF motion and variable stiffness;in addition, they do not fully consider a soft-rigid hybrid structure of integrated muscles and two carpal *** this study, we developed a soft-rigid hybrid structure to design a biomimetic soft robotic wrist(BSRW) that is capable of rotating in the x and y directions, twisting around the z-axis, and possessing stiffness-tunable capacity. To actuate the BSRW, a lightweight soft-ring-reinforced bellows-type pneumatic actuator(SRBPA) with large axial, linear deformation(η_(lcmax)=70.6%,η_(lemax)=54.3%) and small radial expansion(η_(demax)=3.7%) is designed to mimic the motion of skeletal muscles. To represent the function of two-carpal rows, a compact particle-jamming joint(PJJ) that combines particles with a membrane-covered ballsocket mechanism is developed to achieve various 3-DOF motions and high axial load-carrying capacity(>60 N). By varying the jamming pressure, the stiffness of the PJJ can be adjusted. Finally, a centrally positioned PJJ and six independently actuated SRBPAs, which are in an inclined and antagonistic arrangement, are sandwiched between two rigid plates to form a flexible,stable, and compact BSRW. Such a structure enables the BSRW to have a dexterous 3-DOF motion, high load-carrying ability,and stiffness tunability. Experimental analysis verify 3-DOF motion of BSRW, producing force of 29.6 N and 36 N and torque of2.2 Nm in corresponding rotations. Moreover, the range of rotational angle and stiffness-tuning properties of BSRW are studied by applying jamming pressure to the PJJ. In the organizational setting of marine engineering,a significant number of information security incidents have been arised from the employees’failure to comply with the information security policies(ISPs).This may be treated as a principal-agent problem with moral hazard between the employer and the employee for the practical compliance effort of an employee is not observable without high cost-.On the other hand,according to the deterrence theory,the employer and the employee are inherently self-interested *** is worth examining to what extent the employee is self-interested in the marine ISPs compliance ***,it is important to clarify the proper degree of severity of punishment in terms of the deterrent *** this study,a marine ISPs compliance game model has been proposed to evaluate the deterrence effect of punishment on the non-compliance behavior of employee *** is found that in a non-punishment contract,the employee will decline to comply with the marine ISPs;but in a punishment contract,appropriate punishment will lead her to select the marine ISPs compliance effort level expected by the employer,and cause no potential backfire effect.

Biofoam products have attracted considerable attention lately because there is a growing demand for green/sustainable *** this end,various biobased foams have either been developed or are currently in development,e.g.,bio-based polyurethanes(PUs),polylactic acid(PLA),starch,and polyhydroxyalkanotates(PHAs).Indeed,significant progress has been made;however,chal-lenges still persist,for example,biobased foam products have poor processability,inferior com-patibility,thermal and strength *** this review,we focus on five biofoam products:namely bio-based PUs,PLA,starch,PHAs,and cellulose biofoam products,along with their prop-erties and performance,as well as their manufacturing *** efforts are still needed to unlock the full potential of these bio-based products and meet the goal of complementing and gradually replacing some of their fossil-based ***,the challenges,as well as arising opportunities of future research directions are discussed.

Exploration of single molecular species synchronously featured by long excitation/emission wavelength, accurate diagnosis, and effective therapy, remains supremely appealing to implement high-performance cancer phototheranostics. However, those previously established phototheranostic agents are undiversified and stereotyped in terms of structural skeleton, and generally exhibit insufficient phototheranostic outcomes. Herein, we innovatively utilized indanone-condensed thiadiazolo[3,4-g]quinoxaline(ITQ) as electron acceptor to construct novel photosensitizer with second near-infrared(niR-II) emission. Experimental study and theoretical calculation demonstrated that comparing with the counterparts constituting by widely employed niR-II building block benzobisthiadiazole(BBTD) and 6,7-diphenylthiadiazoloquinoxaline(DPTQ), ITQ-based photosensitizer(TITQ) showed superior aggregation-induced emission(AIE) characteristics, much stronger type-I reactive oxygen species(ROS) production, and prominent photothermal conversion capacity. Furthermore, TITQ nanoparticles with excellent biocompatibility were capable of effectively accumulating in the tumor site and visualizing tumor through fluorescence-photoacoustic-photothermal trimodal imaging with highly spatiotemporal resolution, and completely eliminating tumor by type-I photodynamic-photothermal therapy.

The present study explores the physical and acoustic characteristics of fine sand and clay in novel seabed marine sediments from of Pakistan coastline of the Arabian *** measured physical parameters included mean grain size,mass density,bulk density,salinity,porosity,permeability,pore size and mineralogical *** properties,including sound speed and attenuation,in the high frequency range of 90-170 kHz were analyzed.A controlled laboratory setup with the acoustic transmission method and Fourier transform techniques was utilized to examine the sound propagation and absorption of novel seabed *** standard deviation of mean sound speed in fresh water was 0.75 m/s,and attenuation was observed in the range of 0.43 to 0.61 dB/*** mean sound velocity in sand and clay varied from 1706 to 1709 m/s and 1602 to 1608 m/s,*** average attenuation was observed at 80 to 93 dB/m in sandy sediments and from 31.8 to 38.6 dB/m in clayey *** velocity variation within sandy sediment is low,consistent with expected results,and smaller than the predicted ***,clay sediment exhibited a positive linear correlation and low sound speed *** increased linearly with frequency for both ***,the laboratory results were validated by using the Biot−Stoll *** dispersion of sound speed in sandy and clayey sediments was consistent with the predictions of the Biot−Stoll *** attenuation aligned more with Biot−Stoll model predictions due to improved permeability,tortuosity and pore size parameter fitting.

A key challenge is using bionic mechanisms to enhance aerodynamic performance of hover-capable flapping wing micro air vehicle(FWMAV).This paper presented a new lift system with high lift and aerodynamic efficiency,which use a hummingbird as a bionic *** new lift system is able to effectively utilize the high lift mechanism of hummingbirds,and this study innovatively utilizes elastic energy storage elements and installs them at the wing root to help improve aerodynamic performance.A flapping angle of 154°is achieved through the optimization of the flapping mechanism *** optimized wing shape and parameters are obtained through experimental studies on the ***,the max net lift generated is 17.6%of the flapping wing vehicle’s ***,energy is stored and released periodically during the flapping cycle,by imitating the musculoskeletal system at the wing roots of hummingbirds,thereby improving the energy utilization rate of the FWMAV and reducing power consumption by 4.5%under the same ***,strength verification and modal analyses are conducted on the flapping mechanism,and the weight of the flapping mechanism is reduced through the analysis and testing of different *** results show that the lift system can generate a stable lift of 31.98 g with a wingspan of 175 mm,while the lift system weighs only 10.5 g,providing aerodynamic conditions suitable for high maneuverability flight of FWMAVs.
