Cardiovascular diseases(CVD)cause one third of all deaths in China,and the number is anticipated to double by *** also greatly result in disability and adjusted life year *** prevalence of CVD has become a new burden for China,due to an aging population,smoking,and changes in dietary habits and *** the largest developing country,China needs to tailor her own national policies for managing CVD with full consideration of epidemiology,local needs,and *** cessation,increased physical activity,control of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia,and maintenance of a“traditional Chinese”diet should be important strategies for reducing the burden of CVD in *** ofﬁcials in China should take their responsibilities to implement educational and preventive measures seriously.

Cardiac arrhythmias are among the most common causes of death in the world. Foundational studies established the critical role of ion channel disorders in arrhythmias, yet defects in ion channels themselves, such as mutations, may not account for all arrhythmias. Despite the progress made in recent decades, the antiarrhythmic drugs currently available have limited effectiveness,and the majority of these drugs can have proarrhythmic effects. This review describes novel knowledge on cellular mechanisms that cause cardiac arrhythmias, focuses on the dysfunction of subcellular organelles and intracellular logistics, and discusses potential strategies and challenges for developing novel, safe and effective treatments for arrhythmias.

New physics beyond the standard model of particles might cause a deviation from the inverse-square law of gravity. In some theories, it is parameterized by a power-law correction to the Newtonian gravitational force, which might originate from the simultaneous exchange of particles or modified and extended theories of gravity. Using the supplementary advances of the perihelia provided by INPOP 10a （IMCCE, France） and EPM2011 （IAA RAS, Russia） ephemerides, we obtain preliminary limits on this correction. In our estimation, we take the Lense-Thirring effect due to the Sun＇s angular momentum into account. The parameters of the power-law correction and the uncertainty of the Sun＇s quadrupole moment are simultaneously estimated with the method of minimizing X2. From INPOP10a, we find N - 0.605 for the exponent of the power-law correction. However, from EPM2011, we find that, although it yields N = 3.001, the estimated uncertainty in the Sun＇s quadrupole moment is much larger than the value given by current observations. This might be caused by the intrinsic nonlinearity in the power-law correction, which makes the estimation very sensitive to the supplementary advances of the perihelia.

Fifteen new meroterpenoids, littoreanoids A—O (1—15), including three rearranged skeleton meroterpenoids (1—3), were isolated from the mangrove-derived fungus Penicillium sp. HLLG-122. Compound 1 was a novel berkeleyacetal-derived meroterpenoid featuring an unusual spirocyclic 2-oxaspiro[5.5]undeca-4,7-dien-3-one moiety. Compound 2 possessed an unusual 6/6/6/6/6 pentacyclic system with a novel 1-hydroxy-7,7-dimethyl-2-oxabicyclo[2.2.2]octan-5-yl acetate moiety. Compound 3 was an unusual 6/7/6/5/6/5/4 polycyclic systems containing a β-lactone ring. The structures and absolute configurations of new compounds were elucidated by HRESIMS, NMR spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, and electronic circular dichroism calculations. The plausible biosynthetic pathways of 1—3 were also proposed. Compounds 6 and 11 exhibited anti-inflammatory effects with IC_(50) values of 30.41 and 19.02 μmol/L, respectively. The bioactive compound 11 was selected for the investigation of preliminary mechanism using molecular docking and Western blotting experiments. Compound 11 could suppress the levels of TNF-α and IL-6, and down-regulate the protein expression of iNOS and COX-2 in RAW 264.7 cells.

Einstein＇s general relativity （GR） has become an inevitable part of deep space missions. According to the International Astronomical Union （IAU） Resolutions which are built in the framework of GR, several time scales and reference systems are recommended to be used in the solar system for control, navigation and scientific op- eration of a spacecraft. Under the IAU Resolutions, we derive the transformations be- tween global and local velocities of an arbitrary orbiter. These transformations might be used in orbit determination with Doppler tracking and prediction of Doppler ob- servables for the spacecraft. Taking the yingHuo-1 Mission as a technical example of future Chinese Mars explorations, we evaluate the significance and contributions of various components in the transformations. The largest contribution of the relativistic parts in the transformations can reach the level of ～ 5 × 10-5 m s^-1. This suggests that, for such a spacecraft like we have assumed, if the accuracy of Doppler tracking is better than ～ 5 × 10-5 m s^-1 then the relativistic parts of the transformations of velocities will be required.

Activation of the heart normally begins in the sinoatrial node(SAN).Electrical impulses spontaneously released by SAN pacemaker cells(SANPCs)trigger the contraction of the ***,the cellular nature of SANPCs remains ***,we report that SANPCs exhibit glutamatergic neuron-like *** comparing the single-cell transcriptome of SANPCs with that of cells from primary visual cortex in mouse,we found that SANPCs co-clustered with cortical *** and cellular imaging confirmed that SANPCs contained key elements of glutamatergic neurotransmitter system,expressing genes encoding glutamate synthesis pathway(G/s),ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors(Grina,Gria3,Grm1 and Grm5)t and glutamate transporters(Slc17a7).SANPCs highly expressed cell markers of glutamatergic neurons(Snap25 and S/-c17a7)t whereas Gad1,a marker of GABAergic neurons,was *** studies revealed that inhibition of glutamate receptors or transporters reduced spontaneous pacing frequency of isolated SAN tissues and spontaneous Ca2+transients frequency in single ***,our work suggests that SANPCs share dominant biological properties with glutamatergic neurons,and the glutamatergic neurotransmitter system may act as an intrinsic regulation module of heart rhythm,which provides a potential intervention target for pacemaker cell-associated arrhythmias.

Cardiac biological pacing(BP)is one of the future directions for bradyarrhythmias ***,cardiac pacemaker cells(PCs)used for cardiac BP are mainly derived from pluripotent stem cells(PSCs).However,the production of high-quality cardiac PCs from PSCs remains a ***,we developed a cardiac PC differentiation strategy by adopting dual PC markers and simulating the developmental route of ***,two PC markers,Shox2 and Hcn4,were selected to establish Shox2:EGFP;Hcn4:mCherry mouse PSC reporter ***,by stepwise guiding naïve PSCs to cardiac PCs following naïve to formative pluripotency transition and manipulating signaling pathways during cardiac PCs differentiation,we designed the FSK method that increased the yield of SHOX2^(+);HCN4^(+)cells with typical PC characteristics,which was 12 and 42 folds higher than that of the embryoid body(EB)and the monolayer M10 methods *** addition,the in vitro cardiac PCs differentiation trajectory was mapped by single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq),which resembled in vivo PCs development,and ZFP503 was verified as a key regulator of cardiac PCs *** PSC-derived cardiac PCs have the potential to drive advances in cardiac BP technology,help with the understanding of PCs(patho)physiology,and benefit drug discovery for PC-related diseases as well.
