FAM53B promotes pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma metastasis by regulating macrophage M2 polarization

A thermo-responsive rewritable plasmonic bio-memory chip has been successfully fabricated on an indium tin oxide(ITO)glass slide by assembling core-satellite gold nanoclusters with different size of gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)using double-strand DNA(dsDNA)*** the prepared 70@DNA20@13 gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)exhibited more stable and greater photothermal conversion *** short time irradiation by 633 nm microbeam laser,every individual AuNCs could be excited and remove the satellite AuNPs on its ***,in the dissociation process of AuNCs with 3−5 satellite,its color would change from yellow to green,which showed more significant reduction in the red channel of the dark-field microscopy(DFM)images and could be defined to state“0”and“1”***,this plasmonic nano bio-memory could transform cyclically its state between 0 and 1 which exhibited excellent rewritable ability.

Multi-Task Learning for Food Identification and Analysis with Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

In this paper, we proposed a multi-task system that can identify dish types, food ingredients, and cooking methods from food images with deep convolutional neural networks. We built up a dataset of 360 classes of different foods with at least 500 images for each class. To reduce the noises of the data, which was collected from the Internet, outlier images were detected and eliminated through a one-class SVM trained with deep convolutional features. We simultaneously trained a dish identifier, a cooking method recognizer, and a multi-label ingredient detector. They share a few low-level layers in the deep network architecture. The proposed framework shows higher accuracy than traditional method with handcrafted features, and the cooking method recognizer and ingredient detector can be applied to dishes which are not included in the training dataset to provide reference information for users.

To reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of plant genetic marker fingerprinting for variety discrimination,it is desirable to identify the optimal marker *** describe a marker combination screening model based on the genetic algorithm(GA)and implemented in a software tool,Loci ***-based variety discrimination power provided the largest optimization space among multiple fitness *** GA parameters,an increase in population size and generation number enlarged optimization depth but also calculation *** algorithm afforded the same optimization depth as GA but vastly increased calculation *** comparison with two other software tools,Loci Scan accommodated missing data,reduced calculation time,and offered more fitness *** large datasets,the sample size of training data exerted the strongest influence on calculation time,whereas the marker size of training data showed no effect,and target marker number had limited effect on analysis speed.

Boundary slip and lubrication mechanisms of organic friction modifiers with effect of surface moisture

Surface moisture or humidity impacting the lubrication property is a ubiquitous phenomenon in tribological systems,which is demonstrated by a combination of molecular dynamics(MD)simulation and experiment for the organic friction modifier(OFM)-containing *** stearic acid and poly-α-olefin 4cSt(PAO4)were chosen as the OFM and base oil molecules,*** physical adsorption indicates that on the moist surface water molecules are preferentially adsorbed on friction surface,and even make OFM adsorption film thoroughly leave surface and mix with base *** shear process,the adsorption of water film and desorption OFM film are further enhanced,particularly under higher shear *** simulated friction coefficient(that is proportional to shear rate)increases firstly and then decreases with thickening water film,in good agreement with experiments,while the slip length shows a contrary *** wear increases with humidity due to tribochemistry revealing the continuous formation and removal of Si–O–Si *** tribological discrepancy of OFM-containing lubricant in dry and humid conditions is attributed to the slip plane’s transformation from the interface between OFM adsorption film and lubricant bulk to the interface between adsorbed water *** work provides a new thought to understand the boundary lubrication and failure of lubricant in humid environments,likely water is not always harmful in oil lubrication systems.

Controlled cortical impingement is a widely accepted method to induce traumatic brain injury to establish a traumatic brain injury animal model.A strike depth of 1 mm at a certain speed is recommended for a moderate brain injury and a depth of>2 mm is used to induce severe brain ***,the different effects and underlying mechanisms of these two model types have not been *** study investigated the changes in cerebral blood flow,differences in the degree of cortical damage,and differences in motor function under different injury parameters of 1 and 2 mm at injury speeds of 3,4,and 5 m/*** also explored the functional changes and mitochondrial damage between the 1 and 2 mm groups in the acute(7 days)and chronic phases(30 days).The results showed that the cerebral blood flow in the injured area of the 1 mm group was significantly increased,and swelling and bulging of brain tissue,increased vascular permeability,and large-scale exudation *** the 2 mm group,the main pathological changes were decreased cerebral blood flow,brain tissue loss,and cerebral vasospasm occlusion in the injured *** motor and cognitive impairments were found on day 7 after injury in the 2 mm group;at 30 days after injury,the motor function of the 2 mm group mice recovered significantly while cognitive impairment *** sequencing showed that compared with the 1 mm group,the 2 mm group expressed more ferroptosis-related *** changes of mitochondria in the two groups on days 7 and 30 using transmission electron microscopy revealed that on day 7,the mitochondria in both groups shrank and the vacuoles became larger;on day 30,the mitochondria in the 1 mm group became larger,and the vacuoles in the 2 mm group remained *** analyzing the proportion of mitochondrial subgroups in different groups,we found that the model mice had different patterns of mitochondrial composition at different time periods,suggesting that the differenc

Early plasma exchange and continuous renal replacement therapy improve puerperal prognosis in hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure in pregnancy
