Preparation and characterization of Bi2O3/XNBR flexible films for attenuating gamma rays

A bismuth oxide(Bi_2O_3)-dispersed carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber(XNBR) flexible film was prepared as a flexible lead-free material for gamma ray(c-ray)***,obtaining a uniform and stable dispersion of Bi_2O_3 in carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber latex(XNBRL) is a challenge due to sedimentation induced by the remarkable density ***,this challenge was approached by reducing the Bi_2O-3 particle radius,increasing the viscosity of the latex,and adding a *** experimental results confirmed that Bi2 O3 was well dispersed in the XNBRL in the concentration range of 30–70 wt%.The mechanical properties demonstrated that the Bi_2O_3/XNBR flexible films had a good resistance to oil,acid,alkali,and hot *** linear attenuation coefficients of the Bi_2O_3/XNBR flexible films obtained from the experiments were in good agreement with the calculated *** attenuation efficiencies of the Bi_2O_3/XNBR flexible films with different thicknesses and Bi_2O_3 contents were investigated for a few different γ-ray *** results showed that the Bi_2O_3/XNBRflexible films have wide application prospects for low-energy γ-ray attenuation.

The constant amplitude loading fatigue tests were carried out on the 6061/7075 aluminum alloy TIG fillet welded lap specimens in this study,and the weld seam cross-section hardness was *** experimental results show that most specimens mainly failed at the 7075 side weld toes even though the base material tensile strength of 7075 is higher than that of *** maximum stress-strain concentration in the two finite element models is located at the 7075 side weld toe,which is basically consistent with the actual fracture *** weld zone on the 7075 side experiences severe material softening,with a large ***,the Vickers hardness value on the 6061 side negligibly changes and fluctuates around 70 *** obvious defects are found on the fatigue fracture,but a large number of secondary cracks *** germinate from the weld toe and propagate in the direction of the plate *** reinforcement has a serious impact on fatigue *** life will decrease exponentially as the weld reinforcement increases under low *** is found that the notch stress method can give a better fatigue life prediction for TIG weldments,and the errors of the predicted results are within the range of two factors,while the prediction accuracy decreases under low *** equivalent structural stress method can also be used for fatigue life prediction of TIG weldments,but the errors of prediction results are within the range of three factors,and the accuracy decreases under high stress.

The development of flexible supercapacitors(FSCs) capable of operating at high temperatures is crucial for expanding the application areas and operating conditions of supercapacitors. Gel polymer electrolytes and electrode materials stand as two key components that significantly impact the efficacy of hightemperature-tolerant FSCs(HT-FSCs). They should not only exhibit high electrochemical performance and excellent flexibility, but also withstand intense thermal stress. Considerable efforts have been devoted to enhancing their thermal stability while maintaining high electrochemical and mechanical performance. In this review, the fundamentals of HT-FSCs are outlined. A comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art progress and achievements in HT-FSCs, with a focus on thermally stable gel polymer electrolytes and electrode materials is provided. Finally, challenges and future perspectives regarding HT-FSCs are discussed, alongside strategies for elevating operational temperatures and *** review offers both theoretical foundations and practical guidelines for designing and manufacturing HT-FSCs, further promoting their widespread adoption across diverse fields.

We use the carbon nanotube (CNT) as the material of the pH sensing layer of the separative structure for the extended gate H^+-ion sensitive field effect transistor (EGFET) *** CNT paste was prepared with CNT powder,Ag powder,silicagel,the di-n-butyl phthalate and the toluene solvents by appropriate ratio,then immobilized on the silicon substrate to form the carbon nanotube sensing *** measured theⅠ_(DS)-Ⅴ_G curves of the carbon nanotube separative structure EGFET device in the different pH buffer solutions by the Keithley 236Ⅰ-Ⅴmeasurement *** to the experimental results,we can obtain the pH sensitivities of the carbon nanotube separative structure EGFET device,which is 62.54mV/pH from pH1 to pH13.

BACKGROUND The spontaneous resorption of lumbar disk herniations(LDHs)has been widely ***,the majority of these reports analyze the resorption of LDHs that were displaced backwards or *** have been few reports on the spontaneous resorption of upwardly displaced L4/5 LDH that has caused femoral nerve *** SUMMARY A 55-year-old woman presented to our hospital with acute pain in her left *** had been suffering from recurrent lower back pain for approximately 1 year and began to feel pain accompanied with numbness at the anterior aspect of her left leg 7 d *** examination,a typical L4 nerve stimulation was *** upwardly displaced LDH at the L4/5 level was revealed by magnetic resonance *** patient attained complete relief of her symptoms after 10 wk of nonsurgical treatment and the upwardly displaced herniation almost entirely *** was no recurrence during a follow-up of 2 *** Clinicians should be aware that the nerves disturbed by LDHs vary according to the direction of the herniations and the probable resorption of upwardly displaced LDHs should be considered before making a decision on surgery.
