Onlineγ-spectrometry systems for inland waters,most of which extract samples in situ and in real time,are able to produce reliable activity concentration measurements for waterborne radionuclides only when they are distributed relatively uniformly and enter into a steady-state diffusion regime in the measurement chamber.To protect residents’health and ensure the safety of the living environment,better timeliness is required for this measurement method.To address this issue,this study established a mathematical model of the online waterγ-spectrometry system so that rapid warning and activity estimates can be obtained for water under non-steady-state(NSS)conditions.In addition,the detection efficiency of the detector for radionuclides during the NSS diffusion process was determined by applying the computational fluid dynamics technique in conjunction with Monte Carlo simulations.On this basis,a method was developed that allowed the online waterγ-spectrometry system to provide rapid warning and activity concentration estimates for radionuclides in water.Subsequent analysis of the NSS-mode measurements of^(40)K radioactive solutions with different activity concentrations determined the optimum warning threshold and measurement time for producing accurate activity concentration estimates for radionuclides.The experimental results show that the proposed NSS measurement method is able to give warning and yield accurate activity concentration estimates for radionuclides 55.42 and 69.42 min after the entry of a 10 Bq/L^(40)K radioactive solution into the measurement chamber,respectively.These times are much shorter than the 90 min required by the conventional measurement method.Furthermore,the NSS measurement method allows the measurement system to give rapid(within approximately 15 min)warning when the activity concentrations of some radionuclides reach their respective limits stipulated in the guidelines for Drinking-water Quality of the WHO,suggesting that this method considerably enhances the warning capacity of in si

Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) are the most promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries, and thus have drawn intensive research attention. Porous carbon materials from different precursors have been widely used as anode materials owing to their compatible storage effectiveness of both larger radii sodium and potassium ions. However, the differential bonding behaviors of Na and K ions with porous carbon-based anode are the significant one worth investigating, which could provide a clean picture of alkali ions storage mechanism. Therefore, in this work, we prepare a porous carbon network derived from sawdust(SDC) wastes, to further analyze the differences on sodium and potassium ions storage behaviors in terms of bond-forming process. It is found that, as-prepared SDC anodes could deliver stable sodium and potassium storage capacities, however, there are notable distinctions in terms of electrochemical behaviors and diffusion processes. By virtue of ex-situ XRD and Raman spectroscopy, the phase transition reaction of potassium ions could be well-observed, and the results shows that the multiple intercalated compounds was formed in SDC network during ions insertion, further resulting in slower diffusion kinetics and larger resistance compared to non-bonded process of sodium ions storage. This study provides more insights into the differences between sodium and potassium ions storage, as well as the energy storage mechanism of porous carbon as anodes for secondary batteries.

Bi2Se3-based flexible thin film with high thermoelectric performance is promising for the waste heat recovery technology.In this work,a novel post-selenization method is employed to prepare n-type Bi2Se3flexible thin films with highly textured structure.The strengthened texture and Se vacancy optimization can be simultaneously achieved by optimizing the selenization temperature.The highly oriented texture leads to the increased carrier mobility and results in a high electric conductivity of ～290.47 S·cm-1at 623 K.Correspondingly,a high Seebeck coefficient(> 110 μW·K-1) is obtained due to the reduced carrier concentration,induced by optimizing vacancy engineering.Consequently,a high power factor of 3.49 μW·cm-1·K-2at 623 K has been achieved in asprepared highly-bendable Bi2Se3flexible thin films selenized at 783 K.This study introduces an effective post-selenization method to tune the texture structure and vacancies of Bi2Se3flexible thin films,and correspondingly achieves high thermoelectric performance.

Finding optimal knots is a challenging problem in spline fitting due to a lack of prior knowledge regarding optimal knots.The unimodality of initial B-spline approximations associated with given data is a promising characteristic of locating optimal knots and has been applied successfully.The initial B-spline approximations herein are required to approximate given data well enough and characterized by the unimodality if jumps from the highest-order derivatives of the approximations at some interior knots are local maxima.In this paper,we prove the unimodality of the initial B-spline approximations that are constructed under two assumptions:Data points are sampled uniformly and sufficiently from B-spline functions,and initial knots are chosen as the parameters of sampling points.Our work establishes the theoretical basis of the unimodality of initial B-spline approximations and pioneers the theoretical study of locating optimal knots.

BACKGROUND As an active ingredient derived from Dioscorea zingiberensis C.H.Wright,deltonin has been reported to show anti-cancer effects in a variety of malignancies.AIM To investigate the role and mechanism of action of deltonin in promoting gastric carcinoma(GC)cell apoptosis and chemosensitivity to cisplatin.METHODS The GC cell lines AGS,HGC-27,and MKN-45 were treated with deltonin and then subjected to flow cytometry and 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-3,5-diphenyltet-razolium bromide assays for cell apoptosis and viability determination.Western blot analysis was conducted to examine alterations in the expression of apoptosis-related proteins(Bax,Bid,Bad,and Fas),DNA repair-associated proteins(Rad51 and MDM2),and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of the rapamycin(PI3K/AKT/mTOR)and p38-mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)axis proteins.Additionally,the influence of deltonin on GC cell chemosensitivity to cisplatin was evaluated both in vitro and in vivo.RESULTS Deltonin treatment weakened viability,enhanced apoptosis,and dampened DNA repair in GC cell lines in a dose-dependent pattern.Furthermore,deltonin mitigated PI3K,AKT,mTOR,and p38-MAPK phosphorylation.HS-173,an inhibitor of PI3K,attenuated GC cell viability and abolished deltonin inhibition of GC cell viability and PI3K/AKT/mTOR and p38-MAPK pathway activation.Deltonin also promoted the chemosensitivity of GC cells to cisplatin via repressing GC cell proliferation and growth and accelerating apoptosis.CONCLUSION Deltonin can boost the chemosensitivity of GC cells to cisplatin via inactivating p38-MAPK and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling.

Hard carbon（HC） is broadly recognized as an exceptionally prospective candidate for the anodes of sodium-ion batteries（SIBs）,but their practical implementation faces substantial limitations linked to precursor factors,such as reduced carbon yield and increased cost.Herein,a cost-effective approach is proposed to prepare a coal-derived HC anode with simple pre-oxidation followed by a post-carbonization process which effectively expands the d002layer spacing,generates closed pores and increases defect sites.Through these modifications,the resulting HC anode attains a delicate equilibrium between plateau capacity and sloping capacity,showcasing a remarkable reversible capacity of 306.3 mAh·g-1at 0.03 A·g-1.Furthermore,the produ ced HC exhibits fast reaction kinetics and exceptional rate performance,achieving a capacity of 289 mAh·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1,equivalent to ～94.5% of that at 0.03 A·g-1.When implemented in a full cell configuration,the impressive electrochemical performance is evident,with a notable energy density of 410.6 Wh·kg-1（based on cathode mass）.In short,we provide a straightforward yet efficient method for regulating coal-derived HC,which is crucial for the widespread use of SIBs anodes.

为研究钢—UHPC组合梁桥在车辆荷载作用下的车桥耦合动力效应,基于Python语言建立了公路车—桥耦合振动响应分析程序,并以一座拟建的56 m跨简支钢—UHPC组合梁桥为研究对象,分析了不同车辆通行时速、路面不平顺度以及钢梁底板厚度对车桥耦合振动响应结果的影响。研究结果表明,路面不平顺等级为A时,不同时速车辆通行时桥梁动力冲击系数均低于0.09,Sperling平稳性指标低于2.5,整体动力效应不明显;路面不平顺等级对桥梁车桥耦合动力效应的影响十分显著,当路面不平顺度增加时,各项动力响应指标均呈显著明显的上升趋势;钢梁底板厚度在合理范围内变化对桥梁动力响应的影响十分有限。
