Long-term changes in the fishery ecosystem structure of Laizhou Bay,China

Laizhou Bay provides a critical spawning and nursery habitat for many fishery species, including commercially important spe- cies, such as Fenneropenaeus chinensis and Larimichthys polyactis. The bay is severely stressed due to high fishing pressure and environmental changes. Based on the long-term ecosystem surveys in Laizhou Bay during the main spawning period （May） of most fishery species from 1959 to 2008, the responses of the Laizhou Bay fishery ecosystem were analyzed here, including regime shifts in species composition, biomass, species diversity, zooplankton, phytoplankton, and environmental variables. The dominant species of large-size and high economic value （e.g. Trichiurus haumela, L. polyactis） have been replaced by the short-lived, low-trophic-level planktivorous pelagic species （e.g. Setipinna taty, Engraulisjaponicus） since the 1980s, and it is probable that the small-sized pelagic fishes have been recently replaced by invertebrates （e.g. Oratosquilla oratoria, Crangon affinis）. The biomass of fishery resources declined continuously from 423.6 kg haul 1 h-1 in 1959 to 164.6 kg haul-l h i in 1982, 37.7 kg haul-1 h-1 in 1993, and less than 8 kg haul 1 h-a in 1998-2008. Moreover, the biomass of zooplankton showed an increasing trend during 1959-2006, but showed a slight decline in 2008. The abundance of phytoplankton increased from 1959 through 1982, decreased substantially in 1993, and increased again until 2004. More recently, however, the phytoplankton abundance was very low. The sea surface temperature （SST） and sea bottom temperature （SBT） in May increased by 0.23~C a-~ and 0.16~C a-~, respectively, during 1982-2008. The salinity in May showed large fluctuations and reached its lowest val- ues in 2004 and 2006. The ratio of dissolved inorganic nitrogen （DIN） to dissolved inorganic phosphate （DIP） increased. Objective： Since the advent of induced pluripotent stem cell （iPSC） technology a decade ago, enormous progress has been made in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Human iPSCs have been widely used for disease modeling, drug discovery, and cell therapy development. In this review, we discuss the progress in applications of iPSC technology that are particularly relevant to drug discovery and regenerative medicine, and consider the remaining challenges and the emerging opportunities in the field. Data Sourees： Articles in this review were searched from PubMed database from January 2014 to December 2017. Study Selection： Original articles about iPSCs and cardiovascular diseases were included and analyzed. Results： iPSC holds great promises for human disease modeling, drug discovery, and stem cell-based therapy, and this potential is only beginning to be realized. However, several important issues remain to be addressed. Conelusions： The recent availability of human cardiomyocytes derived from iPSCs opens new opportunities to build in vitro models of cardiac disease, screening for new drugs and patient-specific cardiac therapy.

降雨是加剧露天矿山岩质边坡灾害的重要因素,准确剖析降雨作用下的岩石声—力学特征是实现矿山安全监测的前提条件。为研究降雨作用对露天矿山岩质边坡稳定性与声—力学特性的影响,以室内声学测试与力学测试为主要手段,研究了不同探头布置方式下砂岩在水饱和过程中的声发射信号特征,并定量分析了干燥与饱水2种状态下岩样破坏的声发射信号特征及其破坏形式。结果表明:①降雨作用对声发射信号衰减显著,各探头位置波形最大幅值下降约43.3%,波形频率降低约33.3%,呈现出明显的“频移”现象;②声发射事件在干燥岩样破坏过程中呈现较为随机的、缓和的方式,而在饱水岩样中具有一定的连续性和集中性;③干燥和饱水岩样的破坏形式均以剪切破坏为主,并伴随一定的张拉破坏,但饱水岩样的张拉破坏更加明显。研究结果可为露天矿山岩质边坡岩体声—力学特性分析提供参考,促进微震监测技术在露天矿山边坡稳定性监测中的应用。

目的研究阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征(OSAHS)患儿颌骨发育异常情况及其影响因素和对策。方法98例OSAHS患儿,根据是否发生颌骨发育异常分为观察组(49例)和对照组(49例)。所有患儿均以医用数字化X线摄影术(DR)行头影测量和颌骨DR影像测量:X线头影测量后气道间隙(PAS),反映上颌突度的SNA角和反映下颌突度的SNB角,上颌骨宽度以及下颌骨长度、宽度、高度。比较两组患儿颌面部测量指标,分析患儿SNA、SNB、PAS与呼吸暂停低通气指数(AHI)、最低血氧饱和度(LSaO_(2))的相关性。结果两组患儿上颌骨宽度、下颌骨长度、下颌骨宽度、下颌骨高度比较,无统计学差异(P>0.05)。与对照组患儿SNA(81.31±2.52)°、SNB(82.53±2.34)°、PAS(6.35±2.12)mm相比,观察组患儿的(82.34±2.45)°、(83.83±3.17)°、(11.13±2.35)mm更高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。将独立样本t检验中差异有统计学意义的项目分别与AHI、LSaO_(2)做相关性分析,结果发现,SNA与AHI呈负相关,SNA与LSaO_(2)以及SNB、PAS与AHI、LSaO_(2)均呈正相关,SNB、PAS与LSaO_(2)呈负相关(P<0.05)。结论对于OSAHS患儿SNA、SNB、PAS水平均与AHI、LSaO_(2)显著相关,在一定程度上影响儿童早期颌骨发育,应及时发现,及时干预。

Application of double-balloon enteroscopy in the diagnosis and therapy of small intestinal diseases

Background X-ray of the digestive tract and radionuclide examination could not accurately detect diseases of the small intestine. Double-balloon enteroscopy has been used to increase the detection rate of these diseases in addition to endoscopic biopsy and therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of double-balloon enteroscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the small intestine. Methods A total of 258 double-balloon enteroscopies via the mouth and/or anus were performed in 208 patients. If no lesion was detected on one side （mouth or anus）, examination on the other side （anus or mouth） was made. If active small intestinal bleeding was detected, endoscopic hemostasis was done to treat the bleeding. Results In the 208 patients, 50 were subjected to double-balloon enteroscopy via both mouth and anus. Lesions were detected in 151 patients, giving a rate of 72.6% （151/208）. The detection rates for obscure digestive tract bleeding, diarrhea, abdominal pain and weight loss were 90.2% （92/102）, 64.9% （24/37）, 48.5% （16/33） and 43.3% （13/30）, respectively. Lesions of the 151 patients were confirmed by endoscopic biopsy, surgery, clinical studies, and follow-up. In the 102 patients with bleeding of the digestive tract, active bleeding was detected in 27 patients. Endoscopic hemostasis was successful in 25 of them （92.6%, 25/27）. No serious complications occurred in all the patients, the average time for the procedure was 100 minutes. Conclusions Double-balloon enteroscopy is safe, effective in the diagnosis of diseases of the small intestine in addition to endoscopic therapy.

The optimal pH and temperature, maximum specific degradation rate, half rate constant and flocculation rate for the hybrid cell Foaz were measured in the reaction for the degradation of soybean processing wastewater(SPW) in this study. The optimal pH and temperature for Foaz in SPW were the same as those of its parental strains Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y9407 and Rhodobacter sphaeroides P9479, but the flocculation rate, the maximum specific degradation rate and the half rate constant for Foaz were higher than those of its parental strains. The results suggest that the characteristics of the inter kingdom fusant Foaz constructed from the protoplast fusion between the eukaryote cell yeast S. cerevisiae and the prokaryote cell photosynthetic bacteria R. sphaeroides may favor degrading organic pollutant in SPW and removing biomass from the effluent.

In this work,CH4 isothermal adsorption measurements were carried out on 64 coal samples collected from western Guizhou Province of China,and the coalbed methane(CBM)desorption processes were quantitatively *** results show that the Langmuir volume and the Langmuir pressure are controlled by coalification,and tend to increase as the vitrinite reflectance changes from 0.98% to 4.3%.Based on a division method of CBM desorption stages,the CBM desorption process were divided into four stages(inefficient,slow,fast and sensitive desorption stages)by three key pressure nodes(the initial,turning and sensitive pressures).The fast and sensitive desorption stages with high desorption efficiency are the key for achieving high gas production.A theoretical chart of the critical desorption pressure(P_(cd))and its relationship with different pressure nodes was *** higher-rank coals have the higher initial,turning and sensitive pressures,with larger difference between pressure *** CBM wells only undergo partial desorption stages due to the differences in P_(cd) caused by the present-gas *** the same gas content conditions,the higher the coal rank,the less desorption stages that CBM needs to go *** coalbed methane co-production from multiple coal seams within vertically superposed pressure systems,the reservoir pressure,the P_(cd),the initial working liquid level(WLL)height,and coal depth are key factors for evaluating whether coal seams can produce CBM *** must be ensured that each production layer enters at least the fast desorption stage prior to that the WLL was lower than the depth of each *** on this basis can all layers achieve the maximum gas production.
