Magnetic pulse welding process, one of high speed welding processes, uses electromagnetic force from discharged current through a working coil which develops a repulsive force between the induced currents flowing parallel and in the opposite direction in the pipe to be welded. For achieving the successful weldment and using this process, the design of working coil is the most important factor, because working coil has to generate a high-intensity magnetic field on the surface of the workpiece during the process. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the distribution of electromagnetic force of square working coil for magnetic pulse welding. For this, FE-model has been developed to analyze the distribution of electromagnetic force;after that, distribution of electromagnetic force, results of numerical analysis and experimental results for verifying the developed FE-model were compared. A 3-dimensional electromagnetic FE-model has been developed using a general commercial computer program, ANSYS/EMAG code. The shape and material of square working coil were decided through literature surveys. For the experiment, an MPW equipment W-MPW manufactured by WELDMATE Co., Ltd. was employed;also the materials were the Al 1070, SM45C for Al and Steel square pipe and rod respectively. After the experiment, leakage test was used to verify the weldability. Also weld joints were observed on longitudinal cross-section by microscope. The electromagnetic force generated was the greatest one at the center adjacent to square working coil, decreasing as moving into the edge. As the result of Al/Steel welding experiment, weldment of square Al pipe was not completed at the corner of weldment. These results are similar to the output data from developed electromagnetic FE-model where electromagnetic force decreases as moving into the corners of square working coil.

AIM： To evaluate the attitude of primary care physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori （fl pylori） infection. METHODS： Primary care physicians in the Seoul metropolitan area answered self-administered questionnaire from January to March 2003. RESULTS： One hundred and eight doctors responded to the questionnaire. The most frequent reasons for testing H pylori infection were gastric and duodenal ulcers （93.5% and 88.9%, respectively）. For patients with Hplori positive dyspepsia, 28.7% of doctors always tried to eradicate the worm and 34.4% treated selectively. A large proportion （28.7%） of primary care physicians treated H pylori on a patient＇s request basis. Only 9.3% of primary care physicians always conducted follow-up testing after treating H pylori infection. When H pylori was not cleared by the first treatment, 40.7% of doctors reused the same regimen, 16.7% changed to another triple regimen and 25% to a quadruple regimen. CONCLUSION： It has been well documented that the issuance of guidelines alone has little impact on practice. Communication between primary care physicians and gastroenterologists in the form of continuous medical education is required.

Recently,with the normalization of non-face-to-face online environments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,the possibility of cyberattacks through endpoints has *** endpoint devices are managed meticulously to prevent cyberattacks and ensure timely responses to potential security *** particular,because telecommuting,telemedicine,and teleeducation are implemented in uncontrolled environments,attackers typically target vulnerable endpoints to acquire administrator rights or steal authentication information,and reports of endpoint attacks have been increasing *** persistent threats(APTs)using various novel variant malicious codes are a form of a sophisticated ***,conventional commercial antivirus and anti-malware systems that use signature-based attack detectionmethods cannot satisfactorily respond to such *** this paper,we propose a method that expands the detection coverage inAPT attack *** this model,an open-source threat detector and log collector are used synergistically to improve threat detection *** the scope of attack log collection through interworking between highly accessible open-source tools can efficiently increase the detection coverage of tactics and techniques used to deal with APT attacks,as defined by MITRE Adversarial Tactics,Techniques,and Common Knowledge(ATT&CK).We implemented an attack environment using an APT attack scenario emulator called Carbanak and analyzed the detection coverage of Google Rapid Response(GRR),an open-source threat detection tool,and Graylog,an open-source log *** proposed method expanded the detection coverage against MITRE ATT&CK by approximately 11%compared with that conventional methods.

Background: A phase II clinical trial of the comparison between eribulin plus gemcitabine (EG) and paclitaxel plus gemcitabine (PG) as first-line chemotherapy for patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) found that the EG regimen was less neurotoxic, but was similar in efficacy to the PG regimen. In the present study, we analyzed functional assessment of cancer therapy-taxane (FACT-Taxane) questionnaires from patients in this clinical trial to determine their quality of life (QoL). Methods: QoL was assessed using the Korean version of the FACT-Taxane questionnaires. After baseline assessment, QoL was assessed every 2 cycles for 12 cycles and every 3 cycles thereafter. The linear mixed model was used to evaluate the difference in QoL between the EG and PG arms. Results: Of the 118 enrolled patients, 117 responded to the FACT-Taxane questionnaires at baseline, 1 in the PG arm did not. Baseline QoL scores were not different between the EG and PG arms. During treatment, taxane subscale scores were significantly higher in the PG arm than in the EG arm after 2-13 cycles of chemotherapy (all P < 0.05), except for the 11th cycle. Neuropathy-specific analysis showed that patients in the PG arm had earlier and more severe neuropathic symptoms than those in the EG arm (P < 0.001). Conclusions: In our QoL analysis, the EG regimen delayed and decreased neuropathy as compared with the PG regimen. Therefore, eribulin would be a reasonable substitute for paclitaxel as first-line chemotherapy for MBC.

An 81-year-old man presented with epigastric pain and weight loss for one month. He had a past history of pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 years ago. We performed a gastroscopy, which showed a linear depressed whitish gastric ulcer scar (0.8 cm in length) in the posterior wall of the prepyloric antrum. The result of biopsy was reported as squamous epithelium. Immunohistochemical staining using an antibody to high molecular weight cytokeratin (HMC) revealed positive staining in the squamous epithelium. Two years later, the lesion was followed up. The lesion remained at same site endoscopically, but no squamous epithelium could be seen microscopically.

AIM: To compare the mid-term outcomes of lapa-roscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG) and laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(LRYGB) in obese Korean patients. METHODS: All consecutive patients who underwent either LSG or LRYGB with primary to treat morbid obesity between January 2011 and December 2012 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients with a body mass index(BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m2 with inadequately controlled obesity-related comorbidities(e.g., diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, or obesityrelated arthropathy) or BMI ≥ 35 kg/m2 were considered for bariatric surgery according to the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity-Asia Pacific Chapter Consensus statements in 2011. The decision regarding the procedure type was made on an individual basis following extensive discussion with the patient about the specific risks associated with each procedure. All operative procedures were performed laparoscopically by a single surgeon experienced in upper gastrointestinal surgeries. Baseline demographics, perioperative surgical outcomes, and postoperative anthropometric data from a prospectively established database were thoroughly reviewed and compared between the two surgical ***: One hundred four patients underwent LSG, and 236 underwent LRYGB. Preoperative BMI in the LSG group was significantly higher than that of the LRYGB group(38.6 kg/m2 vs 37.2 kg/m2, P = 0.024). Patients with diabetes were more prevalent in the LRYGB group(18.3% vs 35.6%, P = 0.001). Operating time and hospital stay were significantly shorter in the LSG group compared with the LRYGB group(100 min vs 130 min, P < 0.001; 1 d vs 2 d, P = 0.003), but the incidence of perioperative complications was similar between the groups(P = 0.351). The mean percentage of excess weight loss(%EWL) was 71.2% for LRYGB, while it was 63.5% for LSG, at mean follow-up periods of 18.0 and 21.0 mo, respectively(P = 0.073).
