As the traditional polymer stabilizer is eliminated to improve the injectability of foam in lowpermeability reservoirs,the stability,plugging capacity,conformance control and oil recovery performance of the surfactant-alternating-gas(SAG)foam become significantly important for determining its adaptability to permeability and heterogeneity,which were focused and experimentally researched in this *** show that the SAG bubbles are highly stable in micron-sized channels and porous media(than in the conventional unconstrained graduated cylinder),making it possible to use in enhanced oil recovery(EOR).Such bubbles formed in porous media could be passively adjusted to match their diameter with the size of the *** endows the SAG foam with underlying excellent injectability and deep migration *** adaptability results indicate a reduced plugging capacity,but,increased incremental oil recovery by the SAG foam with decreased *** makes it a good candidate for EOR over a wide range of permeability,however,parallel core floods demonstrate that there is a limiting heterogeneity for SAG application,which is determined to be a permeability contrast of 12.0(for a reservoir containing oil of 9.9 m Pa s).Beyond this limit,the foam would become ineffective.

BACKGROUND The orbital venous malformation is quite common in orbital ***,it is usually characterized by ***,among patients with distensible venous malformations,if the lesions continuously progress,they may induce enlargement of the orbital bone or orbital lipoatrophy,which in turn leads to *** SUMMARY Here,we report a patient who presented with enophthalmos and had a severe absence of intra-orbital fat secondary to orbital venous *** patient was a 66-year-old female with a 20-year history of *** exophthalmometry readings in a relaxed upright position were 4 mm OD and 13 mm OS with a 97 mm *** was determined that she had positional“proptosis”.Physical examination also revealed a bulging mass on her hard *** tomographic scan and magnetic resonance imaging showed an expansion of the right orbit with local bony defects and multiple soft-tissue *** Long-term lack of awareness about the presence of orbital venous malformations,persistent venous congestion could lead to compression of the orbital fat,which in turn induces atrophy or the absence of intra-orbital fat.

Primary toppling usually occurs in layered rock slopes with large anti-dip *** this paper,the block toppling evolution was explored using a large-scale centrifuge *** block column in the layered model slope was made of cement *** artificial cracks perpendicular to the block column were *** gages,displacement gages,and high-speed camera measurements were employed to monitor the deformation and failure processes of the model *** centrifuge test results show that the block toppling evolution can be divided into seven stages,*** compression,formation of major tensile crack,reverse bending of the block column,closure of major tensile crack,strong bending of the block column,formation of failure zone,and complete *** toppling is characterized by sudden large deformation and occurs in *** wedge-shaped cracks in the model incline towards the *** observations show that block toppling is mainly caused by bending failure rather than by shear *** tensile strength also plays a key factor in the evolution of block *** simulation results from discrete element method(DEM)is in line with the testing *** stress exists at the backside of rock column during toppling *** concentration results in the fragmented rock column and its degree is the most significant at the slope toe.

Oxide-supported metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)have exhibited excellent catalytic performance for water-gas shift(WGS)***,we report the single-atom catalyst Pt1/FeOx exhibits excellent medium temperature catalytic performance for WGS reactions by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental *** calculations indicate that H_(2)O molecules are easily dissociated at oxygen vacancies,and the formed*OH and*O are adsorbed on Pt1 single atoms and the adjacent O atoms,*** studying four possible reaction mechanisms,it is found that the optimal WGS reaction pathway is proceeded along the carboxyl mechanism(pathway III),in which the formation of*COOH intermediates can promote the stability of Pt1/FeOx SAC and the easier occurrence of WGS *** energy barrier of the rate-determining step during the entire reaction cycle is only 1.16 eV,showing the high activity for the medium temperature WGS reaction on Pt1/FeOx SAC,which was verified by experimental ***,the calculated turnover frequencies(TOFs)of CO_(2)and H_(2)formation on Pt1/FeOx at 610 K(337℃)can reach up to 1.14×10^(-3)s^(-1)·site^(-1)through carboxyl *** this work,we further expand the application potential of Pt1/FeOx SAC in WGS reaction.

Regulating luminescent dynamics of lanthanide-based luminescent materials via external stimuli is of great significance in the fields of optical thermometry and high-level ***,it is still a huge challenge to realize multimodal emissions with tunable color outputs from a single activator in simple structures via smart dynamic control of photon transition ***,we present a mechanistic strategy to achieve multimodal luminescence of Er^(3+)activators with color-switchable outputs in a non-core-shell *** the control of excitation dynamics(λ_(ex)=980,808,1532,377 nm),the population among the intermediate en ergy levels of Er^(3+)and the interaction between Er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)could be precisely modulated through energy transfer and migration processes,leading to the generation of colortunable multimodal luminescence upon diverse excitation modes(non-steady-state,single-/dual-wavelength steady,thermal activation).Inspired by its special luminescent performance,the as-obtained material exhibits great potential in noncontact thermometry,multimodal anticounterfeiting,and high-capacity information encryption by performing a series of proof-of-concept *** findings might provide a conceptual model to modulate the luminescent dynamics in a simple-structured system for the generation of color-adjustable multimodal emissions,which is convenient for the development of advanced luminescent materials toward versatile cuttingedge applications.

Objective This study employs the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR)model to assess the impact of meteorological elements and imported cases on dengue fever outbreaks,emphasizing the spatial-temporal variability of these factors in border *** We conducted a descriptive analysis of dengue fever’s temporal-spatial distribution in Yunnan border *** annual data from 2013 to 2019,with each county in the Yunnan border serving as a spatial unit,we constructed a GTWR model to investigate the determinants of dengue fever and their spatio-temporal heterogeneity in this *** The GTWR model,proving more effective than Ordinary Least Squares(OLS)analysis,identified significant spatial and temporal heterogeneity in factors influencing dengue fever’s spread along the Yunnan ***,the GTWR model revealed a substantial variation in the relationship between indigenous dengue fever incidence,meteorological variables,and imported cases across different *** In the Yunnan border areas,local dengue incidence is affected by temperature,humidity,precipitation,wind speed,and imported cases,with these factors’influence exhibiting notable spatial and temporal variation.

Gas-solid bubbling fluidized beds are widely used in chemical,energy,construction,and other industrial fields due to their excellent fluidization performance.2D-fluidized beds with planar rectangular columns of finite thickness are widely used in fluidized bed studies,and it is essential for understanding the hydrodynamics of gas-particle ***,the distributor(porous medium)at the bottom of the bed has a crucial influence on the fluidization performance of the 2D-fluidized *** this work,the fluidization mechanism and gas-solid dynamic characteristics of the fluidized bed under three porous media are studied by CFD-DEM coupled with the porous medium model,and the accuracy of numerical simulation is verified by a high-speed photography *** show that with the increase in the flow resistance of the porous medium,the average and standard deviation of the bubble diameter decrease,and the time and position of particles in the dead zone to participate in the core-annular flow *** a low fluidization velocity,the dead zone in the bed can be considerably reduced by increasing the flow resistance.

New generation of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)integrating solar energy conversion and storage is emerging,as they could solve the fluctuation problem in the utilization of solar ***-rechargeable lithium-ion batteries(PR-LIBs)are ideal devices for such target,in which solar energy is converted into electricity and stored in *** order to achieve the high performance of PR-LIB,it is crucial to develop dual-function electrode materials that can synergistically capture solar energy and store ***,we present photo-rechargeable lithium-ion batteries using defective black TiO_(2) as photoanode prepared by lithium *** photoanode exhibits excellent photo response in full solar spectrum with a capacity enhancement of 46.4%under illumination,corresponding to the energy conversion efficiency of 4.4%at the current density of 1 A·g^(-1).When illumination is applied at 20 mA·g^(-1),the battery capacity increases from~230 in dark to~349 mAh·g^(-1) at the first cycle,and then stabilizes at 310 mAh·g^(-1),approaching the theoretical value of 335 mAh·g^(-1) of TiO_(2) electrode *** finding provides thoughts for breaking the capacity limitations in TiO_(2) and paves the way for powering LIBs by solar illumination.

Sulfur doped carbonaceous materials are promising anodes for potassium-ion batteries because of their ability to bridge active sites and induce C/S electron coupling,resulting in increased ion storage capacitance However,the large potassium ions could cause significant volume expansion and structure collapse during operation in sulfur doped carbonaceous anodes,which lead to rapidly capacity sacrifice during long-term *** design for anchoring sulfur atom in carbon skeleton is a novel way to alleviate the structure collapse and maintain the cycling ***,this study developed a controlled nanopore and sulfur doped carbon sphere structure(S-NPHCSs).In potassium-ion batteries S-NPHCSs anode demonstrated exceptional performance with a high reversible capacity of 247 mAh·g^(–1)after 50 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(–1)and delivered a long cycle stability of 600 cycles at a high current density of 1.0 A·g^(–1).Interconnected nanopores and doped sulfur structure not only expand the accumulation space and offer ample active sites for diffusion and adsorption of potassium ions,but also build stable channels through nanopore structure to ensure the cyclic *** finding provides a fundamental theory for designing nanopore structures and introducing sulfur doped carbonaceous materials to enhance capacitive potassium storage and long cycle stability.
