Bioactive molecules have shown great promise for effectively regulating various bone formation processes,rendering them attractive therapeutics for bone ***,the widespread application of bioactive molecules is limited by their low accumulation and short half-lives in *** have emerged as ideal carriers to address these challenges,offering the potential to prolong retention times at lesion sites,extend half-lives in vivo and mitigate side effects,avoid burst release,and promote adsorption under physiological *** review systematically summarizes the recent advances in the development of bioactive molecule-loaded hydrogels for bone regeneration,encompassing applications in cranial defect repair,femoral defect repair,periodontal bone regeneration,and bone regeneration with underlying ***,this review discusses the current strategies aimed at improving the release profiles of bioactive molecules through stimuli-responsive delivery,carrier-assisted delivery,and sequential ***,this review elucidates the existing challenges and future directions of hydrogel encapsulated bioactive molecules in the field of bone regeneration.

As an extension of the wavelet approach to vi- bration control of piezoelectric beam-type plates developed earlier by the authors, this paper proposes a hybrid active- passive control strategy for suppressing vibrations of lami- nated rectangular plates bonded with distributed piezoelec- tric sensors and actuators via thin viscoelastic bonding lay- ers. Owing to the low-pass filtering property of scaling func- tion transform in orthogonal wavelet theory, this wavelet- based control method has the ability to automatically filter out noise-like signal in the feedback control loop, hence re- ducing the risk of residual coupling effects which are usu- ally the source of spillover instability. Moreover, the exis- tence of thin viscoelastic bonding layers can further improve robustness and reliability of the system through dissipating the energy of any other possible noise induced partially by numerical errors during the control process. A simulation procedure based on an advanced wavelet-Galerkin technique is suggested to realize the hybrid active-passive control pro- cess. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the pro- posed approach.

First Principles Study of AI-Li Intermetallic Compounds

The structural properties, heats of formation, elastic properties, and electronic structures of four compositions of binary A1-Li intermetallics, A13Li, A1Li, A12Li3, and A14Li9, are ana- lyzed in detail by using density functional theory. The calculated formation heats indicate a strong chemical interaction between A1 and Li for all the A1-Li intermetallics. In partic- ular, in the Li-rich A1-Li compounds, the thermodynamic stability of intermetallics linearly decreases with increasing concentration ***. According to the computational single crystal elastic constants, all the four A1-Li intermetallic compounds considered here are mechani- cally stable. The polycrystalline elastic modulus and Poisson＇s ratio have been deduced by using Voigt, Reuss, and Hill approximations, and the calculated ratios of bulk modulus to shear modulus indicate that the four compositions of binary A1-Li intermetallics are brittle materials. With the increase of Li concentration, the bulk modulus of A1-Li intermetallics decreases in a linear manner.

In this study,focusing on the geometry characteristics of spherical expanding flame,the turbulent premixed flames of natural gas/air mixtures were investigated in a fan-stirred turbulent *** effects of initial temperature（T=300-400 K）,initial pressure（P=0.1-0.3 MPa）,turbulence intensity（u'=1.0-2.7 m/s）,oxygen volumetric percentage(φ（O2）=15%-21%) and carbon dioxide volumetric percentage(φ（CO2）=0-20%)were delved *** flame profile under the Cartesian coordinate system was derived from the schlieren images taken by the high-speed ***,from both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives,the influence of experimental conditions on the flame geometry characteristics was explored through flame front extraction,wavelet decomposition and network *** results demonstrate that for significant flame wrinkling,changes in species concentrations and turbulence intensity have more pronounced effects on the flame wrinkling *** wrinkling of the flame front maintains a certain degree of similarity,as evidenced by the locally concentrated distribution of the angles of the maximum fluctuation *** disturbance energy under large-scale（D6-D8） disturbances exhibits relatively high values with a similar trend,exerting a significant impact on the geometry characteristics of the flame *** peaks of correlation degree are scattered either with the decomposition scale or the development of flame radius,indicating no linear correlation between different detail ***,the probability distribution of node degrees in key wrinkled regions exhibits different trends with that of large-scale wrinkling and disturbance energy,especially with changes in initial *** occurs because the number of key wrinkles varies based on the perturbation's strength or the region's ***,an increase in the fluctuation frequency of the flame's local radius may not necessarily lead to an increase in the number of key folded regions.

The multi-cell uplink power allocation problem for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access （OFDMA） cellular networks is investigated with the uplink transmission power allocation on each co-frequency subchannel being defined as a multi-cell non-cooperative power allocation game （MNPG）.The principle of the design of the utility function is given and a novel utility function is proposed for *** using this utility function,the minimum signal to interference plus noise ratio （SINR） requirement of a user can be *** can be shown that MNPG will converge to the Nash equilibrium and that this Nash equilibrium is *** considering the simulation results,the effect of the algorithm parameters on the system performance is discussed,and the convergence of the MNPG is *** performance of MNPG is compared with that of traditional power allocation schemes,the simulation results showing that the proposed algorithm increases the cell-edge user throughput greatly with only a small decrease in cell total throughput; this gives a good tradeoff between the throughput of cell-edge users and the system spectrum efficiency.

Seasonal variation of Microcystis in Lake Taihu and its relationships with environmental factors

In order to monitor the changes of Microcystis along with temporal and spatial variations, seasonal variation of Microcystis in Lake Taihu was investigated by 16S-23S rRNA internal transcribed spacer denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis （16S-23S rRNA-ITS DGGE） and microscopic evaluation. Samples were collected quarterly at four sites （River Mouth, Meiliang Bay, Cross Area, and Lake Center） from August 2006 to April 2007. Results showed that Microcystis dominated total phytoplankton abundance at the four sites in all seasons except winter. The average annual abundance of Microcystis was relatively high at River Mouth and Meiliang Bay, reaching 81.22×10^6 and 61.32×10^6 cells/L, respectively. For temporal variations, Shannon-Wiener diversity index （H＇） according to DGGE profile revealed the richness of Microcystis in summer （H＇ = 1.375±0.034） and winter （H＇ = 1.650 ±0.032） was lower than that in spring （H＇ = 2.078 ±0.031） and autumn （H＇ = 2.365 ±0.032）（P 〈 0.05）. While for spatial variations, the richness of Microcystis at River Mouth （H＇ = 2.015± 0.074） was higher than at other sites during four seasons （P 〈 0.01）. Very few differences of Microcystis diversity in the same season were observed among the other three sites （P 〉 0.05）. Canonical correspondence analysis （CCA） was performed to elucidate the relationships between Microcystis operational taxonomic units （OTUs） composition and the environmental factors. Results of CCA revealed that temperature was strongly positively correlated with the first axis （r = 0.963）, while TSS was negative correlated with the second axis （r = -0.716）. Phylogenetic tree based on the sequencing results of target bands on DGGE gel indicated that samples collected in summer and winter constituted two separated clusters.
