Acute respiratory distress syndrome af.er liver transplantation: etiology, prevention and management

Objective: To study the etiology, prevention andmanagement of.acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) af.er liver ***: The clinical data of.104 patients with end-stage liver diseases who had had liver transplanta-tions were retrospectively ***: Seventeen patients (16.3%, 17/104) alto-gether were diagnosed as having ARDS af.er livertransplantation. Ten of.them developed ARDS within24 hours, of.whom 1 died during the operation, and7 developed ARDS 3 or 4 days af.er they were extu-bated and when methylprednisolone was *** of.the 17 ARDS patients (14/17) weref.und to have overloaded crystalloid inf.sion, mas-sive transf.sion of.blood or blood products such asplasma, platelets, in addition to a prolonged surgicaltime secondary to serious bleeding during the dis-eased liver removal without evidence of.active inf.c-tion. One was f.und to have serious systemic inf.c-tion and operatively disseminated intravascular coag-ulation. f.ur of.the recipients developed ARDS sud-denly when intravenous cyclosporine was given on the3rd day af.er operation. One patient of.the 4 had allof.the af.rementioned conditions. Two patients suf.f.red f.om gastric aspiration. f.ve (30%, 5/17) of.hem survived ARDS with the combined treatmentconsisting of.positive end-expiratory pressure me-chanicai ventilation suctioning as much edema f.uidor sputum as possible, administration of.diuretics,bolus of.corticosteroids, and culture-based antibiot-ics. Hemeodialysis was indicated f.r patients with ol-iguric renal ***: ARDS is a serious multif.ctoral compli-cation af.er liver transplantation with a high mortali-ty and f.tality. The most likely cause is f.uid over-load f.om crystalloid liq.id inf.sion or massive trans-f.sion. Precipitation of.multi-type nano-q.asicrystals in a Mg-Zn-Y alloy

Mg-6Zn-1Y(at.%)ribbons with strengthening precipitates of.multi-type nanoq.asicrystals were prepared by melt-spinning f.llowed by aging *** evolution of.the rapidly solidif.ed ribbons during isothermal aging was comprehensively studied using various electron microscopy *** new kinds of.decagonal q.asicrystals were f.rmed in aged ribbons,in addition to precipitation of.nanometer icosahedral ***-resolution observations reveal that both decagonal q.asicrystals can be modeled by q.asiperiodic tiling with decagonal clusters of.2.5 nm in diameter,but overlap of.neighboring clusters in both decagonal q.asicrystals is dif.erent f.om the Gummelt model observed in other q.asicrystals.A shell composed of.complex Laves Mg-Zn domains was f.rmed surrounding each decagonal q.asicrystal precipitate upon prolonged *** addition,all kinds of.nanoprecipitates exhibit excellent structure and size stability at 573 *** f.ndings may have implications f.r not only f.ndamental studies about q.asicrystals,but also microstructural manipulation of.high-perf.rmance Mg alloys.

Construction and Validity of.Chinese Translation of.the Universal Mental Health Literacy Scale f.r Adolescents

Background: In this study, the Universal Mental Health Literacy Scale f.r Adolescents (UMHL-A) was revised and tested f.r its reliability and validity in Chinese middle school students, thus establishing a usef.l tool f.r assessing the mental health of.individuals in this occupation. Methods: Our sample comprised 1208 junior high school students (58.85% male), aged between 11 and 15 years old. The Chinese version of.the scale includes a mental health attitude subscale and mental health knowledge subscale, including attitudes towards seeking help, attitudes related to stigma, general mental health knowledge, and knowledge about specif.c mental illnesses, encapsulated in a total of.17 items. A series of.psychometric analyses such as exploratory f.ctor analysis (Ef.), conf.rmatory f.ctor analysis (Cf.), and internal consistency reliability estimation were carried out in this study. Results: The results of.the Cf. indicated that the two-f.ctor model had an acceptable model f.t (Attitude (UMHL-A Likert): χ2/df.= 4.107; RMSEA = 0.072; SRMR = 0.045; TLI = 0.932; Cf. = 0.954; Knowledge (UMHL-A T/f.: χ2/df.= 3.647; RMSEA = 0.066; SRMR = 0.044; TLI = 0.923; Cf. = 0.945). The Cronbach’s alpha coef.icient of.subscales of.the Chinese version UMHL-A were 0.80 and 0.78, respectively. Conclusion: In general, the Chinese version of.the Universal Mental Health Literacy Scale f.r adolescents has good reliability and validity and can be used as a tool to measure the mental health literacy of.Chinese adolescents. © 2024 The Authors.

Is Peer Victimization Associated with Higher Online Trolling among Adolescents? The Mediation of.Hostile Attribution Bias and the Moderation of.Trait Mindf.lness

Background: In recent years, online trolling has garnered signif.cant attention due to its detrimental ef.ects on mental health and social well-being. The current study examined the inf.uence of.peer victimization on adolescent online trolling behavior, proposing that hostile attribution bias mediated this relationship and that trait mindf.lness moderated both the direct and indirect ef.ects. Methods: A total of.833 Chinese adolescents completed the measurements of.peer victimization, hostile attribution bias, trait mindf.lness, and online trolling. Moderated mediation analysis was perf.rmed to examine the relationships between these variables. Results: Af.er controlling f.r gender and residential address, the study f.und a signif.cant positive correlation between peer victimization and online trolling, with hostile attribution bias serving as a mediator. In addition, trait mindf.lness moderated the direct relationship between peer victimization and online trolling. Specif.cally, the ef.ect of.peer victimization on online trolling was attenuated when adolescents had high levels of.trait mindf.lness. The results of.the study emphasized the joint role of.peer and personal f.ctors in adolescents’ online trolling behavior and provide certain strategies f.r intervening in adolescents’ online trolling behavior. Conclusion: The results of.the study suggest that strategies f.cusing on peer support and mindf.lness training can have a positive impact on reducing online trolling behavior, promoting adolescents’ mental health, and their long-term development. © 2024 The Authors.

IMTNet: Improved Multi-Task Copy-Move f.rgery Detection Network with f.ature Decoupling and Multi-f.ature Pyramid

Copy-Move f.rgery Detection (CMf.) is a techniq.e that is designed to identif. image tampering and locate suspicious areas. However, the practicality of.the CMf. is impeded by the scarcity of.datasets, inadeq.ate q.ality and q.antity, and a narrow range of.applicable tasks. These limitations signif.cantly restrict the capacity and applicability of.CMf.. To overcome the limitations of.existing methods, a novel solution called IMTNet is proposed f.r CMf. by employing a f.ature decoupling approach. f.rstly, this study f.rmulates the objective task and network relationship as an optimization problem using transf.r learning. f.rthermore, it thoroughly discusses and analyzes the relationship between CMf. and deep network architecture by employing ResNet-50 during the optimization solving phase. Secondly, a q.antitative comparison between f.ne-tuning and f.ature decoupling is conducted to evaluate the degree of.similarity between the image classif.cation and CMf. domains by the enhanced ResNet-50. f.nally, suspicious regions are localized using a f.ature pyramid network with bottom-up path augmentation. Experimental results demonstrate that IMTNet achieves f.ster convergence, shorter training times, and f.vorable generalization perf.rmance compared to existing methods. Higher-order mode analysis f.r SOLEIL-type superconducting cavity

A 499.8 MHz SOLEIL-type superconducting cavity was simulated and designed f.r the f.rst time in this paper. The higher-order mode (HOM) properties of.the cavity were investigated. Two kinds of.coaxial HOM couplers were designed. Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOM couplers, the longitudinal impedance was suppressed to 3 kΩ, and the transverse impedance below 30 kΩ/m. The HOM damping req.irements of.Hef.i Advanced Light f.cility (HALf. were satisf.ed. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the radio f.eq.ency (Rf. design, multipacting optimization, and thermal analysis of.these coaxial couplers. Simulation results indicated that under operating acceleration voltage, the optimized couplers does not exhibit multiplicating or thermal breakdown phenomena. The cavity has the potential to reach a higher acceleration gradient.

Existing lithospheric velocity models exhibit similar structures typically associated with the f.rst-order tectonic f.atures, with dissimilarities due to dif.erent data and methods used in model generation. The q.antif.cation of.model structural similarity can help in interpreting the geophysical properties of.Earth's interior and establishing unif.ed models crucial in natural hazard assessment and resource exploration. Here we employ the complex wavelet structural similarity index measure (CW-SSIM) active in computer image processing to analyze the structural similarity of.f.ur lithospheric velocity models of.Chinese mainland published in the past decade. We take advantage of.this method in its multiscale def.nition and insensitivity to slight geometrical distortion like translation and scaling, which is particularly crucial in the structural similarity analysis of.velocity models accounting f.r uncertainty and resolution. Our results show that the CW-SSIM values vary in dif.erent model pairs, horizontal locations, and depths. While variations in the inter-model CW-SSIM are partly owing to dif.erent databases in the model generation, the dif.erence of.tomography methods may signif.cantly impact the similar structural f.atures of.models, such as the low similarities between the f.ll-wave based f.EA18 and other three models in northeastern China. We f.nally suggest potential solutions f.r the next generation of.tomographic modeling in dif.erent areas according to corresponding structural similarities of.existing models. © 2023 The Authors

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed hybrid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive f.eld and ion scattering ef.ects are important f.r proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they compete with each *** the target is not completely ionized,the self.generated resistive f.eld ef.ect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely ionized,this situation is ***,it is f.und that Ohmic heating is important f.r higher current densities and materials with high *** energy f.action deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with half.angles of.about 5°-10°will modif. the proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.

We examine electron kinetic ef.ects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing ref.ectivity spikes and generating large numbers of.hot ***-duration simulations are perf.rmed to observe burst events,and a simplif.ed model is developed to eliminate the interf.rence of.the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplif.ed model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of.electron plasma *** spectrum changes f.om a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A signif.cant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplif.ed and transf.rred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of.hot *** proportion of.hot electrons increases f.om 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic ef.ects prof.undly inf.uence the BSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.
