In recent years,Enhanced Geotherm.l System.EGS)technologies have been applied to the geotherm.l resources production in the Hot Dry Rock(HDR).The core of EGS technologies is to adopt hydraulic fracturing in the reservoir to create a connected network of discrete fractures with the consideration of water as a working fluid for hydraulic fracturing and heat *** paper investigates the characteristics of water flow behaviors through a single rough fracture under different tem.erature and pressure conditions.A single fracture m.del with rough fracture surfaces is constructed and then characterized,and influences of the anisotropic factor on the average tortuosity and frictional resistance coefficient of water flow through a single fracture with rough surfaces have been com.ared and *** consideration of other im.acting factors(tem.erature,pressure,fracture roughness),the im.act of m.ss flow rate has also been *** sim.lation results present that changes of average tortuosity for water flow through a single rough facture are m.inly affected by *** can be observed that higher tem.erature leads to larger average tortuosity but the frictional resistance coefficient shows an opposite *** for pressure conditions,it is found that effects of pressure on average tortuosity and frictional resistance coefficient is very sm.ll,which can be neglected under high pressure ***,the average tortuosity shows a progressively linear relationship with the m.ss flow *** the contrary,the frictional resistance coefficient has a negative relationship with the m.ss flow *** is revealed that when the m.ss flow rate reaches a critical point,the influences of tem.erature on the frictional resistance coefficient will be *** of single rough fractures with different anisotropic factors show that values of average tortuosity and frictional resistance coefficient have positive relationships with the increase

Advancing electrochem.cal drilling process via coupling of flow field and electric field in pulsating state generated by a novel tube tool

This paper introduces an im.rovem.nt to electrochem.cal drilling process by coupling flow field and electric field in pulsating state. A novel tube with half-wedged shape at the end(HW-tube) is prepared, with both sidewall and wedged part of the HW-tube insulated. Only the flat part is utilized to provide electric field for electrochem.cal drilling. By rotating the HW-tube, both flow field and electric field in pulsating state are generated, alternating in different positions within the inter-electrode gap(IEG). The pulsating flow field enhances the m.ss transfer process, while pulsating electric field disperses m.terial dissolution process and distribution of electrolytic byproducts. Both pulsating fields are coupled at the sam. frequency, further enhancing the electrochem.cal drilling process. Sim.lation results indicate that both flow field and electric field in pulsating state are generated. Com.ared to the traditional tube, the HW-tube significantly reduces the num.er of residual particles in IEG, and this num.er is further reduced by increasing the rotation speed. Experim.ntal results reveal that the surface quality and dim.nsional uniform.ty of sm.ll hole are im.roved with HW-tube. With feed rate of 2.22 m./m.n, a sm.ll hole with diam.ter of 1.52± 0.017 m. is drilled, resulting in a surface roughness of 0.331 μm.

Num.rical sim.lations for radon m.gration and exhalation behavior during m.asuring radon exhalation rate with closed-loop m.thod

Accurate m.asurem.nts of the radon exhalation rate help identify and evaluate radon risk regions in the *** these m.asurem.nt m.thods,the closed-loop m.thod is frequently ***,traditional experim.nts are insufficient or cannot analyze the radon m.gration and exhalation patterns at the gas–solid interface in the accum.lation *** CFD-based technique was applied to predict the radon concentration distribution in a lim.ted space,allowing radon accum.lation and exhalation inside the cham.er intuitively and *** this study,three radon exhalation rates were defined,and two structural ventilation tubes were designed for the *** consistency of the sim.lated results with the variation in the radon exhalation rate in a previous experim.nt or analytical solution was *** effects of the vent tube structure and flow rate on the radon uniform.ty in the cham.er;perm.ability,insertion depth,and flow rate on the radon exhalation rate and the effective diffusion coefficient on back-diffusion were *** on the results,increasing the inser-tion depth from.1 to 5 cm.decreased the effective decay constant by 19.55%,whereas the curve-fitted radon exhalation rate decreased(lower than the initial value)as the deviation from.the initial value increased by approxim.tely 7%.Increasing the effective diffusion coefficient from.2.77×10^(-7) to 7.77×10^(-6) m.(2) s^(-1) m.de the deviation expand from.2.14 to 15.96%.The conclusion is that an increased insertion depth helps reduce leakage in the cham.er,subject to notable back-diffusion,and that the closed-loop m.thod is reasonably used for porous m.dia with a low effective diffusion coefficient in view of the back-diffusion *** CFD-based sim.lation is expected to provide guidance for the optim.zation of the radon exhalation rate m.asurem.nt m.thod and,thus,the accurate m.asurem.nt of the radon exhalation rate.

Waste resource utilization of petroleum.coke is crucial for achieving global carbon em.ssion ***,a series of N-doped m.croporous carbons were fabricated from.petroleum.coke using a one-pot synthesis *** as-prepared sam.les had a large specific surface area(up to 2512 m.(2)/g),a m.derate-high N content(up to 4.82 at.%),and high population(55%)of ultra-m.cropores(m..Regulating the N content and ultra-m.croporosity led to efficient CO_(2)adsorption and *** am.ient pressure,the optim.l N-doped petroleum.coke-based m.croporous carbon exhibited the highest CO_(2)uptake of 4.25 m.ol/g at 25℃ and 6.57 m.ol/g at 0℃.These values are com.arable or even better than those of num.rous previously reported adsorbents prepared by m.ltistep synthesis,prim.rily due to the existence of *** sam.le exhibited excellent CO_(2)/N_(2)selectivity at 25℃ owing to the abundant basic pyridinic and pyrrolic N species;and showed superior CO_(2)adsorption-desorption cycling perform.nce,which was m.intained at 97% after 10 cycles at 25℃.m.reover,petroleum.coke-based m.croporous carbon,with a considerably high specific surface area and hierarchical pore structure,exhibited excellent electrochem.cal perform.nce over the N-doped sam.le,m.intaining a favorable specific capacitance of 233.25F/g at 0.5 A/g in 6 m.l/L KOH aqueous *** study provides insight into the influence of N-doping on the porous properties of petroleum.coke-based ***,the as-prepared carbons were found to be prom.sing adsorbents for CO_(2)adsorption,CO_(2)/N_(2)separation and electrochem.cal application.

Highly-efficient oxidation of 5-hydroxym.thylfurtural(Hm.) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) at low tem.erature with air as the oxidant is still ***,inspired by the respirato ry electron transport chain(ETC) of living cells m.diated by electron carriers,we constructed artificial ETCs and transform.d liquid flow fuel cells(LFFCs) to flexible reactors for efficient oxidation of Hm. to produce FDCA under m.ld *** LFFC reactor em.loyed an electrodeposition m.dified nickel foam.as an anode to prom.te Hm. oxidation and(VO_(2))_(2)SO_(4) as a cathode electron carrier to facilitate the electron transfer to *** reaction rate could be easily controlled by selecting the anode catalyst,adjusting the external loading and changing the cathodic electron carrier or oxidants.A m.xim.l power density of 44.9 m. cm.(-2) at room.tem.erature was achieved,while for FDCA production,short-circuit condition was preferred to achieve quick transfer of *** a single batch operation with 0.1 m.initial Hm.,FDCA yield reached 97.1%.By fed-batch operation,FDCA concentration reached 144.5 g L^(-1) with a total yield of 96%.Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+) redox couple was the active species m.diating the electron transfer,while both experim.ntal and DFT calculation results indicated that Hm.CA pathway was the preferred reaction m.chanism.

C-Oligosaccharides are rare in nature and possess diverse ***,their chem.cal synthesis faces m.ny *** this work,enzym.tic introduction of C-linked sugar chains to target aglycones was successfully achieved by m.lti-enzym.tic cascade reactions.A C-glycosyltransferase from.Aloe barbadensis was em.loyed to introduce the first C-linked glucose and then a cyclom.ltodextrin glucanotransferase from.Bacillus licheniform.s was used to extend the sugar chain.A total of twenty C-oligosaccharides with 2-6 sugars were synthesized from.scale-up reactions and exhibited good water solubility and sodium.dependent glucose transporter 2(SGLT2)inhibitory ***,a glucoam.lase was used to control the length of the sugar chain and the C-m.ltosides were efficiently *** findings not only expanded the structural diversity of C-oligosaccharides,but also provided a strategy for the m.dification of C-glycoside drugs to im.rove the druggability.
