Within plate seismicity analysis in the segment between the high Cordillera and the Precordillera of northern Mendoza(southern Central Andes)

Crustal seismicity in northwestern Mendoza Province in Argentina, corresponding to the transition zone between the Chilean-Pampean flat subduction zone（26.5-33.5°s） and the southern Central Andes normal subduction zone to the south, is studied in order to i） identify its relationship with the mapped structure, ii）determine deformational mechanisms and iii） constrain the geometry of the fold and thrust belt in the lower crust. Through this, we aim to determine which are the structures that contribute to Andean construction, east of the Frontal Cordillera in Argentina and at the western Principal Cordillera in Chile. Data from a temporary local seismic network are reprocessed in order to achieve a precise location of hypocenters and, whenever possible, to build focal mechanisms. Results are interpreted and compared with previous seismic studies and structural models. Analyzed seismicity is grouped around the eastern front of Frontal Cordillera, with hypocenters mainly at depths of 25-40 km. Contrastingly, earthquakes in the Principal Cordillera to the west are located at the axial Andean sector and Chilean slope, with depths shallower than 15 km. Obtained focal mechanisms indicate mainly strike-slip displacements, left lateral at Frontal Cordillera and right lateral at Principal Cordillera. Based on these observations, new possible structural models are proposed, where seismogenic sources could be either associated with inherited basement structures from the Cuyania-Chilenia suture; or correspond to deep-blind thrusts linked with a deeper-than-previously-assumed decollement that could be shared between Frontal Cordillera and western Precordillera. This deeper decollement would coincide in turn with the one determined from receiver function analysis for the eastern sierras Pampeanas in previous works, potentially implying a common decollement all through the fold and thrust belt configuration. Overexpression of neurotrophic factors in nigral dopamine neurons is a promising approach to reverse neurodegeneration of the nigrostriatal dopamine system,a hallmark in Parkinson's *** human cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor(h CDNF)has recently emerged as a strong candidate for Parkinson's disease *** study shows that h CDNF expression in dopamine neurons using the neurotensinpolyplex nanoparticle system reverses 6-hydroxydopamine-induced morphological,biochemical,and behavioral *** independent electron microscopy techniques showed that the neurotensin-polyplex nanoparticles containing the h CDNF gene,ranging in size from 20 to 150 nm,enabled the expression of a secretable h CDNF in *** injection in the substantia nigra compacta on day 21 after the 6-hydroxydopamine lesion resulted in detectable h CDNF in dopamine neurons,whose levels remained constant throughout the study in the substantia nigra compacta and *** with the lesioned group,tyrosine hydroxylase-positive(TH^(+))nigral cell population and TH+fiber density rose in the substantia nigra compacta and striatum after h CDNF *** increase inβIII-tubulin and growth-associated protein 43 phospho-s41(GAP43 p)followed TH^(+)cell recovery,as well as dopamine and its catabolite *** reversal(80%)of drugactivated circling behavior and full recovery of spontaneous motor and non-motor behavior were ***-derived neurotrophic factor recovery in dopamine neurons that also occurred suggests its participation in the neurotrophic *** findings support the potential of nanoparticle-mediated h CDNF gene delivery to develop a disease-modifying treatment against Parkinson's *** Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados approved our experimental procedures for animal use(authorization No.162-15)on June 9,2019.

Fluorine in Water and Dental Fluorosis in a Community of Queretaro state Mexico

The community La Llave, Queretaro state, Mexico, has not been identified by the sanitary authorities as living in a hazard area related to dental fluorosis. However;a high concentration of fluoride is found in their drinking water causing them dental fluorosis. Physical-chemical analysis was carried out in the groundwater sources to determine the prevalence of dental fluorosis risk and caries accordingly to criteria of The World Health Organization, and 154 school children of ages 10 to 13 years were examined. As a result, 1.9 mg/L of fluorine concentration in drinking water was obtained;dental fluorosis presence was detected in the school children with an incidence of about 98%, in 47% of cases severe fluorosis with a dental caries index of 3.06 was traced. The groundwater sources in La Llave community contains fluorine above the limits dictated by Mexican regulations, producing serious repercussions on the health of school children, with an unnaturally high incidence of dental fluorosis.

The synthesis of the thenoyltrifluoroacetone compound doped with terbium, dysprosium and europium encapsulated in a silica matrix (TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@siOsub>2sub>) were performed by the sol-gel method. The precursors to obtain the vitreous phase (siOsub>2sub>) were: Tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOs, Csub>8sub>Hsub>2sub>Osub>4sub>si, 98%, Aldrich), and ethyl alcohol (CHsub>3sub>CHsub>2sub>OH, 99.5%, Meyer), distilled water and 0.05 ml of hydrochloric acid (HCl, Meyer). The sample with molar ratio 20:80 TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@siOsub>2sub> has the best emission intensity. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) shown that silica encapsulated samples decompose at lower temperatures than pure TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu luminescent material. Fourier Transform Infrared (IR-TF) shown the characteristic si-O-si bands that are presented at a wavelength of 1049, 853 and 440 cmsup>ǃsup> confirming that the luminescent material is encapsulated in a silica matrix, finally X-ray diffraction (XRD) shown that TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@siO2 composite is amorphous.

以前提出的模拟泥质砂岩电特性的解析方法经修改后适用于由油井电磁测井、孔隙度测井的测量值计算胶结指数m、含水饱和度s_w 及泥质分布。泥质通常用砂岩中黏上体积分数p及黏上类型参数β_1/α来描述。对泥质包壳结构来说,这些参数可以同交换阳离子密度Q_v建立关系。依据粒状模型内部等效流动状态导出了 Kozeny-Carman型方程,即用孔隙度弯曲因子φ^(m-0.5)和参数 Q_v表示介质的原始渗透率 k。幂律导出的表达式证明 k随黏土含量而降低,这不仅因为高 Q_v使孔隙通道变窄,还因为高Q_v可改变介质的水力弯曲度。用大量的不同类型砂岩岩石物理实验室数据对此方程进行了统计验证,并对巴西的北里奥格兰德Potiguar盆地一口油井的岩心数据及测井数据进行了分析,取得了满意结果。

Currently,conventional therapies in cancer are improving;chemotherapy,radiotherapy and surgery have increased survival *** therapies have arisen with the same goal;immunotherapy has appeared as a promising option in the fight against cancer stimulating the immune system by inducing innate and adaptive *** responses include release of pro-inflammatory cytokines,making the immune system capable to eliminate or protect against multiple ***,many of these therapies are being used in clinical settings,such as checkpoint inhibitors,monoclonal anti cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte associated protein 4(CTL-4)and programmed death protein 1(PD1),with inspiring results;however,they may decrease immunotolerance,limiting their *** the same time,chemotherapy works by passive transport across the cell membrane,limiting its capacity to penetrate in tumor *** these reasons,bacteria employment represents one of the best candidates for cancer *** can surpass these barriers with their selective colonization which also has an oncolytic effect by increasing proliferation and immunostimulation in the tumor *** strains,such as Mycobacterium bovis,Clostridium,salmonella typhimirium and Listeria monocytogenes have been studied showing promising results in experimental ***,their application in clinical trials has shown the need to maximize their therapeutic *** engineering and synthetic biology are necessary to prove the scope that this novel approach has against cancer due to implications of cancer therapy and public health.
