South Sinai includes Egypt’s highest mountains that resemble an ecological island surrounded by *** present study aims to analyse the vegetation physiognomy along the altitudinal and environmental gradients in the main wadi beds in South Sinai mountainous *** includes determining the natural,native-weed and alien vegetation in representative stands in this region,analysing their vegetation in terms of species composition,abundance and life forms and determining the national and global distribution of the associated *** investigation also aims to describe the prevailing plant communities and assess the role of environmental conditions that affect the vegetation in this ***,thirty-two stands were chosen during march-June 2018 to reflect the prevailing altitude and environmental *** species was 316(229 genera and 61 families):186 species were perennials(58.9%),while 130 were annuals(41.1%).In addition,152 species were native weeds(48.1%of total species),31 were aliens(9.8%),along with 133 natural species(42.1%).Eight species were recorded as endemic to Egypt:Anarrhinum pubescens,Euphorbia sanctae-catharinae,Hypericum sinaicum,Origanum syriacum ***,Phlomis aurea,Primula boveana,Rosa arabica and Solanum *** addition,10 species were recorded as near-endemics to Egypt and other adjacent countries:allium desertorum,Asclepias sinaica,Centaurea scoparia,Fagonia mollis ***,Hyoscyamus boveanus,Iphiona mucronata,micromeria sinaica,Pterocephalus sanctus,Salvia deserti and Stachys *** the present study,33 species are threatened and categorized as follows:8 endangered,8 vulnerable and one indeterminate,while the rest were evaluated by the authors as *** rich plant diversity of this region is due to its extensive mountainous massif,which supports many *** high elevations in this region hinder the dispersal process of propagules,a situation which often tends to increase endemic and ne

We present the essential stellar parameters of the close visual triple system HD 2893 using al-Wardat's method for analyzing binary and multiple star systems in conjunction with Kurucz's model *** method accurately computes the spectrophotometric stellar masses through a combined synthetic spectral energy distribution approach that compares the results with observed *** vigorous approach uses spectroscopic,photometric,and dynamical analysis to yield precise *** method implements Gaia DR3 measurements and other measurements like those of Hipparcos and 2mASS all-Sky Catalog as a guide for the best fit between the synthetic spectra and observed *** analysis gives precise spectrophotometric stellar masses for the system being ■,and ■.It shows that the three components are main sequence stars with an estimated age of around 1.0 *** integrated with the dynamical analysis,a new dynamical parallax for the system is obtained,πdyn=13.8528±0.20 ***,the discussion covers the formation and evolution of the triple system.

Assessment of plant diversity of endemic species of the Saharo-Arabian region in Egypt

Savanna, semi-deserts, and hot deserts characterize the Saharo-Arabian region, which includes morocco, mauretania, algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, southern Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Its neighboring regions, the Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to the Paleotropical Kingdom and the mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in the Holarctic Kingdom, share a large portion of their flora with the Saharo-Arabian region. Despite the widespread acknowledgment of the region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of the Saharo-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. The available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both the whole global and the national scales. Therefore, the present study aims at screening and verifying the Saharo-Arabian endemic plants and determining the phytogeographical distribution of these taxa in the Egyptian flora. Hence, a preliminary list of 429 Saharo-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from the available literature. Indeed, by excluding the species that were recorded in any countries or regions outside the Saharo-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, the present study has reduced this number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding the national geographic distribution, South Sinai is the richest region with 83 endemic species compared with other eight phytogeographic regions in Egypt, followed by the Isthmic Desert(the middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sahara regional subzone(SS1) distributes all the 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. Numerical Study of Flow and Gas Diffusion in the Near-Wake behind an Isolated Building

To assist validation of the experimental data of urban pollution dispersion, the effect of an isolated building on the flow and gaseous diffusion in the wake region have been investigated numerically in the neutrally stratified rough-walled turbulent boundary layer. Numerical studies were carried out using Computational Fluid Dynamics （CFD） models. The CFD models used for the simulation were based on the steady-state Reynolds-Average Navier-Stoke equations （RANS） with κ-ε turbulence models; standard κ-ε and RNG κ-ε models. Inlet conditions and boundary conditions were specified numerically to the best information available for each fluid modeling simulation. A gas pollutant was emitted from a point source within the recirculation cavity behind the building model. The accuracy of these simulations was examined by comparing the predicted results with wind tunnel experimental data. It was confirmed that simulation using the model accurately reproduces the velocity and concentration diffusion fields with a fine-mish resolution in the near wake region. Results indicated that there is a good agreement between the numerical simulation and the wind tunnel experiment for both wind flow and concentration diffusion. The results of this work can help to improve the understanding of mechanisms of and simulation of pollutant transport in an urban environment.

Role of Right Ventricular-Pulmonary Arterial Coupling measured by Echocardiography in Predicting Right Ventricular Dysfunction after Cardiac Surgery

Background: The tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) and pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) is an indirect estimate of right ventricular-pulmonary arterial (RV-PA) coupling that has been shown to correlate with invasive measures. We aimed to assess the ability of the tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion/pulmonary systolic pressure ratio (TAPSE/PASP) as a measure for RV-PA coupling to predict the development of RV dysfunction after cardiac surgery. methods: This prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with ischemic heart disease and undergoing cardiac surgery (coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)) with normal preoperative right ventricular function, classified according to RV function outcomes into 2 groups: Normal RV group (65 patients) and RV dysfunction group (35 patients). all cases underwent per and postoperative transthoracic echocardiography. Results: By using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, pre-operative TAPSE/PASP ratio could significantly predict the RV dysfunction (P 0.58, with AUC of 94%, 88.6% sensitivity, and 89.2% specificity. Post-operative TAPSE/PASP Ratio could significantly predict the RV dysfunction (P 0.39, with AUC of 84%, 100% sensitivity, and 76.9% specificity. Pre-operative TAPSE/PASP ratio could significantly predict mortality (P Conclusion: The TAPSE/PASP ratio is an excellent tool for CABG patients for its ability to detect and predict the development of RV dysfunction after cardiac surgery, along with the prediction of mortality in post-operative CABG patients.

Optimizing Cr^(3+) concentration and evaluating energy transfer from Cr^(3+) to Nd^(3+) in Cr,Nd:GGG nanocrystals prepared by sol-gel method

Nanopowder of Cr：GGG and nanopowder of Cr,Nd：GGG with different concentrations of Cr3＋ ranging from 0.1 at.% to 1.5 at.% were synthesized by the sol-gel method using acetic acid and ethylene glycol. Thermal gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry （TGA-DSC）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and photoluminescence spectroscopy were used to characterize the powder. The crystallite size was about 58 nm when treated at 1000 oC for 2 h. Cr3＋ photoluminescence spectrum in GGG showed a broad band emission around 730 nm. The intensity of this band decreased when co-doped with Nd, indicating an efficient energy transfer from Cr3＋ to Nd3＋. Photoluminescence intensity of Nd in Cr,Nd：GGG at 1.06μm showed that the optimum concentration of Cr3＋ was about 1 at.% （more or less） for 1 at.% Nd3＋. This result was also confirmed by chromium fluorescence decay rate analysis. Energy transfer efficiency was found to be about 84% for 1 at.% concentration of each chromium and neodymium.

Anti-müllerian hormone and antral follicle count predict ovarian response in women less than 45 years following GnRH antagonist multiple-dose protocol

Objective:To speculate which of the following parameters:antral follicle count(AFC),anti-müllerian hormone(AmH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and age can be used as a predictor of ovarian response to gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)antagonist stimulation multiple-dose protocol in women under 45 years,and to determine the cutoff value of these parameters and their correlations for predicting low and high ovarian ***:This prospective study included 462 women with the mean age of(29.3±6.5)*** women were subjected to the GnRH antagonist stimulation multiple-dose *** the second day of the menstrual cycle,ultrasonography was conducted to determine AFC in both *** blood samples were collected to evaluate the level of estradiol,FSH,luteinizing hormone,prolactin,thyroid-stimulating hormone,and *** women were divided into three groups:low response(AHHmL,n=173),normal response(AmH=1.0-3.5 ng/mL,n=175),and high response(AmH>3.5 ng/mL,n=114).Results:A significant decrease was found in the age and FSH level in the high response group compared to other groups(PmH,estradiol on human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)day,AFC,mature oocytes,fertilized oocytes,and embryos transferred in the high response group compared to the other two groups(Pmonstrated that AFC and AmH had the highest accuracy,followed by basal FSH level and age in the prediction of low ovarian reserves(Palues of≤4.50 and≤0.95 for AFC and AmH,***,the ROC analysis showed that AFC had the highest accuracy,followed by AmH level and age in the prediction of high ovarian reserves with a cutoff value of≥14.50,≥3.63,and≤27.50 years,respectively(Pmen's age,estradiol level,and oocyte fertilization rate in pregnant women compared to non-pregnant women(Pally,sign
