Talinopsis frutescens(Anacampserotaceae,a family that is close related to Cactaceae)is a succulent species endemic to North *** aim of this study was to explore,using Ecological Niche modeling(ENm),changes in potential distribution ranges considering different climate scenarios:past conditions during the Last Inter Glacial(LIG)and the Last Glacial maximum(LGm),the present and projections for 2070(RCP 2.6 to 8.5).A pattern of contraction is observed during the LIG,which agrees with other studies focused in species from arid *** pattern was followed by a migration towards the south during the LGm and a possible recent expansion to the north as is observed in the present *** future projections show the same contraction and fragmentation patterns,resulting in three discontinuous areas:the northern part of the Chihuahuan Desert,the southern-central part of the mexican Plateau,and the smallest one in the Tehuacán-Cuicatlán *** projections for future scenarios agree with other studies and support that global climate change tends to alter the current distribution of arid environment species.

This paper introduces the mathematical model of ammonia and urea reactors and suggested three methods for designing a special purpose controller. The first proposed method is Adaptive model predictive controller, the second is Adaptive Neural Network model Predictive Control, and the third is Adaptive neuro-fuzzy sliding mode controller. These methods are applied to a multivariable nonlinear system as an ammonia–urea reactor system. The main target of these controllers is to achieve stabilization of the outlet concentration of ammonia and urea, a stable reaction rate, an increase in the conversion of carbon monoxide(CO) into carbon dioxide(CO_2) to reduce the pollution effect, and an increase in the ammonia and urea productions, keeping the NH_3/CO_2 ratio equal to 3 to reduce the unreacted CO_2 and NH_3, and the two reactors' temperature in the suitable operating ranges due to the change in reactor parameters or external disturbance. Simulation results of the three controllers are compared. Comparative analysis proves the effectiveness of the suggested Adaptive neurofuzzy sliding mode controller than the two other controllers according to external disturbance and the change of parameters. moreover, the suggested methods when compared with other controllers in the literature show great success in overcoming the external disturbance and the change of parameters.

The cooling of a(pebble bed)spent fuel in a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor(HTGR)is adversely affected by an increase in the temperature of the used gas(air).To investigate this problem,a configuration consisting of three copper spheres arranged in tandem subjected to a forced mistflow inside a cylindrical channel is *** heat transfer coefficients and related variations as a function of Reynolds number are investigated *** experimental results show that when compared to those with only airflow,the heat transfer coefficient of the spherical elements with mistflow(j=112 kg/m2 hr,Re=55000)increases by 180%,75%,and 20%,respec-tively for thefirst,second,and third spherical element(the corresponding heat transfer enhancement ratio being 2.3,1.4,and 1.1).Additional numerical simulations reveal that the presence of stagnant zones with intense vortex formation around each spherical element contributes significantly to determine the heat transfer behavior.

The optimization of the scaffolds to provide a suitable matrix and accelerate the regeneration process is vital for bone tissue ***,poor mechanical and biological characteristics remain the primary challenges that must be *** example,although bredigite(Br)has shown great potential for application in bone tissue engineering,it easily fails in *** the present work,these challenges are addressed by reinforcing the Br matrix with nanosheets of graphene oxide(rGO)that have been reduced by bovine serum albumin(BSA)in order to enhance the mechanical properties and biological *** reduction of graphene oxide by BSA improves the water stability of the nanosheets and provides an electrostatic interaction between theBSA-rGO nanosheets and theBr *** high thermal conductivity of theBSA-rGO nanosheets decreases the porosity of the Br by transferring heat to the core of the ***,the addition of BSA-rGO nanosheets into the Br matrix enhances the adhesion of G-292 cells on the surface of the *** findings suggest that the tablet consisting of BSA-rGO-reinforced Br has encouraging potential for application in bone tissue engineering.

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is one of the primary vital degenerative diseases that affect the Central Nervous System among elderly *** affect their quality of life drastically and millions of seniors are diagnosed with PD every year *** models have been presented earlier to detect the PD using various types of measurement data like speech,gait patterns,*** identification of PD is important owing to the fact that the patient can offer important details which helps in slowing down the progress of *** recently-emerging Deep Learning(DL)models can leverage the past data to detect and classify *** this motivation,the current study develops a novel Colliding Bodies Optimization Algorithm with Optimal Kernel Extreme Learning machine(CBO-OKELm)for diagnosis and classification of *** goal of the proposed CBO-OKELm technique is to identify whether PD exists or ***-OKELm technique involves the design of Colliding Bodies Optimization-based Feature Selection(CBO-FS)technique for optimal subset of *** addition,Water Strider Algorithm(WSA)with Kernel Extreme Learning machine(KELm)model is also developed for the classification of *** algorithm is used to elect the optimal set of fea-tures whereas WSA is utilized for parameter tuning of KELm model which alto-gether helps in accomplishing the maximum PD diagnostic *** experimental analysis was conducted for CBO-OKELm technique against four benchmark datasets and the model portrayed better performance such as 95.68%,96.34%,92.49%,and 92.36%on Speech PD,Voice PD,Hand PD mean-der,and Hand PD Spiral datasets respectively.

The development of microchannels with open flow for use in irrigation and rainy areas is challenged by electricity generation via hydrokinetic devices in shallow and low velocity *** hydrokinetic turbines are known to be highly dependent on current speed and water *** drawback of conventional turbines is their low *** shortcomings lead to the need to accelerate the flow in the channel system to enhance the extracted *** method of deploying a novel turbine configuration in irrigation channels can help overcome the low performance of conventional hydrokinetic ***,this study experimentally presents a bidirectional diffuser-augmented channel that includes dual cross flow/Banki *** show that the maximum efficiency of the overall system with two turbines is nearly 55.7%.The efficiency is low relative to that of hydraulic ***,the result can be considered satisfactory given the low head of the present *** use of this system will contribute to a highly efficient utilization of flows in rivers and channels for electrical energy generation in rural areas.

AIm： To determine the prevalence and possible risk factors of Barrett＇s esophagus （BE） in patients with chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease （GERD） in EI minya and Assuit, Upper Egypt. mETHODS： One thousand consecutive patients with chronic GERD symptoms were included in the study over 2 years. They were subjected to history taking including a questionnaire for GERD symptoms, clinical examination and upper digestive tract endoscopy. Endoscopic signs suggestive of columnar-lined esophagus （CLE） were defined as mucosal tongues or an upward shift of the squamocolumnar junction. BF was diagnosed by pathological examination when specialized intestinal metaplasia was detected histologically in suspected CLE. pH was monitored in 40 patients. RESULTS： BE was present in 7.3% of patients with chronic GERD symptoms, with a mean age of 48.3 ± 8.2 years, which was significantly higher than patients with GERD without BE （37.4 ± 13.6 years）. Adenocarcinoma was detected in eight cases （0.8%）, six of them in BE patients. There was no significant difference between patients with BE and GERD regarding sex, smoking, alcohol consumption or symptoms of GERD. Patients with BE had significantly longer esophageal acid exposure time in the supine position, measured by pH monitoring. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of BE in patients with GERD who were referred for endoscopy was 7.3%. BE seems to be associated with older age and more in patients with nocturnal gastroesophageal reflux.

The recently developed machine learning(mL)models have the ability to obtain high detection rate using biomedical ***,this article develops an Optimal Sparse Autoencoder based Sleep Stage Classiﬁcation model on Electroencephalography(EEG)Biomedical Signals,named OSAE-SSCEEG *** major intention of the OSAE-SSCEEG technique is toﬁnd the sleep stage disorders using the EEG biomedical *** OSAE-SSCEEG technique primarily undergoes preprocessing using min-max data normalization ***,the classiﬁcation of sleep stages takes place using the Sparse Autoencoder with Smoothed Regularization(SAE-SR)with softmax(Sm)***,the parameter optimization of the SAE-SR technique is carried out by the use of Coyote Optimization Algorithm(COA)and it leads to boosted classiﬁcation efﬁ*** order to ensure the enhanced performance of the OSAE-SSCEEG technique,a wide ranging simulation analysis is performed and the obtained results demonstrate the betterment of the OSAE-SSCEEG tech-nique over the recent methods.

A high percentage of failure in pump elements originates from *** study focuses on the discharge section behavior,made of ductile iron,under dynamic *** experimental protocol is established to collect the strain under pressurization and depressurization tests at specific *** experimental results are used to formulate the ultimate pressure expression function of the strain and the lateral surface of the discharge section and to validate finite element ***-Safe is then used to assess the fatigue life cycle using different types of fatigue criteria(Coffin-manson,morrow,Goodman,and Soderberg).When the pressure is under 3000 PSI,pumps have an unlimited service life of 107 cycles,regardless of the ***,for a pressure of 3555 PSI,only the morrow criterion denotes a significant decrease in fatigue life cycles,as it considers the average *** topological optimization is then applied to the most critical pump model(with the lowest fatigue life cycle)to increase its fatigue *** the solid isotropic material with a penalization approach,the Abaqus Topology Optimizationmodule is *** goal is to reduce the strain energy density while keeping the volume within *** to the findings,a 5%volume reduction causes the strain energy density to decrease from 1.06 to 0.66106 J/m^(3).According to morrow,the fatigue life cycle at 3,555 PSI is 782,425 longer than the initial 309,742 cycles.

A cyber physical energy system(CPES)involves a combination of pro-cessing,network,and physical *** smart grid plays a vital role in the CPES model where information technology(IT)can be related to the physical *** the same time,the machine learning(mL)modelsﬁnd useful for the smart grids integrated into the CPES for effective decision ***,the smart grids using mL and deep learning(DL)models are anticipated to lessen the requirement of placing many power plants for electricity *** this aspect,this study designs optimal multi-head attention based bidirectional long short term memory(OmHA-mBLSTm)technique for smart grid stability predic-tion in *** proposed OmHA-mBLSTm technique involves three subpro-cesses such as pre-processing,prediction,and hyperparameter *** OmHA-mBLSTm technique employs min-max normalization as a pre-proces-sing ***,the mBLSTm model is applied for the prediction of stability level of the smart grids in *** the same time,the moth swarm algorithm(mHA)is utilized for optimally modifying the hyperparameters involved in the mBLSTm *** ensure the enhanced outcomes of the OmHA-mBLSTm technique,a series of simulations were carried out and the results are inspected under several *** experimental results pointed out the better outcomes of the OmHA-mBLSTm technique over the recent models.
