This work aimed to tune the comprehensive properties of Fe-P-C-based amorphous system through investigating the role of microalloying process on the crystallization behavior,glass forming ability(GFA),soft magnetic features,and mechanical *** minor addition of elements into the system,it was found that the simultaneous microalloying of Ni and Co leads to the highest GFA,which was due to the optimization of compositional heterogeneity and creation of near-eutectic ***,the FeCoNiCuPC amorphous alloy exhibited the best anelastic/viscoplastic behavior under the nanoindentation test,which was owing to the intensified structural fluctuations in the ***,the improved plasticity by the extra Cu addition comes at the expense of magnetic properties,so that the saturation magnetization of this alloying system is significantly decreased compared to the FeCoPC amorphous alloy with the highest soft magnetic *** total,the results indicated that a combination of added elemental constitutes,i.e.,Fe69Co5Ni5Cu1P13C7 composition,provides an optimized state for the comprehensive properties in the alloying system.

Fatigue Life Estimation of High Strength 2090-T83 Aluminum Alloy under Pure Torsion Loading Using Various Machine Learning Techniques

The ongoing effort to create methods for detecting and quantifying fatigue damage is motivated by the high levels of uncertainty in present fatigue-life prediction approaches and the frequently catastrophic nature of fatigue *** fatigue life of high strength aluminum alloy 2090-T83 is predicted in this study using a variety of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for constant amplitude and negative stress ratios(R?1).Artificial neural networks(ANN),adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFiS),support-vector machines(SVM),a random forest model(RF),and an extreme-gradient tree-boosting model(XGB)are trained using numerical and experimental input data obtained from fatigue tests based on a relatively low number of stress *** particular,the coefficients of the traditional force law formula are found using relevant numerical *** is shown that,in comparison to traditional approaches,the neural network and neuro-fuzzy models produce better results,with the neural network models trained using the boosting iterations technique providing the best *** strong models from weak models,XGB helps to predict fatigue life by reducing model partiality and variation in supervised *** neural models can be used to predict the fatigue life of alloys more accurately than neural networks and traditional methods.

The objective of the presented study is to perform a vibration analysis and investigate the stability of a viscoelastic-fluid conveying pipe with an intermediate *** mathematical model is elaborated in the framework of the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory in combination with the Kelvin-Voight viscoelastic *** resulting differential equation of motion and the related boundary conditions and compatibility conditions in the mid-span support are solved analytically using a power series *** results show that an intermediate support located atξ_(s)=0.1 andξ_(s)=0.5 increases the critical velocity up to 35%and 50.15%,***,the non-dimensional critical velocity for an intermediate support atξ_(s)=0.1 is 4.83.

We present the main thermoluminescence characteristics of a newly borate glass dosimeter modified with lithium and potassium carbonate(LKB)and co-doped with CuO and *** enhancement of about three times has been shown with the increment of 0.1mol%MgO as a co-dopant *** effects of dose linearity,storage capacity,effective atomic number and energy dose response are *** proposed dosimeter shows a simple glow curve,good linearity up to 10^(3) Gy,close effective atomic number and photon energy *** current results suggest using the proposed dosimeter in different dosimetric applications.

The Effects of Rosemary (<i>Rosmarinus officinalis</i>) Leaves Powder on Glucose Level, Lipid Profile and Lipid Perodoxation

introduction: Various herbs have been used as treatment and prevention for several chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and triglyceridemia;one of those herbs is Rosemary, which has biological antioxidant mechanisms. Rosemary is a thorny Rhamnaceous plant which is widely distributed in Europe and South-Eastern Asia. it’s used in traditional medicine for its therapeutic properties. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) leaves powder on glucose level and lipid profile in human. Material and Methods: Forty eight adults’ men and women participated in this study which has been carried out in the UOK University. The participants were randomly selected and divided into 3 groups. The first group was given 2 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder, the second group was given 5 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder while the third group was given 10 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder for a period of 4 weeks. Blood samples were analyzed for glucose, lipid profile and antioxidant at the beginning and the end of the study and the results were statistically analyzed. Results: The results indicated that a significant decrease in blood glucose level in the groups given 5 g and 10 g of the herb powder was observed but the difference was more significant in the group given 10 g/day. Values for total cholesterol and triglycerides were very significantly lower in the three treated groups. LDL-C level was significantly lower in the group given 10 g of the herb powder, while the increased levels of HDL-C was statistically significant in the group that was given 10 g/day. With regard to lipid peroxidation, giving 10 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder decreased significantly MDA and GR values whereas significantly increases the values of vitamin C and β carotene. Conclusion: in conclusion Rosmarinus officinalis appears to improve not only hyperglycemia but also dyslipidemia in a dose dependent manner and decreases lipid peroxidation

Understanding the relation between spatial heterogeneity and structural rejuvenation is one of the hottest topics in the field of metallic glasses(MGs).in this work,molecular dynamics(MD)simulation is implemented to discover the effects of initial spatial heterogeneity on the level of rejuvenation in the Ni_(80)P_(20)*** this purpose,the samples are prepared with cooling rates of 10^(10) K/s-10^(12) K/s to make glassy alloys with different atomic ***,it is found that the increase in the cooling rate leads the Gaussian-type shear modulus distribution to widen,indicating the aggregations in both elastically soft and hard *** the primary evaluations,the elastostatic loading is also used to transform structural rejuvenation into the atomic *** results indicate that the sample with intermediate structural heterogeneity prepared with 10^(11) K/s exhibits the maximum structural rejuvenation which is due to the fact that the atomic configuration in an intermediate structure contains more potential sites for generating the maximum atomic rearrangement and loosely packed regions under an external *** features of atomic rearrangement and structural changes under the rejuvenation process are discussed in detail.
