Impact of Ursodeoxycholic Acid on Gall Stone Formation Post Bariatric Surgery

Introduction: Bariatric surgery is identified as highly effective therapy for obesity and help to loss wight that is become important public health priority because it increases the risk of condition including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and several types of cancer whether by accomplishing mini-gastric bypass, Gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y) and sleeve gastrectomy [1] rapid weight loss increased incidence risk of gall stone formation [2]. Ursodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid which affect a reduction in cholesterol in biliary fluid primary by dispersing the cholesterol and forming a liquid-crystal phase [2], it’s can play a significant role in preventing of gall stone formation. Objective: Study potential effect of Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) on gall stone formation after bariatric surgery. Methods: This study Cross-sectional Trials, review of all patient underwent bariatric surgery November 2021-Jun 2022, Taif Military Hospital in the department of surgery, the sample of study will be around 143 participants or more, data collection all patient underwent bariatric surgery. Results: A Total of 160 patients underwent bariatric surgery in Taif Armed Forces Hospitals from 2015 to 2021. Of these, 53 were male (33.1%) and 107 were female (66.9%). only 33 patients (20.6%) received Ursodeoxycholic acid, and 127 patients (79.4%) weren’t proscribed for them. However, 40 patients (25%) develop gall stone and underwent cholecystectomy, three of them were on Ursodeoxycholic acid (9%) and 37 patients weren’t on Ursodeoxycholic acid (29%). which shows that Ursodeoxycholic acid remarkable reduce the risk of gall stone formation post wight reduction surgery. Conclusion: In conclusion, bariatric procedures come with the risk of leading to the formation of gallstones. This is especially in the stage when a patient experiences rapid loss of weight. The development of bi-functional electrocatalyst with high catalytic activity and stable performance for both oxygen evolution/reduction reactions(OER/ORR)in aqueous alkaline solution is key to realize practical application of zinc-air batteries(ZABs).In this study,we reported a new porous nano-micro-composite as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for ZABs,devised by the in situ growth of metal-organic framework(MOF)nanocrystals onto the micrometersized Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3(BSCF)perovskite *** carbonization,MOF was converted to porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanocages and ultrafine cobalt oxides and CoN4 nanoparticles dispersing inside the carbon nanocages,which further anchored on the surface of BSCF *** homogeneously dispersed BSCF perovskite particles in the surfactant;subsequently,ZIF-67 nanocrystals were grown onto the BSCF *** this way,leaching of metallic or organic species in MOFs and the aggregation of BSCF were effectively suppressed,thus maximizing the number of active sites for improving *** BSCF in turn acted as catalyst to promote the graphitization of carbon during pyrolysis,as well as to optimize the transition metal-tocarbon ratio,thus enhancing the ORR catalytic activity.A ZAB fabricated from such air electrode showed outstanding performance with a potential gap of only 0.83 V at 5 mA cm-2 for OER/***,no obvious performance degradation was observed for the continuous charge-discharge operation for 1800 cycles over an extended period of 300 h.

Mechanistic Study of Ruthenium(III) Catalyzed Oxidation of Cyclohexanone by Acidic Bromate

In this work, kinetics and mechanism of Ru(III) catalyzed oxidation of cyclohexanone by acidified solution of potassium bromate has been studied. Present study employ mercuric acetate Hg (OAc)2 as a scavenger for Br¯?ion to prevent parallel oxidation by bromine. The kinetics and mechanism have also been studied in the temperature range of 30°C - 45°C. The reaction exhibits first order kinetics with respect to Ru (III), while zero order kinetics with respect to KBrO3 and HClO4. The influence of Hg(OAc)2 and ionic strength on the rate of reaction was found to be insignificant. Positive effect in the reaction mixture was also observed upon addition of chloride ion;while as the negative effect was revealed with acetic acid. A suitable mechanism in conformity with the kinetic observations has been proposed and the rate law is derived on the basis of obtained data. The various activation parameters such as energy of activation (ΔE*), Arrhenius factor (A), entropy of activation (ΔS*) were calculated from the rate measurements at 30°C, 35°C - 40°C and 45°C.

于福建省安溪县桃舟乡,选择宿根连作20年茶园进行田间试验。以未施肥(CK)、氮肥(NF)、羊粪(GM)及豆科绿肥(LF)等处理后的茶树根际土壤作为供试土样,分析不同肥料对茶树根际土壤理化特性、微生物代谢活性及其不同类型磷脂脂肪酸含量变化等影响。结果表明:NF、GM和LF均能够提高茶园土壤pH值和有机质(OM)及速效钾(AK)等含量,其pH分别提高0.47%、2.36%和2.13%;OM分别提高17.56%、27.48%和54.96%;AK分别提高56.10%、63.41%和73.17%;碱解氮(AN)和速效磷(AP)在NF处理下分别下降了9.10%和335.00%;在GM处理下分别提高了17.06%和2.11倍;在LF处理下分别提高了16.70%和3.88倍;同时,施肥能提高土壤脲酶、蔗糖酶、多酚氧化酶和过氧化物酶等活性,且提高效果由高到底依次为LF、GM、NF;酸性磷酸酶活性(ACP)和微生物对磷素利用率(UTP)在NF处理下分别降低70.04%和249.00%;在GM处理下分别提高了24.74%和1.80倍;在LF处理下分别提高34.28%和2.51倍;与此同时,GM和LF还能够提高根际土壤微生物群落丰度以及菌群多样性。综上所述,豆科绿肥和羊粪能够有效改善茶园土壤肥力,促进根际微生物对养分的代谢活性,对提升茶园经济效益和生态效益具有现实意义。
