Rapid population growth in the upper Blue Nile basin has led to fast land-use changes from natural forest to agricultural *** resulted in speeding up the soil erosion process in the highlands and increasing sedimentation further downstream in reservoirs and irrigation *** present,several dams are planned across the Blue Nile River in Ethiopia and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is currently under construction near the border with *** will be the largest hydroelectric power plant in *** objective of this paper is to quantify the river flows and sediment loads along the Blue Nile River *** Soil and Water Assessment Tool was used to estimate the water flows from un-gauged *** assess model performance,the estimated sediment loads were compared to the measured ones at selected *** the gauged sub-basins,water flows and sediment loads were derived from the available flow and sediment *** fill in knowledge gaps,this study included a field survey in which new data on suspended solids and flow discharge were collected along the Blue Nile and on a number of *** comparison between the results of this study and previous estimates of the sediment load of the Blue Nile River at El Deim,near the Ethiopian Sudanese border,show that the sediment budgets have the right order of magnitude,although some uncertainties *** gives confidence in the results of this study providing the first sediment balance of the entire Blue Nile catchment at the sub-basin scale.

Solid lipid nanoparticles for nose to brain delivery of haloperidol:in vitro drug release and pharmacokinetics evaluation

In the present study,haloperidol(HP)-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs)were prepared to enhance the uptake of HP to brain via intranasal(i.n.)*** were prepared by a modified emulsification-diffusion technique and evaluated for particle size,zeta potential,drug entrapment efficiency,in vitro drug release,and *** parameters were found to be in an acceptable *** vitro drug release was found to be 94.1674.78%after 24 h and was fitted to the Higuchi model with a very high correlation coefficient(R2¼0.9941).Pharmacokinetics studies were performed on albino Wistar rats and the concentration of HP in brain and blood was measured by high performance liquid *** brain/blood ratio at 0.5 h for HP-SLNs i.n.,HP *** HP *** 1.61,0.17 and 0.031,respectively,indicating direct nose-to-brain transport,bypassing the blood-brain *** maximum concentration(Cmax)in brain achieved from *** of HP-SLNs(329.17720.89 ng/mL,Tmax 2 h)was significantly higher than that achieved after i.v.(76.9577.62 ng/mL,Tmax 1 h),and i.n.(90.1376.28 ng/mL,Tmax 2 h)administration of HP *** highest drug-targeting efficiency(2362.43%)and direct transport percentage(95.77%)was found with HP-SLNs as compared to the other *** DTE(%)and DTP(%)suggest that HP-SLNs have better brain targeting efficiency as compared to other formulations.

Secure design for cloud control system against distributed denial of service attack

Nowadays, the development of cloud computing has given power to the resource-constrained network control system （NCS） to out-source heavy computations to the cloud server. However, the development of Cloud Computing produced many security challenges regarding the cyber-physical connection between the cloud and control system. The connection between the control system and cloud server can be subjected to distributed denial of service （DDoS） attack by an attacker to destabilize the NCS. In this paper, we will address this issue by building a secure mechanism for such systems. We will design a detection approach and a mitigation approach for better stable performance of NCS. To ensure the stability of NCS at the time of DDoS attack, we will also design a switching mechanism （Sm） for cloud control system （CCS） when there are no more real time solutions available from the cloud. Finally, we will apply the proposed mechanism to an unmanned arial vehicle （UAV）. Our simulation results show that the mechanism works well in stability and protection of NCS under DDoS attack.

本研究采用微分变换法和Akbari-Ganji法,研究了施加均匀磁场对纳米流体在两个无限平行板间流动的自然对流传热的影响。在得到控制方程并在特定边界条件下求解问题后,研究了Prandtl数、挤压次数、Schmidt数、Hartmann数、Eckert数、布朗运动参数和热电泳参数等主要参数的影响。将相似变换用于求解常微分方程组,并与Rung-Kutta四阶数值法进行对比。研究结果表明,增加挤压次数会导致速度减慢,增加Hartman数也有类似的影响。此外,温度随着Hartman数、Eckert数和热电泳参数的增大而升高,且与Prandtl数成正比。我们对比研究了Akbari-Ganji法和微分变换法求解非线性微分方程,结果表明,前者需要的计算步骤更少和计算时间更短,是一种更有效的方法。使用建议的方法获得的解与文献中的解一致。这些结果有助于研究人员更快、更容易地进行分析,并为纳米流体在电磁场存在下流动的复杂行为提供重要见解。

Determination of “indeterminate score” measurements in lean nonalcoholic fatty liver disease patients from western Saudi Arabia

modelling lane-changing execution behaviour in a connected environment:A grouped random parameters with heterogeneity-in-means approach

Lane-changing is performed either to follow the route to a planned destination(i.e.,mandatory lane-changing)or to achieve better driving conditions(i.e.,discretionary lane-changing).A connected environment is expected to assist during lane-changing manoeuvres,but it is not known well how driving aids in a connected environment assist lane-changing *** such,this study investigates the impact of a connected environment on lanechanging execution time during mandatory and discretionary lane-changing *** this end,this study designed an advanced driving simulator experiment where 78 drivers performed these manoeuvres on a simulated motorway in three randomised driving *** conditions were baseline(without driving aids),a fully functioning connected environment with a perfect supply of driving aids,and an impaired connected environment with delayed driving *** lane-changing execution time has been modelled by a random parameters hazard-based duration modelling approach,which accounts for the panel nature of data and captures the unobserved *** suggest that,compared to the baseline condition(i.e.,a non-connected environment),most of the drivers in the connected environment take more time to complete their lane-changing manoeuvres,indicating drivers’safer lane-changing execution behaviour in the connected *** communication delay driving condition has been found to have more deteriorating effects on mandatory lanechanging manoeuvres than discretionary lane-changing *** study concludes that(i)the connected environment increases safety margin during both lane-changing manoeuvres,and(ii)a higher magnitude of safety margin is observed during mandatory lane-changing manoeuvres whereby drivers have a higher need for assistance.

mulberry is economically important and can also play a pivotal role in mitigating greenhouse *** and shoot traits were measured for morus alba ***,*** ***,*** ***,and *** ***-1 to assess aboveground biomass(AGB)and carbon ***-specific and multivariety allometric AGB models were developed using the equivalent diameter at breast height(EDBH)and plant height(H).The completeharvest method was used to measure leaf and shoot traits and biomass,and the ash method was used to measure organic carbon *** results showed significant(pmean±SE:1828.3±0.3 leaves tree^(-1)),Karyansuban had the largest mean leaf area(185.94±8.95 cm^(2)).A diminishing return was found between leaf area and leaf *** had the highest shoot density per tree(46.6±1.83 shoots tree^(-1)),total shoot length(264.1±2.32 m),dry biomass(16.69±0.58 kg tree^(-1)),carbon sequestration(9.99±0.32 kg tree^(-1))and CO_(2) mitigation(36.67±1.16 kg).The variety-specific AGB models b(EDBH)and b(EDBH)2 showed good fit and reasonable accuracy with a coefficient of determination(R^(2))=0.98-0.99,standard error of estimates(SEE)=0.1125-0.3130 and root mean square error(RmSE)=*** multivariety models bln(EDBH)and(EDBH)0.756 showed good-fitness and accuracy with R^(2)=0.85-0.86,SEE=1.6231-1.6445 and RmSE=*** the basis of these findings,variety Latifolia has good potential for biomass production,and allometric equations based on EDBH can be used to estimate AGB with a reasonable accuracy.

Analysis of Classical Encryption Techniques in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has become a significant computing model in the IT industry. In this emerging model,computing resources such as software, hardware, networking, and storage can be accessed anywhere in the world on a pay-per-use basis. However, storing sensitive data on un-trusted servers is a challenging issue for this model. To guarantee confidentiality and proper access control of outsourced sensitive data, classical encryption techniques are used. However, such access control schemes are not feasible in cloud computing because of their lack of flexibility, scalability, and fine-grained access control. Instead, Attribute-Based Encryption（ABE） techniques are used in the cloud. This paper extensively surveys all ABE schemes and creates a comparison table for the key criteria for these schemes in cloud applications.
