In this study fuzzy logic system was used for optimization parametric evaluation system in surface and trickle *** study was performed on a surface area of 5175 ha in fathali region located in Ardabil province of *** was indicated that for trickle and surface irrigation respectively an area of about 2941.35 ha(56.77%)and 159.81 ha(3%)of the lands is“highly suitable”and an area of about 246.43 ha(4.7%)and 312.69 ha(6%)is“moderately suitable”.About 797.1 ha(15.4%)and 2744.17 ha(53.02%)were respectively“marginally suitable”for trickle and surface irrigations.“Currently not suitable”suitability included about 737.58 ha(14.2%)and 1746.05 ha(33.7%)and“Permanently not suitable”suitability matched 458.54 ha(8.86%)and 212.28 ha(4.1%)in the zone under *** to the results,there is a major difference between the“highly suitable”lands obtained through the two methods and the area of“highly suitable”lands in the trickle method is about 18 times of the area of“highly suitable”obtained through the surface irrigation *** a result,considering the gradual changes of soil parameters,fuzzy evaluation leads to more accuracy compared to the parametric non fuzzy *** and large,it can be said that fuzzy method,shows higher qualities about the suitability of lands for trickle irrigation.

Spur dike is one of the river training structures. This work presented a numerical simulation of flow field and three-dimensional velocity around a T-shaped spur dike located in bend using SSIIM model. The main objective of this work is to investigate the three-dimensional velocities and streamlines at transverse and longitudinal sections and plan views around the T-shaped spur dike in different submergence ratios(0, 5%, 15%, 25% and 50%). It is concluded that by increasing the submergence ratio from 5% to 50%, the maximum of scour is reduced; the maximum of longitudinal velocity increases by 7.7% and occurs at the water surface in spur dike axis. Near the bed, the maximum of vertical velocity occurs at the end of spur wing. By analyzing the streamlines at transverse sections, the followings were deduced for different submergence ratios: different dimensions and different positions of vortices around the spur dike.

The groundwater may recharge the surface water bodies through seepage faces and *** spatial correlation between the fault zones and the groundwater seepage faces results in deep understanding of the hydrogeologic regime,especially where there is no monitoring *** these recharging zones by conventional methods is a challenging task;particularly in areas where(1)there is no hydrogeologic monitoring boreholes or reliable data,(2)private pumps withdraw the stream,and(3)intense canopy limits the use of drones and satellite *** paper aims to study the relationship between the fault zones and occurrence of the groundwater seepage faces by using the high resolution handheld thermal imaging cameras as a tool to locate the seepage faces along a small river in the Damavand County,north of *** correlation between the structural geology features and occurrence of the groundwater seepage faces revealed that the stream in the study area is being recharged by the groundwater at extensive fault ***,this study suggests that the handheld thermal imaging cameras are a useful robust tools to evaluate the surface-groundwater ***,it is essential to use the field structural geologic and hydrogeologic observations to interpret the thermal images.

Underground structures are susceptible to float and move upward during earthquakes when located in a liquefiable soil *** are examples of this phenomenon in past major earthquake *** this study,the uplift of circular tunnels in a liquefiable sand layer was investigated with a series of shaking table *** research has focused on the buried depth of the tunnel,tunnel diameter,tunnel weight,liquefaction extent,uplift mechanism,and factor of safety against liquefaction-induced *** to the test results,the shallow buried depth,larger diameter,and lower weight can intensify the tunnel uplift,so the displacement in post-liquefaction time continues at the same rate as during the shaking *** to the shear-induced dilation,pore water pressure generation around the tunnel was reduced compared with that of the free *** excess pore water pressure dissipation in the soil overlying the uplifted tun-nel was significant,which leads to suction in the soil ***,the acceleration response of overlying soil with the uplifted tunnel was similar to that of the free ***,the soil acceleration response around the tunnel without uplift was similar to the base motion.

Lateral deformation of liquefiable soil is a cause of much damage during earthquakes, reportedly more than other forms of liquefaction-induced ground failures. Researchers have presented studies in which the liquefied soil is considered as viscous fluid. In this manner, the liquefied soil behaves as non-Newtonian fluid, whose viscosity decreases as the shear strain rate increases. The current study incorporates computational fluid dynamics to propose a simplified dynamic analysis for the liquefaction-induced lateral deformation of earth slopes. The numerical procedure involves a quasi-linear elastic model for small to moderate strains and a Bingham fluid model for large strain states during liquefaction. An iterative procedure is considered to estimate the strain-compatible shear stiffness of soil. The post-liquefaction residual strength of soil is considered as the initial Bingham viscosity. Performance of the numerical procedure is examined by using the results of centrifuge model and shaking table tests together with some field observations of lateral ground deformation. The results demonstrate that the proposed procedure predicts the time history of lateral ground deformation with a reasonable degree of precision.

Bone cements are often used for bone repair and fixation. The main objective of formulating a bone cement is to achieve structure and properties similarity to bone. In addition, bioactivity of a bone cement provides a major advantage that helps achieving better binding and interaction with the surrounding tissues. In the current study, gypsum was used as a matrix for a composite that comprises highly crys- talline prestine and acid-treated wollastonite （CaSiO3） fibers. Composites made by mixing their powder precursors with deionized water at room temperature, were investigated for their composition using X-ray diffraction （XRD） and Thermogravimetric Analysis （TGA）, for their microstructure using Scanning Electron Microscopy （SEM）, for their compressive strengths and modulus of elasticity, and for setting time measurements. In addition, cement composites were evaluated for their preliminary bioactivity in a protein-free Simulated Body Fluid （SBF） for up to 14 days. Results show the improvement of mechanical properties and bioactivity of the composites using acid-treated wollastonite fibers. This was attributed to the formation of hydrated silica layer on the surface of the acid-treated fibers which improved the binding with the gypsum matrix and provided nucleating sites for the deposition of bone-like apatite spherolites from SBF media.

In this study,drained and undrained triaxial tests under isotropic and anisotropic consolidations were conducted on reconstituted samples of Babolsar sand,which underlies a densely populated,seismic region of the southern coast of the Caspian Sea,Mazandaran,*** was demonstrated that the sand experienced all possible states of liquefiable soil: flow failure,limited flow,and *** steady-state and flow liquefaction lines of this sand were presented and compared with previously tested *** is shown that the initial stress anisotropy can affect the potential of volume change and pore pressure *** steady-state line(SSL),however,remains identical for the isotropically and anisotropically consolidated specimens under drained and undrained *** tests data were then analyzed in order to investigate the liquefaction susceptibility of this sand in terms of parameters such as the state parameter,relative state parameter index,and lateral earth pressure ratio at failure.

Several autoimmune ailments and inflammation-related diseases emphasize the need for peptide-based therapeutics for their treatment and established substantial ***,the wet-lab experiments for the investigation of anti-inflammatory proteins/peptides(“AIP”)are usually very costly and remain ***,before wet-lab investigations,it is essential to develop in-silico identification models to classify prospective anti-inflammatory candidates for the facilitation of the drug development *** anti-inflammatory prediction tools have been proposed in the recent past,yet,there is a space to induce enhancement in prediction performance in terms of precision and *** exceedingly accurate antiinflammatory prediction model is proposed,named AntiFlamPred(“Antiinflammatory Peptide Predictor”),by incorporation of encoded features and probing machine learning algorithms including deep *** proposed model performs best in conjunction with deep *** testing and validation were applied including cross-validation,self-consistency,jackknife,and independent set *** proposed model yielded 0.919 value for area under the curve(AUC)and revealed Mathew’s correlation coefficient(MCC)equivalent to 0.735 demonstrating its effectiveness and ***,the proposed model was also extensively probed in comparison with other existing *** performance of the proposed model also out-performs other existing *** outcomes establish that the proposed model is a robust predictor for identifying AIPs and may subsidize well in the extensive lab-based ***,it has the potential to assiduously support medical and bioinformatics research.

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine is the Saudi national reference for all activities regarding complementary medicine. This article briefly highlights the current state of complementary medicine regulation in Saudi Arabia.
