The aim of this study is to analyze of the cable-glass systems which are used on the glass curtain wall according to their types, degree, architectural and structural effects. The suspended glass system with pre-stressed cable truss (SGSPCT) is widely started to apply after the 1980’s with Serres building. The advantages of these systems are to provide the transparency on the fa?ades and speedy construction process with minimum materials. The disadvantages are: more expensive than other systems and so many details for the joints and load distribution calculations. There are three different architectural design typologies of the SGSPCT system. These are distance bridging systems, between floor system and independent body. These three different typologies can be seen on the same building at the same time. This system has been known as complex structure systems. The twenty five glass buildings which are designed in different systems have been analyzed during this study. After these analyses the five glass buildings which are designed with cable-truss system have been selected for scope of the study. These selected buildings have been included of three different cable-truss system typologies and degree. The methodology of this study is literature survey and building analyses method. The written and visual documents involve books, theses, reports, articles, magazines, drawings, internet sources and applied connection details of the glass buildings. The selected five glass buildings have been detailed analyzed with their architectural drawings, photographs and details. The study consists of five chapters including the introduction chapter. The general information of the glass building and cable-glass system has been mentioned in the first chapter. The structural features, details and analytical information on systems have been explained of the selected buildings in the second chapter. An overlooked effect of systemic anticholinergics:alteration on accommodation amplitude

AIM： To investigate the effect of oral solifenacin succinate, tolterodine-L-tartarate and oxybutinin hydrochloride（HCl） on accommodation amplitude.·METHODS： Female overactive bladder syndrome（OAB）patients who were planned to use oral anticholinergics,patients that uses solifenacin succinate 5 mg（Group I,n =25）, tolterodine-L-tartarate 4 mg（Group II, n =25）,and oxybutinin HCl 5 mg b.i.d.（Group III, n =25） and age matched healthy female subjects（Group IV, n =25） were recruited and complete ophthalmological examination and accommodation amplitude assessment were done at baseline and 4wk after initiation of treatment.·RESULTS： The mean age of 100 consecutive female subjects was 51.6 ±5.7（40-60）y and there were no statistically significant difference with regard to the mean age（P =0.107） and baseline accommodation amplitude（P =0.148） between study groups. All treatment groups showed a significant decrease in accommodation amplitude following a 4-week course of anticholinergic treatment（P =0.008 in Group I, P =0.002 in Group II, P =0.001 in Group III）, but there was no statistically significant difference in Group IV（P =0.065）.·COnCLUSIOn： A 4-week course of oral anticholinergic treatment have statistically significant effect on accommodation amplitude. Clinicians should avoid both overestimating this result, as this would unnecessarily restrict therapeutic possibilities, and also underestimating it which may lead to drug intolerance.

Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms with certain characteristics such as survival under gastrointestinal conditions,adhesion to intestinal surface and different functions which result in several health benefits to *** this regards,this study aimed to isolate Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) from sourdough and human feces as two different environments and to test their potential probiotic *** total nine distinct isolates were assessed with several probiotic functions such as in vitro adhesion to human colon cells,antimicrobial activities and survival under harsh gastrointestinal *** general,distinct strains showed strong antimicrobial activity against the pathogenic and fungal strains tested in this ***,the adhesion levels to HT29 cells were determined between 0.29 % and 9.54% and Lactobacillus paracasei F7B showed the highest *** isolates tolerated the bile salt after 24 h and the infant feces isolates showed good survival characteristics at pH 4.

Ti-based scaffolds reinforced with zirconia and hydroxyapatite were produced successfully by a hybrid method with an eco-friendliness and low cost to obtain low elastic modulus(E) with sufficient physical, electrochemical and biological properties. The effect of simultaneous modification of the volume fraction of hydroxyapatite(HA) and zirconia(ZrO_(2)) on scaffolds was investigated in terms of mechanical, corrosive, and antibacterial properties. Scanning electron microscopy with attached electron dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction were used for the characterization of scaffolds. Compression and electrochemical tests were performed to determine mechanical properties with detailed fracture mechanism and in-vitro corrosion susceptibility to simulated body fluid at 37 ℃,respectively. Antibacterial tests were carried out by comparing the inhibition areas of *** and *** bacteria. It was observed that the mechanical strength of the scaffolds decreased with increasing HA:ZrO_(2)volume fraction *** lowest E was achieved(6.61 GPa) in 6:4 HA:ZrO_(2)composite scaffolds. Corrosion current density(J_(corr)) values were calculated to be 21, 337, and 504 μ A/cm^(2) for unreinforced Ti, 3:2 and 6:4 HA:ZrO_(2)reinforced scaffolds,respectively. The inhibition capacity of the 6:4 reinforced composite scaffold was found to be more effective against *** bacteria than other scaffolds.

The study aims to propose using a universal heuristic evaluation model （UHEM） to improve the functional and physical performance of residential buildings. Since, ＂everyone should be able to enter and use any part of the built environment as independently and naturally as possible＂, the old buildings should be revitalized with respect to an inclusive approach. However, research on current design practice showed that there is a lack of systematic evaluation and revitalization methods. Hence, the main objective of the proposed UHEM model is to evaluate existing residential environments and requalify them with respect to an inclusive approach. The study concludes by highlighting the importance of UHEM from two points of view：（i） the importance of a systematic evaluation approach to effectively deal with the challenge of requalifying the residential environments and （ii） the designers＇ key role during the revitalization process.

This paper comprises an analysis of the modernist American writer Truman Capote＇s novel The Grass Harp （1951） from a feminist perspective. While the novel treats the ostracizing of four people by the oppressive mindset of a patriarchal society, the female character Dolly Talbo who leads the banished group to live in a tree house becomes the embodiment of a Goddess image introduced by the new Age Spiritualities and neopaganism. Creating a new culture for women as an alternative to the patriarchal system, in which concepts such as love, herbalism, and magic are sanctioned as sacred, and offering this culture as an opportunity to all human beings, Dolly Talbo can be perceived as a contemporary holy witch who becomes an occult and undermining threat to the patriarchal order.

noise pollution is in an increasing trend in the operating rooms, as has been the case in various other domains in life. It has been shown in studies that the main cause of this noise pollution consist of the behavior related to the operating room personel and the surgical equipment. These higher than normal noise levels may increase stress and decrease communication and performance, apart from the negative health effects on the operating team. In this study, we aimed to explore the sources of noise pollution and the place of music on these effects on anesthesiology and surgical doctors. Questions formulated through a questionnaire have been asked to the anesthesiology and surgical department physicians on a voluntary basis, and their approach to the concept of noise has been assessed. The study was planned as a descriptive study. In total, highest impact from noise pollution was found to be the aspirator (74.3%), chatting (55.4%), noises from the monitors (54.8%), alarms (48.6%), surgical material (25.9%) and music (23.8%). noise had the most impact on the concentration of the doctors with a rate of 61.9%. Anesthesiologists, when compared to other surgical department physicians, were found to be impacted most by music with 37.2%. It is not realistic to eliminate all the noise and distraction. On the other hand, it can be minimalized through sufficient measures. Yet, general measures to keep the silence isn’t too likely to keep the noise down during long operations. Whereas music stays as a matter of personal choice. Controlled studies on whether to keep or not the music in the operating rooms aren’t yet sufficient, due to which, general recommendations do not apply. As a result of this study, we have found that while music might have performance increasing effects, it still has a potential as a distraction and interfere with the communication in the operating room.

目的:描述和对比口服降糖药(OAD)和胰岛素治疗2型糖尿病患者眼表的效果。方法:在安卡拉卫生部培训和研究医院就诊的20例40眼口服降糖药患者,20例40眼胰岛素治疗患者,对照组的10例非糖尿病人作为研究对象。对所有患者进行常规眼科检查,Schirmer试验,泪膜破裂时间分析和结膜印迹细胞学分析.比较三组的泪液功能参数,杯状细胞密度和鳞状上皮化生等级。记录视网膜病变及眼表疾病之间的关系。结果:口服降糖药患者泪膜破裂时间值明显低于其他组(P<0.05)。三组的杯状细胞密度和鳞状上皮化生等级相近。上皮细胞稍大,呈现更多的多边形的眼的中位数级为1级,并且嗜酸性染色胞浆和杯状细胞数量减少。视网膜病变与眼表疾病不相关。结论:口服降糖药患者的角膜前泪膜稳定性比其他组差。各组的印迹细胞学分析结果相似。
