Dust particle surface potential in an argonhelium plasma using the(r,q)-distribution function

In this paper,the dust particle surface potential for argon-helium plasma is evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dust particles by employing a power-law(r,q)-distribution *** studies have reported the argon-helium plasma and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our understanding further,this study aims to analyze the argon-helium plasma comprehensively using the same pattern but with the(r,q)-distribution *** this purpose,the current balance equations are derived for electron,helium and argon ions,when these charge species attain the quasineutrality *** numerically examined the currents of plasma species for a broad range of effective distribution function parameters r and *** is revealed that the surface potential of dust particles is significantly affected by the parameters r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number density *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)species,the significance of low-temperature nonMaxwellian dusty(complex)plasma is briefly examined.

Three-dimensional free vibration analysis of multi-directional functionally graded piezoelectric annular plates on elastic foundations via state space based differential quadrature method

The three-dimensional free vibration analysis of a multi-directional func- tionally graded piezoelectric （FGP） annular plate resting on two parameter （Pasternak） elastic foundations is investigated under different boundary conditions. The material properties are assumed to vary continuously along the radial and thickness directions and have exponent-law distribution. A semi-analytical approach named the state space based differential quadrature method （SSDQM） is used to provide an analytical solution along the thickness using the state space method （SSM） and an approximate solution along the radial direction using the one-dimensional differential quadrature method （DQM）. The influence of the Winkler and shear stiffness of the foundation~ the material property graded variations, and the circumferential wave number on the nomdimensional natural frequency of multi-directional FGP annular plates is studied.

Multifunctional core/shell type,luminescent-plasmonic material composed of lanthanide doped microspheres(≈50μm)and gold nanoparticles(Au nPs;≈10-20 nm)deposited onto their surface,were successfully prepared(nd^3+:yas@Au).The material was synthesized to combine the luminescence properties of the nd^3+-doped microspheres,*** resonance with plasmonic activity of the surface Au nPs,*** enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)effect,within a single,micro-sized *** luminescent-plasmonic microspheres were used as the active SERS substrate for detection of the organic probe,and for generation of Whispering Gallery Modes(WGM),which red-shift together with increasing laser power(temperature elevation).The products obtained were analysed with optical,scanning and transmission electron microscopy(SEM and TEM),as well as by Raman,absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopies.

Objective: To investigate the frequency of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) associated symptoms and effects of nutrition on PMS in adolescent girls. Patients and methods: One hundred and seventyone adolescent girls who had menstrual cycles were included in this study. They were given a questionnaire on criteria for PMS, dysmenorrhea and regularity of menstrual cycle. Modified Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental DisordersIV (DSMIV) criteria were used for the diagnosis of PMS. We also investigated which nutritional supplements affect the PMSassociated symptoms and signs. Results: One hundred and five adolescent girls out of 171 (61.4%) met DSMIV criteria for PMS. There was an association between dysmenorrhea and PMS in 60 (57.1%). Half of the girls, i.e. 52 (49.5%) had mild, 39 (37.1%) had moderate and 14 (13.4%) had severe PMS. The most common symptom of PMS was negative affect particularly in the form of stress (87.6%) and nervousness (87.6%). There was a statistically significant negative relationship between milk consumption and the following: abdominal bloating, cramps, craving for some foods and increased appetite. Conclusion: PMS and dysmenorrhea are frequently overlapping. We also found that PMS is associated with dietary habits.
