BACKGROUND Gamification,the use of game materials in education,has been used in several scientific fields,and studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in student *** To evaluate whether the success of 4th-and 5th-grade dentistry students increases when using the gamification applications Kahoot!and *** An experimental design was used to measure the effect of gamification applications on students who were taught using the traditional *** this purpose,Mentimeter and Kahoot!applications were used in this experimental *** groups of 4th-and 5th-grade students were formed:Mentimeter,Kahoot!,and control *** effect of gamification applications on achievement was evaluated by administering a post-test to these groups after the instructional ***-way analysis of variance and t-tests were used for statistical *** A total of 35.5%of the students were in the Mentimeter group,29.8%in the Kahoot!group,and 34.6%in the control *** the total number of students,54.8%were female and 45.2%were male,while 52.2%were 5th-grade students and 47.8%were 4th-grade *** overall grade point average was found to be 66.65(range,24-100).There was a statistically significant difference in average success scores between students of different groups(P=0.003luSION Gamification has a great potential in the education of dentomaxillofacial radiology *** outperformed both the Kahoot!and the traditional method in terms of average student success rates.

Spinal cord injuries lead to significant loss of motor, sensory, and autonomic functions, presenting major challenges in neural regeneration. Achieving effective therapeutic concentrations at injury sites has been a slow process, partly due to the difficulty of delivering drugs effectively. Nanoparticles, with their targeted delivery capabilities, biocompatibility, and enhanced bioavailability over conventional drugs, are garnering attention for spinal cord injury treatment. This review explores the current mechanisms and shortcomings of existing treatments, highlighting the benefits and progress of nanoparticle-based approaches. We detail nanoparticle delivery methods for spinal cord injury, including local and intravenous injections, oral delivery, and biomaterial-assisted implantation, alongside strategies such as drug loading and surface modification. The discussion extends to how nanoparticles aid in reducing oxidative stress, dampening inflammation, fostering neural regeneration, and promoting angiogenesis. We summarize the use of various types of nanoparticles for treating spinal cord injuries, including metallic, polymeric, protein-based, inorganic non-metallic, and lipid nanoparticles. We also discuss the challenges faced, such as biosafety, effectiveness in humans, precise dosage control, standardization of production and characterization, immune responses, and targeted delivery in vivo. Additionally, we explore future directions, such as improving biosafety, standardizing manufacturing and characterization processes, and advancing human trials. Nanoparticles have shown considerable progress in targeted delivery and enhancing treatment efficacy for spinal cord injuries, presenting significant potential for clinical use and drug development.

Seal authentication is an important task for verifying the authenticity of stamped seals used in various domains to protect legal documents from tampering and *** seal inspection is commonly audited manually to ensure document ***,manual assessment of seal images is tedious and laborintensive due to human errors,inconsistent placement,and completeness of the *** image recognition systems are inadequate enough to identify seal types accurately,necessitating a neural network-based method for seal image ***,neural network-based classification algorithms,such as Residual Networks(ResNet)andVisualGeometryGroup with 16 layers(VGG16)yield suboptimal recognition rates on stamp ***,the fixed training data categories make handling new categories to be a challenging *** paper proposes amulti-stage seal recognition algorithmbased on Siamese network to overcome these ***,the seal image is pre-processed by applying an image rotation correction module based on Histogram of Oriented Gradients(HOG).Secondly,the similarity between input seal image pairs is measured by utilizing a similarity comparison module based on the Siamese ***,we compare the results with the pre-stored standard seal template images in the database to obtain the seal *** evaluate the performance of the proposed method,we further create a new seal image dataset that contains two subsets with 210,000 valid labeled pairs in *** proposed work has a practical significance in industries where automatic seal authentication is essential as in legal,financial,and governmental sectors,where automatic seal recognition can enhance document security and streamline validation ***,the experimental results show that the proposed multi-stage method for seal image recognition outperforms state-of-the-art methods on the two established datasets.

Samples of Sm0.5Sr0.5CoO3–δ were annealed in different atmospheres（Ar,N2,and O2） and temperatures（400 1200 oC）,and changes in their masses,structures,surface transport properties,optical properties,and oxygen nonstoichiometries were investigated using thermogravimetric（TG） analyses,X-ray diffraction（XRD） analyses,electrical conductivity measurements,reflection spectra measurements,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,*** TG analyses,performed in air and an N2 atmosphere,allowed us to determine the changes in the masses of the *** results of the XRD analyses elucidated the changes in the structure of the samples under different *** XPS spectra and simulation data indicated that the number of oxygen defects generated in the samples depended on the temperature and *** high temperatures,the surface conductivities and full-spectrum reflectivities of the samples decreased with an increase in the number of oxygen *** an oxidative atmosphere,the samples exhibited outstanding visible and near-infrared light ***,the samples were highly sensitive to a reducing atmosphere at various *** the basis of the fact that the properties of Sm0.5Sr0.5CoO3–δ vary with the environment,it has potential use in high-temperature applications such as weather sensors.

Spatio-temporal patterns and climatic drivers of spring phenology in eight forest communities across the north-south transitional zone of China

Neural networks(NNs) are a type of artificial network system comprised of numerous interconnected basic processing units. In recent years, neural networks have been widely applied in computer technology, bioinformatics, image recognition,automation, and other fields, becoming an area of active research. In the relevant studies of neural networks, the filtering problem holds significant theoretical significance and practical value. This paper investigates the event-triggered filtering problem of delayed neural networks under Denial-of-Service(DoS) attacks. Firstly, a denial-of-service attack model is established;secondly,deep neural networks, event-triggering mechanisms, and denial-of-service attacks are integrated integrated into a cohesive framework, defining a switching filtering system and establishing a new filtering error model;then, using Lyapunov stability theory and Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) techniques, the sufficient conditions for exponential mean-square stability of this mathematical model are derived. Reasonable boundary techniques are selected to handle delay-related terms in the Lyapunov-Krasowski functional derivative. Additionally, a new sufficient condition for the coordinated design of the filter and event-triggering parameters is derived in LMI form. At last, the proposed method's effectiveness has been validated through numerical examples.

The Qinba Mountains are climatically and ecologically recognized as the northsouth transitional zone of *** of its phenology is critical for comprehending the response of vegetation to climatic *** retrieved the start of spring phenology （SOS）of eight forest communities from the MODIS products and adopted it as an indicator for spring *** analysis,partial correlation analysis,and Geo Detector were employed to reveal the spatio-temporal patterns and climatic drivers of *** results indicated that the SOS presented an advance trend from 2001 to 2020,with a mean rate of–0.473 d yr–*** SOS of most forests correlated negatively with air temperature （TEMP） and positively with precipitation （PRE）,suggesting that rising TEMP and increasing PRE in spring would forward and delay SOS,*** dominant factors influencing the sensitivity of SOS to climatic variables were altitude,forest type,and latitude,while the effects of slope and aspect were relatively *** response of SOS to climatic factors varied significantly in space and among forest communities,partly due to the influence of altitude,slope,and aspect.

Cutaneous nerve regeneration in diabetic wounds remains a challenge for current clinical ***,a natural protein-based functional hydrogel is developed using keratin as the sole matrix,and protocatechuic aldehyde(PA)and zinc ions as the building blocks through dual-dynamic crosslinking reactions of thiol-aldehyde addition and catecholzinc ions *** unique structural design endows the hydrogel with excellent injectability,skin adhesion,self-healing and antibacterial ability,and *** addition,this hydrogel acts as a drug carrier for the loading and sustained release of phellopterin(PP),a natural compound extracted from traditional Chinese medicine Angelica *** findings demonstrate that the PP-loaded hydrogel promotes cutaneous nerve regeneration,angiogenesis and tissue remodeling in the full-thickness wounds in both db/db and streptozotocin-induced C57BL/6 diabetic mice,notably by the synergistic effect of zinc ions and PP,showing a great potential in diabetic wound therapy.
