Owing to their excellent performance and large design space,curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite structures have gained considerable attention in engineering fields such as aerospace and *** addition to the stiffness and strength of such structures,their stability also needs to be taken into account in the *** study proposes a level-set-based optimization framework for maximizing the buckling load of curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite *** the proposed method,the contours of the level set function are used to represent fiber *** a composite laminate with a certain number of layers,one level set function is defined by radial basis functions and expansion coefficients for each ***,the fiber angle at an arbitrary point is the tangent orientation of the contour through this *** the finite element of buckling,the stiffness and geometry matrices of an element are related to the fiber angle at the element *** study considers the parallelism constraint for fiber *** the sensitivity calculation of the objective and constraint functions,the method of moving asymptotes is utilized to iteratively update all the expansion coefficients regarded as design *** numerical examples under different boundary conditions are given to validate the proposed *** show that the optimized curved fiber paths tend to be parallel and equidistant regardless of whether the composite laminates contain holes or ***,the buckling resistance of the final design is significantly improved.

Traditional wireless sensor networks(WSNs)are typically deployed in remote and hostile environments for information *** wireless communication methods adopted by sensor nodes may make the network highly vulnerable to various *** encryption and authentication mechanisms cannot prevent attacks launched by internal malicious *** trust-based security mechanism is usually adopted to solve this problem in ***,the behavioral evidence used for trust estimation presents some uncertainties due to the open wireless medium and the inexpensive sensor ***,how to efficiently collect behavioral evidences are rarely *** address these issues,in this paper,we present a trust management mechanism based on fuzzy logic and a cloud ***,a type-II fuzzy logic system is used to preprocess the behavioral evidences and alleviate ***,the cloud model is introduced to estimate the trust values for sensor ***,a dynamic behavior monitoring protocol is proposed to provide a balance between energy conservation and safety *** results demonstrate that our trust management mechanism can effectively protect the network from internal malicious attacks while enhancing the energy efficiency of behavior monitoring.

Only simplified two-dimensional model and a single failure mode are adopted to calculate the ultimate pullout capacity(UPC)of anchor cables in most previous *** study focuses on a more comprehensive combination failure mode that consists of bond failure of an anchorage body and failure of an anchored rock *** three-dimensional ultimate pullout capacity of the anchor cables is calculated based on the Hoek-Brown failure criterion and variation analysis *** numerical solution for the curvilinear function in fracture plane is obtained based on the finite difference theory,which more accurately reflects the failure state of the anchor cable,as opposed to that being assumed in *** results reveal that relying solely on a single failure mode for UPC calculations has limitations,as changes in parameter values not only directly impact the UPC value but also can alter the failure model and thus the calculation method.

Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a class of covalently closed single-stranded RNAs that are expressed during the development of specific cells and *** play crucial roles in physiological and pathological processes by sponging microRNAs,modulating gene transcription,controlling the activity of certain RNA-binding proteins,and producing functional peptides.A key focus of research at present is the functionality of circRNAs in the nervous system and several advances have emerged over the last 2 ***,the precise role of circRNAs in the nervous system has yet to be comprehensively *** this review,we first summarize the recently described roles of circRNAs in brain development,maturity,and ***,we focus on the involvement of circRNAs in various diseases of the central nervous system,such as brain cancer,chronic neurodegenerative diseases,acute injuries of the nervous system,and neuropathic pain.A better understanding of the functionality of circRNAs will help us to develop potential diagnostic,prognostic,and therapeutic strategies to treat diseases of the nervous system.

To restore dam-blocked natural fish migratory passages,a growing number of artificial fishways have been built in water conservancy and hydropower projects in *** Angu hydropower station involved diverse important fish habitats in the lower reaches of the Daduhe River in Southwest ***,a vertical slot fishway(VSF)and a nature-like fishway(NLF)were built near the backwater area of the reservoir to connect the upstream and downstream *** and aquatic ecological surveys were conducted after the completion of the project to estimate the fish passing effect of the two *** results indicated that both fishways were in effective operation and could maintain the desired hydrodynamic conditions and be used by several local fish *** the survey,149 fish from 15 species and 111 fish from 17 species were captured by the traps in the VSF and NLF,respectively,while 1263 fish from 27 species were found in the downstream *** species captured in the VSF were not found in the NLF,and vice versa,which implied the different preferences of ***,3789 signals including 2099 upward ones and 1690 downward ones were monitored with an ultrasonic fish detector at the inlet of the *** findings revealed the characteristics of fish species observed in and near the fishways and provided valuable insights into the different fish passing capabilities of VSFandNLF.

Class III tight oil reservoirs have low porosity and permeability,which are often responsible for low production rates and limited *** repeated fracturing is a well-known technique to fix some of these *** such methods,existing fractures are refractured,and/or new fractures are created to facilitate communication with natural *** study explored how different refracturing methods affect horizontal well fracture networks,with a special focus on morphology and related fluid flow *** particular,the study relied on the unconventional fracture model(UFM).The evolution of fracture morphology and flow field after the initial fracturing were analyzed *** simulation results indicated that increased formation energy and reduced reservoir stress differences can promote fracture *** was shown that the length of the fracture network,the width of the fracture network,and the complexity of the fracture can be improved,the oil drainage area can be increased,the distance of oil and gas seepage can be reduced,and the production of a single well can be significantly increased.

Topological data analysis can extract effective information from higher-dimensional *** mathematical basis is persistent *** persistent homology can calculate topological features at different spatiotemporal scales of the dataset,that is,establishing the integrated taxonomic relation among points,lines,and ***,the simplicial network composed of all-order simplices in a simplicial complex is *** the sequence of nested simplicial subnetworks can be regarded as a discrete Morse function from the simplicial network to real values,a method based on the concept of critical simplices can be developed by searching all-order spanning *** this new method,not only the Morse function values with the theoretical minimum number of critical simplices can be obtained,but also the Betti numbers and composition of all-order cavities in the simplicial network can be calculated ***,this method is used to analyze some examples and compared with other methods,showing its effectiveness and feasibility.
