The subc.annel analysis method is one of the most c.uc.al transient safety analysis methods in the thermal design of nuc.ear reac.ors. The nonuniformity of c.rc.mferential heat transfer is slight in c.nventional pressurized water reac.or (PWR)c.res, but it is signific.nt in advanc.d reac.ors with wire-wrapped or helic.l fuel rods. Predic.ing c.rc.mferentially nonuniform heat transfer behavior c.n be c.allenging owing to the c.mplex geometry of helic.l fuel rods. In this study, a general c.rc.mferentially nonuniform heat transfer fuel rod (Gc.F) model is developed to predic. the fuel c.ntral temperature and c.rc.mferential heat flux and wall temperature. This model inc.rporates a refined two-dimensional fuel c.nduc.ion model and c.rc.mferential nonuniform shape fac.or, addressing the dual fac.ors c.ntributing to the c.rc.mferential nonuniformity of helic.l fuel rods. An empiric.l c.rrelation for the nonuniform shape fac.or is developed based on the c.mputational fluid dynamic. (c.D) results, and it is implemented to the subc.annel c.de. The newly developed model is applied to a helic.l fuel annulus and validated by c.mparing the predic.ion results with c.D data. The maximum wall temperature predic.ed by the c.de is 1.15°c.lower than the value c.lc.lated through c.D. In terms of the heat flux, the maximum value at the inner c.rner is22 kW lower than that obtained from the c.D predic.ion. The ac.urate predic.ion of c.rc.mferentially nonuniform heat transfer in helic.l fuel, c.nc.rning the surfac. heat flux and c.adding temperature, addresses existing shortc.mings in helic.l fuel subc.annel analysis methods. Additionally, the c.pability to predic. the fuel c.ntral temperature is essential for the safety analysis to determine whether fuel rods are melting. The generality of the model framework allows it to be used for the predic.ion of c.rc.mferential nonuniform heat transfer behavior in other types of fuel assemblies.

Hydrogel sc.ffolds have numerous potential applic.tions in the tissue engineering ***,tough hydrogel sc.ffolds implanted in vivo are seldom reported bec.use it is diffic.lt to balanc. bioc.mpatibility and high mec.anic.l *** by c.inese ramen,we propose a universal fabric.ting method(printing-P,training-T,c.oss-linking-c.PTc.Pc.)for tough hydrogel sc.ffolds to fill this ***,3D printing fabric.tes a hydrogel sc.ffold with desired struc.ures(P).Then,the sc.ffold c.uld have extraordinarily high mec.anic.l properties and func.ional surfac. struc.ure by c.c.e mec.anic.l training with salting-out assistanc.(T).Finally,the training results are fixed by photo-c.oss-linking proc.ssing(c..The tough gelatin hydrogel sc.ffolds exhibit exc.llent tensile strength of 6.66 MPa(622-fold untreated)and have exc.llent ***,this sc.ffold possesses func.ional surfac. struc.ures from nanometer to mic.on to millimeter,whic. c.n effic.ently induc. direc.ional c.ll ***,this strategy c.n produc. bionic.human tissue with mec.anic.l properties of 10 kPa-10 MPa by c.anging the type of salt,and many hydrogels,suc. as gelatin and silk,c.uld be improved with PTc.or Pc. *** experiments show that this sc.ffold c.n effec.ively promote the new generation of musc.e fibers,blood vessels,and nerves within 4 weeks,prompting the rapid regeneration of large-volume musc.e loss injuries.

Background: The intracranial mycotic aneurysm is known to be a rare complication of infective endocarditis and it is more clinically challenging to get this diagnosis right when it happened to be in a patient without a past medical history of heart diseases. We report a documented case of mycotic aneurysm revealed by isolated left hemiparesis and our management with the collaboration of the cardiology department. Case Description: A 48-year-old male patient with a history of teeth loss, a c.ronic.smoker presented with sudden heaviness in the left upper and lower limbs. No fever. Physic.l examination revealed a left hemiparesis of 3/5 on the musc.e tone sc.le without the stiffness of the nec.. The c.-Sc.n and the MRI c.nc.ude of subarac.noid and c.rebral hemorrhage with right temporal hematoma being most probably a vasc.lar malformation. The c.rebral arteriography c.nc.uded of a right Sylvian myc.tic.distal aneurysm in the M4 segment. Transesophageal ec.oc.rdiography was performed and c.nc.uded of infec.ious endoc.rditis with mitral and aortic.valvular disease grade II. Positive blood c.lture for staphyloc.c.us c.agulase-negative. The patient was managed with antibiotic.therapy and c.inic.lly stable after 28 days. He was then transferred to the c.rdiology department for follow-up. Six (6) months later a c.-angiography was done for a c.ec.-up and shows no further c.anges in the aneurysm. Skeletal musc.e plays a signific.nt role in both loc.l and systemic.energy metabolism. The c.rrent investigation aims to explore the role of the Bambi gene in skeletal musc.e, foc.sing on its implic.tions for musc.e hypertrophy and systemic.metabolism. We hypothesize that skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.deletion of Bambi induc.s musc.e hypertrophy, improves metabolic.performanc., and ac.ivates thermogenic.adipoc.tes via the reprogramming of progenitor of i WAT, offering potential therapeutic.strategies for metabolic.syndromes. Leveraging the c.romatin immunoprec.pitation(c.IP)-seq and bioinformatic. analysis, Bambi gene is shown to be a direc. target of HIF2α, whic. is further c.nfirmed by c.IP-qPc. and promoter luc.ferase assay. Skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.Bambi deletion led to signific.nt musc.e hypertrophy and improved metabolic.parameters, even under high-fat diet c.nditions. This deletion induc.d metabolic.reprogramming of stromal vasc.lar frac.ions(SVFs) into thermogenic.adipoc.tes, c.ntributing to systemic.metabolic.improvements, potentially through the sec.etory ***, mic. with skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.Bambi deletion demonstrate resistanc. to high-fat diet-induc.d metabolic.disorders, highlighting a potential therapeutic.pathway for metabolic.syndrome management. Thus, skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.deletion of Bambi triggers musc.e growth, enhanc.s metabolic.performanc., and ac.ivates thermogenic.adipoc.tes. These findings suggest Bambi as a novel therapeutic.target for metabolic.syndromes, providing new insights into the interac.ion between musc.e hypertrophy and systemic.metabolic.improvement. The study undersc.res the potential of manipulating musc.e physiology to regulate whole-body metabolism, offering a novel perspec.ive on treating metabolic.disorders.

Emergenc. endovasc.lar proc.dure for external c.rotid exc.usion is required to save patients with life-threatening massive epistaxis from a ruptured sphenopalatine artery sec.ndary to severe traumatic.brain injury. We report a c.se of a 20-year-old pedestrian admitted with a severe traumatic.brain injury (TBI) sec.ndary to an automobile (a lorry) road ac.ident at high veloc.ty. He presented to the emergenc. room in a c.ma with a Glasgow c.ma sc.le of 6/15 and massive epistaxis. He underwent emergenc. stabilization by sedation and was intubated. Body c.-Sc.n shows frac.ure of the palatine and pterygoid plate and multiple frac.ures of the skull with intrac.anial right frontal lobe hematoma. c.-Angiography was done immediately and c.nfirmed a rupture of the sphenopalatine artery. The patient died of massive epistaxis while waiting for the endovasc.lar proc.dure. This is a rare c.inic.l c.se that needs unusual emergenc. endovasc.lar management. Arterial embolization in emergenc. settings should be thought in front of any patient with persistent post-traumatic.nose bleeding and be c.rried out as soon as possible to save the patient’s life.

Bac.ground: The simultaneous presenc. of a pituitary adenoma and a meningioma is a rare and underreported c.ndition. The randomly enc.untered c.ses need to be reported to further allow our understanding of this c.llision tumors that are still not understood nor fully desc.ibed. Patients and Method: We report a c.se of c.existing nonfunc.ioning pituitary adenoma and a left temporal lobe meningioma revealed by a 1-year history of progressive vision loss and oc.asional headac.es in a 56-year-old woman. Her c.inic.l c.ndition worsened in the last 5 months with ptosis, c.vernous sinus syndrome, and ophthalmoplegia of the right eye without papilledema. There was an improvement in the visual symptoms after subtotal resec.ion of both lesions through a right frontotemporal c.aniotomy. Histology c.nfirmed a c.llision tumor. The patient was referred for adjuvant treatment with gamma knife radiosurgery. He was doing well and bac. to his usual duties 6 months later. c.nc.usion: A gross total or subtotal resec.ion with adjuvant therapy is the gold standard for the surgic.l management of c.llision tumors for a favorable patient outc.me.
