A self-healing strategy with fault-cell reutilization of bio-inspired hardware

The self-healing strategy is a key component in designing the bio-inspired embryonics circuit with the structure of cell arrays. However, the existing self-healing strategies of embryonics circuits mainly focus on permanent faults inside the modules of cells such as the function module and the configuration register, while little attention is paid to transient faults. From the point of view of obtaining high efficiency of hardware utilization, it would be a huge waste of hardware resources by permanent elimination when a cell only suffers a transient fault which can be repaired by a configuration mechanism. A new self-healing strategy, the Fault-Cell Reutilization Self-healing Strategy(FCRSS) which presents a method for reusing transient fault cells, is proposed in this paper. The circuit structures of all the modules in the cells are described in detail. In the new strategy, two processes of elimination and reconfiguration are combined. Within the process of fault-cell elimination, cells with transient faults in the embryonics circuit array could be reused simultaneously to replace the functions of the cells on their left side in the same row. Therefore, transient fault-cells in a transparent state can be reconfigured to realize the fault-cell reutilization. Finally,a circuit simulation, resource consumption, a reliability analysis and a detailed normalization analysis are presented. The FCRSS can improve the hardware utilization rate and system reliability at the expense of a small amount of hardware resources and reconfiguration time. Following the conclusion, the method of determining the optimal self-healing strategy is presented according to the environmental conditions.

The impact force response of a peach impacting on a metal flat-surface was considered as nondestructive determination of firmness. The objectives were to analyze the effect of firmness, drop height, fruit mass, and impact orientation on the impact force parameters, and to establish a relationship between the impact force parameter and firmness. The effect of fruit firmness, drop height and fruit mass on the impact force parameters (coefficient of restitution, percentage of energy absorbed, and coefficient of force-time) was evaluated. The study found that the coefficient of restitution, percentage of energy absorbed, and force-time impact coefficient were significantly affected by fruit ripeness, but not affected by drop height, impact position (fruit cheek), and mass. The percentage of absorbed energy increased with ripeness, while the force-time impact coefficient and coefficient of restitution decreased with ripeness. Relationships were obtained between the three impact characteristic parameters (force-time impact coefficient, coefficient of restitution, and percentage of energy absorbed) and peach firmness using a polynomial model (R2=0.932), S model (R2=0.910), and exponential model (R2=0.941), respectively.

通过响应面法优化H_(2)O_(2)制备皂角米多糖的工艺,并对产物结构进行表征,探讨其抗氧化能力。结果表明:H_(2)O_(2)制备皂角米多糖的最佳条件为H_(2)O_(2)体积分数3.0%、提取温度80℃、提取时间7 h,在此条件下皂角米多糖得率为36.30%±0.76%,重均分子量为162 kDa。皂角米多糖由甘露糖、葡萄糖和半乳糖组成,其中甘露糖与半乳糖含量比值为2.14。制得的皂角米多糖主要由t-Galp、t-Manp、1,4-Manp、1,6-Glcp、1,4-Glcp、1,4,6-Galp组成,含量分别为5.49%、20.60%、43.06%、1.25%、2.79%、26.80%。当H_(2)O_(2)提取的皂角米多糖质量浓度为5.00 mg/mL时,其对DPPH·、·O-2的清除率以及还原力分别为87.40%±1.89%、83.28%±1.96%和0.723±0.027。

Astragalus mongholicus ameliorates renal fibrosis by modulating HGF and TGF-β in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction

Astragalus mongholicus （AM） derived from the dry root ofAstragalus membranaceus Bge. var. mongolicus （Bge.） Hsiao is a widely used traditional Chinese medicine. The present study investigated the potential role of AM on renal fibrosis on a rat model of unilateral ureteral obstruction （UUO）. We divided 48 Sprague-Dawley rats randomly into 4 groups： sham-operated group （Sham）, untreated UUO group, AM-treated （10 g/（kg.d）） UUO group, and losartan-treated （20 mg/（kg.d）） UUO group as positive control. Haematoxylin ＆ eosin （HE） and Masson staining were used to study the dynamic histological changes of the kidneys 7 and 14 d after operation. The expressions of fibronectin （FN）, type I collagen （coil）, hepatocyte growth factor （HGF）, transforming growth factor-β1 （TGF-β1）, and eL-smooth muscle actin （α-SMA） were analyzed by real-time polymerase chain reaction （PCR）, immunohistochemistry staining, and Western blot. Results show that, similar to losartan, AM alleviated the renal damage and decreased the deposition of FN and coil from UUO by reducing the expressions of TGF-β1 and α-SMA （P〈0.05）, whereas HGF increased greatly with AM treatment （P〈0.05）. Our findings reveal that AM could retard the progression of renal fibrosis. The renoprotective effect of AM might be related to inhibition ofmyofibroblast activation, inducing of HGF and reducing of TGF-β1 expression.

In order to find out a new pathway for utilizing heterosis of Zinnia elegans and accelerate breeding process, the mechanism of anther development of a male sterile line was explored. Backcross, sibmating, selling of fertile plants and testcross with inbred lines were analyzed and identified in the field, and cytology was observed. Recessive nucleus male sterile line AH209AB capable of being a maintainer was obtained by successive backcrosses with male sterile plants and fertile F1 plants as male parents. Cytological and anatomical studies indicated that：（1） The wall of normal anther was constituted of four layers of cells such as epidermis, powder chamber wall, middle level and tapetum cells. The process in meiosis of pollen mother cell in Zinnia elegans was normal and cytoplasm divided simultanously. Mature pollen grain was tricellular type. （2） The petal of male sterile plant degraded as a thread-like structure, the stamens were villiform in appearance and no pollens were formed. The result showed that the anther of male sterile plant no longer proceed to differentiate spore mother cell and the pollen sac after the formation of the tissue of sporogenous cells, there was no evident boundary between tapetum cell, middle lamella and inner wall of PMC, tapetal cells did not develop from the very beginning. So the abortion type was completely structural male sterility. The male sterile line belongs to non-sporange male sterile type and is of great use in F1 seeds production.

Biomass-derived carbon has demonstrated great potentials as advanced electrode for capacitive deionization(CDI),owing to good electroconductivity,easy availability,intrinsic pores/***,conventional simple pyrolysis of biomass always generates inadequate porosity with limited surface ***,biomass-derived carbon also suffers from poor wettability and single physical adsorption of ions,resulting in limited desalination ***,pore structure optimization and element co-doping are integrated on banana peels(BP)-derived carbon to construct hierarchically porous and B,N co-doped carbon with large ions-accessible surface area.A unique expansionactivation(EA)strategy is proposed to modulate the porosity and specific surface area of ***,B,N co-doping could increase the ions-accessible sites with improved hydrophilicity,and promote ions *** from the synergistic effect of hierarchical porosity and B,N co-doping,the resultant electrode manifest enhanced CDI performance for NaCl with large desalination capacity(29.5 mg g^(-1)),high salt adsorption rate(6.2 mg g^(-1)min^(-1)),and versatile adsorption ability for other *** functional theory reveals the enhanced deionization mechanism by pore and B,N *** work proposes a facile EA strategy for pore structure modulation of biomass-derived carbon,and demonstrates great potentials of integrating pore and heteroatoms-doping on constructing high-performance CDI electrode.

A model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for water saving irrigation system (WSIS) decision making is proposed based on establishing an index system affected by six kinds of basic factors including qualitative and quantitative indexes. The object function of WSIS is set up by using the concept of fuzzy membership degree, it is to transform characteristic vector matrix into unify membership matrix and extending the least square method to the least of weighted distance square. The optimum weighted membership degree and the inferior weighted membership degree are used to solve the object function. This method effective solves the problem of classify for fuzzy attributive indexes and the problem of optimum for the set of different attributive indexes. A case study shows that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is reasonable and effective in decision making for water saving irrigation system planning.
