SiO_(2)-Supported Ni(II)and Fe(II)Catalysts Bearing Sodium-Sulfonate Group for Olefin Polymerization

Heterogeneous catalysts have been dominant for industrial polyolefin production,offering many distinct advantages,such as controlling the morphology of the polymer and preventing reactor *** this contribution,we designed several types of imine ligands bearing sodium-sulfonate ionic groups and the corresponding nickel/iron *** catalysts could be immobilized on SiO_(2)with strong affinity and high catalyst *** SiO_(2)-supported catalysts behaved better than their homogeneous counterparts during ethylene polymerization with extremely high activity(2.6×10^(4)kg·mol^(−1)·h^(−1))and high thermal *** addition,the supported nickel catalysts generated free-flowing polyethylene with high molecular weight(Mn up to 2.65×10^(3)kg·mol^(–1))and excellent morphology control,indicating no reactor fouling due to the leaching of ***,for copolymerization,immobilized nickel catalysts showed a higher tolerance of polar monomers,and the efficient copolymerization of ethylene with undecylenic acid was achieved with high activity(450 kg·mol^(−1)·h^(−1))and a high incorporation ratio(up to 12.3%).

Work hardening is a well-known phenomenon occurring in crystalline metals during deformation,which has been widely used to increase the strength of metals although their ductility is usually reduced simultaneously. Here we report that the plastic strain of Zr41Ti14Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 (at.%) bulk metallic glasses has been increased from 0.3% for the as-cast sample to 2.5%-8.0% for samples that have experienced pre-deformation under constrained conditions. The pre-deformed glassy alloys possess more free volume and abundant introduced shear bands,which are believed to promote the activation of shear bands in post-deformation and result in an increase in plasticity. The orientation of the pre-introduced shear bands relative to the loading direction will affect the deformation behavior of pre-deformed samples. The present results show that pre-deformation of this glassy alloy will result in work toughening. This work toughening effect can be removed by isothermal annealing at a sub-Tg (glass transition) temperature,which causes annihilation of free volume and healing of shear bands.

Background:Tuberculosis(TB)patients in China still face a number of barriers in seeking diagnosis and *** is evidence that the economic burden on TB patients and their households discourages treatment ***:A cross-sectional study was conducted in three cities of *** were selected using probability proportional to size(PPS)cluster sampling of rural townships or urban streets,followed by list sampling from a patient *** were collected using a questionnaire survey,key informant interviews and focus group discussions with TB patients to gain an understanding of the economic burden of TB and implications of this burden for treatment ***:A total of 797 TB patients were surveyed,of which 60 were interviewed in-depth following the *** than half had catastrophic health *** patients with higher household incomes were less likely to report non-compliance(OR 0.355,95%CI 0.140–0.830)and patients who felt that the economic burden relating to TB treatment was high more likely to report non-compliance(OR 3.650,95%CI 1.278–12.346).Those who had high costs for transportation,lodging and food were also more likely to report non-compliance(OR 4.150,95%CI 1.804–21.999).The findings from the qualitative studies supported those from the ***:The economic burden associated with seeking diagnosis and treatment remains a barrier for TB patients in *** the cost of treatment and giving patients subsidies for transportation,lodging and food is likely to improve treatment *** doctors’salary system to cut off the revenue-oriented incentive,and expanding current insurance’s coverage can be helpful to reduce patients’actual burden or anticipated *** research on this issue is needed.

Hydrothermal deactivation is a constant chal-lenge in commercial catalytic process aimed at NOx emission control,which may be observed in the low(150-400℃)or high(400-550℃)-reaction *** the best of our knowledge,there is a lack of systematic research regarding the correlation between the reaction sites and the mechanism of hydrothermal degradation at various reaction *** a targeted investigation of this,Cu/zeolite catalysts have been prepared using different amounts of polyvinyl alcohol for adjusting their redox and acid *** catalysts exhibit hydrothermal deactivation in different reaction *** change is observed in the reaction mechanism even with hydrother-mal deactivation,but various reaction sites determine the performance deterioration in the low-and high-reaction *** redox properties and weak acid sites affect the hydrothermal deactivation in the low-reaction region,whereas the moderate/strong acid sites related to the structure mainly influence the hydrothermal deactivation in the high-reaction *** work provides several the-oretical insights for optimizing the hydrothermal stabilities of Cu/zeolite catalysts.

Mitochondria,with their intricate networks of functions and information processing,are pivotal in both health regulation and disease ***,mitochondrial dysfunctions are identified in many common pathologies,including cardiovascular diseases,neurodegeneration,metabolic syndrome,and ***,the multifaceted nature and elusive phenotypic threshold of mitochondrial dysfunction complicate our understanding of their contributions to ***,these complexities do not prevent mitochondria from being among the most important therapeutic *** recent years,strategies targeting mitochondrial dysfunction have continuously emerged and transitioned to clinical *** intervention such as using healthy mitochondria to replenish or replace damaged mitochondria,has shown promise in preclinical trials of various *** components,including mtDNA,mitochondria-located microRNA,and associated proteins can be potential therapeutic agents to augment mitochondrial function in immunometabolic diseases and tissue ***,we review current knowledge of mitochondrial pathophysiology in concrete examples of common *** also summarize current strategies to treat mitochondrial dysfunction from the perspective of dietary supplements and targeted therapies,as well as the clinical translational situation of related pharmacology ***,this review discusses the innovations and potential applications of mitochondrial transplantation as an advanced and promising treatment.

Polydimethylsiloxane containing methacryloyloxy and methoxy silane groups(MAPDMS)-microcapsule-SiO_(2)(MPMS)functional materials were prepared by constructing micro-nano hierarchical structures on the surface of MAPDMS ***,MAPDMS@1,1-stilbene-modified hydrolyzed polyglycidyl methacrylate/graphene oxide/dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ammonium chloride(MAPDMS@PGMA_(m)/GO/QC18)self-healing microcapsules with compact multi-shell structure were synthesized and combined with nano-SiO_(2)to construct the hierarchical ***,ultraviolet(UV)/moisture dual curing mode was introduced into deep curing reaction and efficient self-healing reaction of the *** results show that the introduction of UV/moisture dual curing mode and micro-nano hierarchical structure gives MPMS functional materials excellent mechanical properties,antifouling properties,self-healing properties,antibacterial *** shear strength and tensile strength of MPMS increase from 3.32 and 4.26 MPa of MAPDMS to 3.81 and 5.06 MPa,*** static contact angle increases from 115.9°of MAPDMS to 156.5°,its slide angle decreases from 68.5°of MAPDMS to 7.8°,*** antifouling performance of MPMS against seawater,soy sauce,juice,coffee,protein,other contaminants is effectively improved compared with MAPDMS *** the same time,the tensile strength and elongation at break of MPMS after healing reach 98.22%and 96.57%of those in original state,*** addition,the antibacterial rates of MPMS against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus reach 99.85%and 100%,*** MPMS prepared in this paper is expected to be widely used in marine antifouling,pipeline network,anti-icing,microfluidics,wearable devices,medical devices,electrochemical biosensors,other fields.

Ice flux of alpine glaciers controls erosion and landscape in the Nianbaoyeze Shan,northeastern Tibetan Plateau

The evolution of mountainous topography is the result of the interactions of climate,topography,and *** are one of the most active erosional forces sculpting mountainous ***,our ability to understand this erosional force is limited by the controversy regarding the major factors controlling glacial *** selected the Nianbaoyeze Shan,which is occupied by subcontinental glaciers(likely cold-based or polythermal glaciers)in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau,to study how erosion by alpine glaciers sculpts the *** first applied a power law model(y=axb)fit to the cross-profiles of glacial valleys and analyzed the controlling factor of glacial erosion;we then identified the morphometric characteristics of the cirques to analyze the influencing factors,and investigated the development patterns of glacial valleys and ***,we used hypsometry and the slopealtitude curves and reconstructed the palaeo-glacier surfaces and palaeo-Equilibrium Line Altitudes(ELAs)to determine if the glacial buzzsaw effect had impacted this glaciated region with subcontinental *** findings show that ice flux is the main factor controlling glacial *** this region,decreasing temperatures promote an increase in glacier mean size(i.e.,ice flux),which enhances the rate of glacial *** morphology is mainly influenced by aspect and the *** development patterns of glacial valleys and cirques were dominated by a widening *** ELAs of Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)-3 derived from the cirque floor altitudes or the Accumulation Area Ratio(AAR)and Area-Altitude Balance Ratio(AABR)coincide with the hypsometric maximum and the reduction in slopealtitude curves,which indicates that glacial buzzsaw has impacted this ***,the glacial buzzsaw effect has profoundly influenced the mountain heights and topographic evolution in this subcontinental glaciated region.

Estimation and validation of characteristic length of internal solitary wave based on normal mode coupling

For a fluid medium with density stratification, the internal wave is easily observed under disturbance of waves, and the acoustic transmission loss and the characteristic parameters of the internal solitary wave are related. The mathematical relationship between the horizontal wavenumber difference of normal modes and the characteristic length of internal wave is established according to the coupling theory of normal modes. Furthermore, a method for estimating the characteristic length of internal solitary wave based on active acoustic means is proposed. The numerical simulation results reveal that the internal solitary wave has a significant influence on the forward transmission of sound *** a specific frequency, the transmission loss of sound waves fluctuates significantly and is related to the wavenumber difference of the coupling between internal waves and normal modes. An experiment system for studying internal waves in a tank is established, and the forward scattering data of the internal waves are collected by using a developed broadband transient plasma sound source. The feasibility of estimating the characteristic parameters of the internal solitary wave based on the resonance phenomenon is verified through experimental data analysis.
