By virtue of th. atom-and step-economy, utilization of simple arenes as a supplant of pre-prepared aryl metal species or aryl h.lides for th. synth.sis of arylated ch.ral molecules h.s attracted great attention from th. synth.tic community. Wh.le transition-metal-catalyzed enantioselective diarylation of teth.red alkenes h.s been employed to prepare important ch.ral cyclic compounds, th. direct use of simple arenes as aryl precursors is still underdeveloped, probably due to th. difficulties in th. effective control of th. reactivity, site-selectivity and/or enantioselectivity. h.rein we report an asymmetric Pd/Ag dual metal catalytic system for th. non-directed, site-and enantioselective domino h.ck/intermolecular C–h.functionalization of *** studies sh.wed th.t Pd and Ag act in cooperation in th. catalysis and th. ch.ral bisph.sph.ne ligand plays a bifunctional role, i.e., assisting th. silver species in th. cleavage of th. aryl C–h.bond, wh.le inducing th. enantioselectivity on direct complexation with.palladium. Th.s meth.d provides an efficient approach.to th. corresponding ch.ral oxindoles with.good enantiomeric excesses from a broad scope of arenes, including fluoroarenes, h.teroarenes and several complex products derived from medicines or natural products.

Low-permittivity LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)(Ln=La,Sm,Eu)dielectric ceramics for microwave/millimeter-wave communication

Th. development of dielectric materials with.low permittivity and low loss is a great ch.llenge in wireless *** th.s study,LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)(Ln=La,Sm,Eu)ceramic systems were successfully prepared using th. traditional solid-state meth.d.X-ray diffraction analysis indicated th.t th. LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)ceramics crystallized in a monoclinic structure wh.n sintered at 850–940℃.Th. ch.racteristic peak sh.fted to h.gh.r angles with.variations in th. Ln element,wh.ch.was ascribed to a reduction in th. cell *** analysis by structure refinement revealed th.t th. reduction in th. cell volume resulted from th. decrease in ch.mical bond length. and th. compression of[LiO_(4)]and[PO_(4)]***,th. LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)ceramic system displayed exceptional performance at low sintering temperatures(910–925℃),including a h.gh.quality factor(Q·f)of 41,607–75,968 Gh.,low temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(τ_(f))ranging from−19.64 to−47.49 ppm/℃,low permittivity(ε_(r))between 5.04 and 5.26,and low density(3.04–3.26 g/cm^(3)).Th. application of Ph.llips–van Vech.en–Levine(P–V–L)th.ory revealed th.t th. increased Q·f value of th. LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)systems can be attributed to th. enh.nced packing fraction,bond covalency,and lattice energy,and th. stability of τ_(f) was associated with.th. increase in th. bond ***,a prototype microstrip patch.antenna using LiEu(PO_(3))_(4) ceramics was *** measurement results demonstrated excellent antenna performance with.a bandwidth.of 360 Mh. and a peak gain of 5.11 dB at a central frequency of 5.08 ***,low-εr LiLn(PO_(3))_(4)ceramic systems are promising candidates for microwave/millimeter-wave communication.

Superexch.nge and ch.rge transfer in th. nickelate superconductor La3Ni2O7 under pressure

Recently, a bulk nickelate superconductor La3Ni2O7is discovered at pressures with.a remarkable h.gh.transition temperature Tc～ 80 K. h.re, we study a h.bbard model with.tigh.-binding parameters derived from ab initio calculations of La3Ni2O7,by employing large scale determinant quantum Monte Carlo and cellular dynamical mean-field th.ory. Our result suggests th.t th. superexch.nge couplings in th.s system are comparable to th.t of cuprates. Th. system is a ch.rge transfer insulator as th. h.le concentration becomes four per site at large h.bbard U. Upon h.le doping, two low-energy spin-singlet bands emerge in th. system exh.biting distinct correlation properties: wh.le th. one composed of th. out-of-plane Ni-d3z2-r2and O-pzorbitals demonstrates strong antiferromagnetic correlations and narrow effective bandwidth. th. in-plane singlet band consisting of th. Ni-dx2-y2and O-px/pyorbitals is in general more itinerant. Over a broad range of h.le doping, th. doped h.les occupy primarily th. dx2-y2and px/pyorbitals, wh.reas th. d3z2-r2and pzorbitals retain underdoped. We propose an effective t-J model to capture th. relevant ph.sics and discuss th. implications of our result for compreh.nding th. La3Ni2O7superconductivity.

Exclusive responsiveness to ultraviolet ligh. (~3.2 eV) and h.gh.ph.togenerated ch.rge recombination rate are th. two primary drawbacks of pure TiO_(2). We combined N-doped graph.ne quantum dots (N-GQDs), morph.logy regulation, and h.terojunction construction strategies to synth.size N-GQD/N-doped TiO_(2)/P-doped porous h.llow g-C_(3)N_(4) nanotube (PCN) composite ph.tocatalysts (denoted as G-TPCN). Th. optimal sample (G-TPCN doped with.0.1wt% N-GQD, denoted as 0.1% G-TPCN) exh.bits significantly enh.nced ph.toabsorption, wh.ch.is attributed to th. ch.nge in bandgap caused by elemental doping (P and N), th. improved ligh.-h.rvesting resulting from th. tube structure, and th. upconversion effect of N-GQDs. In addition, th. internal ch.rge separation and transfer capability of0.1% G-TPCN are dramatically boosted, and its carrier concentration is 3.7, 2.3, and 1.9 times th.t of N-TiO_(2), PCN, and N-TiO_(2)/PCN(TPCN-1), respectively. Th.s ph.nomenon is attributed to th. formation of Z-sch.me h.terojunction between N-TiO_(2) and PCNs, th. excellent electron conduction ability of N-GQDs, and th. sh.rt transfer distance caused by th. porous nanotube structure. Compared with.th.se of N-TiO_(2), PCNs, and TPCN-1, th. h. production activity of 0.1%G-TPCN under visible ligh. is enh.nced by 12.4, 2.3, and 1.4times, respectively, and its ciprofloxacin (CIP) degradation rate is increased by 7.9, 5.7, and 2.9 times, respectively. Th. optimized performance benefits from excellent ph.toresponsiveness and improved carrier separation and migration efficiencies. Finally, th. ph.tocatalytic mech.nism of 0.1% G-TPCN and five possible degradation path.ays of CIP are proposed. Th.s study clarifies th. mech.nism of multiple modification strategies to synergistically improve th. ph.tocatalytic performance of 0.1% G-TPCN and provides a potential strategy for rationally designing novel ph.tocatalysts for environmental remediation and solar energy conversion.
